chapter 4; THE LOCKET
As the cycle of time spinning on the road of life. I turned 2 years old and boy... let me tell you this. I was a 25-year-old guy with 7 Ph.D.'s in every major subject. I was a genius. People envied me for that and that envy can cause problems and situations that will doubt your judgment.
They respected my knowledge, every country wanted me. In front of me, physical strength turned utterly useless. Every technology was under my thumb, not only I could control every computer and device in the world with my knowledge, not even any government sever can put up with me. Yet I couldn't think of a prouder moment in my life than now.
I can walk and control my limbs!
' Till now, I had to make do with stories mother would tell me and Alana. While trying to make us fall asleep. My father would sometimes sit me on his lap while idly talking to me about Alana.
I do say he loves her more than me not that I am saying he does not love it's just whether it's old or new world fathers do love their daughters more than their son. I'm not jealous or anything. I know my sister is the cutest. But let me tell you my mother favors me more.
As me going shopping with mother and Lyla every one's a week. I do get to know the world more. I also found out my father was in the army from previous events. don't know from whom they are hiding.
My father James hale, now works as an assistant healer for Lyla.
He is not as good as her but in this outpost, there are only 5 healers including my father and Lyla. I don't know the reason for him working as a healer but I think they are trying to not expose themselves.
After weeks of attempting to walk correctly without holding the wall, I had finally succeeded;
As my days were spent, eating and playing with my sister going on a little adventure call shopping with mother and Lyla.
I found out an interesting fact about this world. The natives of this world are at war with "Aucrud" an unknown species that invaded the world. And the world I now live in is not wholly based on magic.
Science from my old world is also applied here or you can say that science was here before than magic and people who study those scientific events are known as boffin. This world has technology like no other due to its co-existence with science and magic.
with the advancement of this world, people discovered that they are other creatures on other planets due to that Araucrd took notice of our planet and came to our planet. 'Aucrud' forces took control over10 % of this planet. due to the first war both parties suffered huge losses. 30% of the human population have died in the first invasion from them and so we came to an agreement that No war is going to happen for up to 5 years unless something happened. That's all the knowledge I accumulated from the market and the patients that came.

Let me tell you after listening to all this it feels like I m in a fantasy with a sci-fi plot novel. Now I really can't wait to grow up so that I can learn about the world. every day I get to introduced by the new knowledge of this world. just that I need to be patients.
After a few days, as I and Alana were playing with our stuff toy, sorry let me rephrase that. she was playing and I was trying to improve my motor skills, I felt something. I don't how to describe this feeling, hmm... let me think? Ohh... I get it, it's like someone is calling out for me it is in a low voice.
" Salina... Lyla! Come here. Look, what I found." my father said.
" what is it, what did you find?" my mother asked.
"What, did you pick up this time," Lyla said with a scoffing voice.
"Look here, this is what I got. When I was on the way from the patient's house. I found this neckless beside dying Biryuk in front of the riverbank."
" That's impossible Aren't Biryuk found in snowy areas. I thought they were very secretive. How did it get there." Lyla asked.
"Yes, you right that, not only that, some say that they are as intelligent as humans and they are way more powerful than any human to hunt. They don't even leave their packs." my father said with an excited voice.
"I do know that. I m asking how did it get here," Lyla said. "I don't know about that, but I do find that wolf a little bit odd."My father said.
" How so, honey?" my mother asked.
" Mostly, Biryuk is white in color and have deep blue eyes with tier 10 & mana capacity at 30 but that Biryuk was pure black in color with grey eyes, and as he was dying he had, mana capacity over 100."
" What! that's impossible mana capacity over 100 only available in aristocrats magus and they are only 1000 in our country." Lyla said in a surprised voice.
"I know that's why I m confused." my father said.
" so, where is he now?" my mother asked.
" Now that's a little bit tough to explain." my father said.
"How so?" Lyla asked.
"As he was at his last breath, he disappeared instantly and he leave this behind."
" Wow, it looks pretty isn't it Lyla."My mother said.
" Yeah… can give me that for a second," Lyla asked.
" sure, here take it." My father said.
" Hmm… I don't know why but it looks and feels like an ordinary locket." Lyla said with an insecure voice.

" Is that a problem?" my mother asked. " No, but if you think about it carefully why a powerful being kept an ordinary locket," Lyla said.
" You do have a point. All tier 1 to 10 artifacts are expensive to get and they have a trail of mana leaking out of them. And after when a human crosses-tier 10 they don't have any use of it, so if a powerful being carried it, that means this locket is kind of special to him." my father said. "
" Hmm… you have a point but there is one more reason we are forgetting that people also do carry items as a memento for remembering something or someone. " Lyla said.
" Yes, you do have a point. so what should we do with this now." My father asked.
" I think there should be no problem in keeping it for now if the owner is dead and if someone came looking for it then we should give it to them," Lyla said.
"Ok, I think you are right. So who should we give it to? Do you want it, Lyla?" My father asked.
"No, I don't want it, I do have no use for jewelry. How about you salina." Lyla said
" No, I also don't want it. I don't like wearing jewelry. How about we give it to Griffin or Alana as a gift."
"Yes, I think you are right, let go and see how they react to it."
'What the...Why did this feeling is kept on increasing? Why do I feel like someone is calling out for me? Where are you? Who are you? Why does my body is reacting abnormally?'
" Griffin, Alana look what daddy found do you want it? Daddy can give it to you if you want."
" Hehe...Kids can make the human mind go crazy. A living example is right in front of me. He's asking a question to a 7-month-old child " Lyla said.
" You won't be able to understand, you will find out when you have kids of your own." my father said.
'Huh… this feeling. It's coming from the locket. she is the one who kept calling out to me.
What are you? I mean Who are you? Can you listen to me? Are you the one who kept calling out for me? How can you do that? Hey, hello! are you there. She's not responding why is that.'
'Fuck why this feeling kept on rising, how do I stop it. /Please, help me, help me./ a sweet crying voice echoed in my ears. The voice was inside my head.
What the… mother of god. So you do hear me. /Please help me, help it's hurting. It hurts a lot. Please./ 'how can I help you tell me how do I stop your pain. what can I do for you?'
/Take it… take me away from this person's hand please./the voice said.
'ok, wait a minute let me think for a second. Hmm… how can I take it away from fathers hand. Is it even safe? I mean a talking locket.'
/Please, I m dying here help me please./the voice said. 'Fuck, I don't have time, I have an idea. when kids want something they scratch their hands. so it might work. Let me try.'
Fuck, this is hard. / please, help me hurry./the strange voice said.
'shut up, I'm trying. Dad, please take a look at it here. your son wants the locket.'
"What the... Griffin do you want this locket. hmm...Ok, if you say dada DAADA." my father said with a voice that I sometimes find annoying.
'IS THIS Man insane or what. How can he expects me to say two words? God give me hand, would you? please help me out.'
Ohh...idea thanks god, how about I should try that. Every married man is scared of and that is what you call 'crying', it is the best method for kids to get something from anyone. so, let's give it a try 1..2...3 Go!
"Huh... what the... ok-ok fine you can keep it. don't cry. Take it, it's yours now. happy now ." my father said.
'Yes, success, crying is the best option. Now miss pendent are you fine or what? Hey!, are you there, hello hello can you hear me. am I audible or not.'
Fuck it, I think she passed out or what?
Hey miss, fuck it. Let's try tomorrow. what the... why am feeling? so sleepy now out of nowhere.
Huh, what the wait a min...
To be continued...

To be honest I will just write and upload whenever i feel like it, but if i find it getting relative success I can try write a bit more. This will just be a write, read then upload kind of thing for me while i try to flesh out more worldbuilding. I'm pretty novice when it comes to writing just a few years of secondary english under my belt but hardly any of that's creative. NGL, a lot of this world building is inspired by Tower of God or other fiction i have read, especially the tower-like setting.
