After Jin and Mia passed the gate...

"Reizo I want to talk to you about something."

"What is it, Emily?"

"I want you to train me like you trained Jin."

Reizo looked surprised.

"Are you serious?"

"Of course, I am. I don't want to be helpless, I want to be able to defend myself."

"I can't do this, what would your brother say about this?"

"You don't need to tell him. Let's keep it a secret."

"I don't know. What you ask isn't easy."

"I think it is a good idea to teach me how to defend myself. I will be safer that way."

"Yeah, I can see your point. Okay, I will train you, but only for self-defense purposes."

"Thanks, Reizo. Oh, and you won't tell Jin, right?"

"I won't tell Jin you have my word, but you must agree to follow my instructions."

"Ok, I will do whatever you think is best."

"Let's begin then."

And so, Emily's training started...

Six months passed since Jin and Mia passed the gate. Now they are both inside the house taking a break from a long day of training.

They are sitting on the couch. In front of them, there is a fireplace. It is cold outside, so they lit a fire.

"Man, this was a tough day," said Jin.

"Yeah, I agree with you."

"I can't believe how soon 6 months passed."

"It was tough, but we made it."

"I think we have become a lot stronger since we got in."

"With training in conditions like these is to be expected. Jin I want to ask you something."

"What is it, Mia?"

"Do you think we can win?"

Jin lowered his eyebrows.

"I have to believe we can win because if I don't then there is no hope for us. I keep thinking about what would happen if I fail and I always end up to the same conclusion."

"What is that?"

"I can't fail. Failure is not an option for me. There are too many people that count on me. I fight for them for their future."

"What about your future? You too have a life."

"You are right I do have a life. That is the reason we are here in the first place. Everyone is in danger because of me, because I got into their lives. They don't deserve this."

"You don't deserve this either. You are a good person Jin. In fact, you are the most honest person I know."

"Thank you but this doesn't change the fact that everyone is in danger because of me."

"I am sure you will protect them all."

"Until my last breath."

"Have you thought about what you will do if you beat Sano?"

"What do you mean?"

"Will you become king?"

"Oh, that's what you mean. I guess I haven't thought about that."

"What about the marriage. Do you want this marriage to happen?"

"At first, I thought this was a little crazy but as I started to know you more, I fell for you. I don't have a problem with this marriage anymore in fact I want to marry you but if you don't love me, I can understand that."

Tears started dropping from Mia's eyes.

"Why are you crying, Mia?"

"Of course, I want to marry you, I love you so much Jin."

Jin hugged Mia.

"I won't let anything happen to you Mia I promise. We will be together from now on."

"That is all I could ask for..."

The year passed and Jin and Mia were finally ready to return to the real world.

"What time is it Reizo?"

"It's 3:58 pm."

"They should arrive at any minute now."

Suddenly the gate opens. Jin and Mia are finally back.

"So, you made it guys," said Emily.

"Yeah, it was tough, but we made it," said Jin.

"You two seem taller than when you got in," said Emily.

"Well a year passed so..." said Jin.

"You need a haircut, mom will freak out if she sees you like that."

"You are right, we will pass by a hairdresser on our way home," said Jin.

"So, do you think you are strong enough to win?" asked Reizo.

"I believe so, yes," said Jin.

"Come to think of it, Mia you didn't tell us what your power is," said Reizo.

"I will keep it as a surprise for when the fighting starts," said Mia.

"Why?" said Reizo.

"Don't worry Reizo, I know her power, it is very strong," said Jin.

"If you say so Jin."

"Now we know they will attack tomorrow, but we don't know when or where so the best plan of action I think is to behave normally like nothing is wrong. Of course, we will all be cautious of any suspicious movement," said Jin.

"I agree with you Jin," said Reizo.

"Emily let's go home to rest for tomorrow."

"Ok."

"Before we go, Mia..."

Jin approached Mia and they kissed.

"Be careful," said Jin.

"Don't worry so much I will be fine."

"When did that happen?" said Emily.

"One year alone we came closer. We are together now," said Jin.

"I am happy for you Jin," said Emily.

"See you tomorrow then," said Jin.

"Bye Mia, Reizo!" exclaimed Emily.

"We will see you tomorrow," said Reizo.

"So, Mia, follow me, I will show you your room."

"Right."

After 1 and a half hours, Jin and Emily arrived at their home. They passed by a hairdresser before.

"I am home!" said Jin.

"Welcome, Jin how was your camping trip with Mike?"

"What camp..."

Emily hit Jin in the shoulder.

"Ah right, the camping trip. It was quite good we had a lot of fun."

"It's nice to know you had fun. Did you cut your hair?"

"Yes, I needed a haircut."

"You look very handsome."

"Come on mom."

"It's the truth. Now that I see you, I could swear that you look taller."

"Teenagers grow fast. Listen, mom, I am tired I will do my homework and go to sleep."

"Me too mom."

"Ok kids. Oh, before you go don't you want to eat something?"

"We ate on the road."

"Goodnight then."

A few hours passed and Jin was lying in bed.

Jin thought, Tomorrow is the day I have been preparing for a year I can't lose, or I better say I won't lose. I better sleep now, I must be at 100% tomorrow.

Jin closed his eyes and slept.

The day that Jin and Mia have been preparing for a year has finally come. Will they be able to win?
