《Lord of Glory》Prologue!

Crushed, everything is broken. My body is one big mess, I can feel it. There's a puddle of my own blood and I'm lying in it. I guess this is the end of the line for me.
Somehow I'm still standing, so maybe, just maybe I will make it. I just have to walk, one step at a time. Come on body, you can do this.
Move! It's no use.
Why? Why must it end like this? I'm not ready to die yet. I'm not ready. End, it musn't end. I can make it out, I can still live. I just need.. Something. Somebody. I need help, I need to live.
Everything feels so heavy. My entire body is trying to force me to the ground, to lay down and close my eyes, but I can't. I can't give in, not yet. I can still make it, I just need some rest. I guess I will lay down for a little while, but I will not close my eyes. Do not close my eyes.
It'll be over soon, I can feel it. My end is coming and there's nothing I can do. Fine. I'm too exhausted anyway. I just wish I could've done things differently. But none of that matters now, it'll be over soon. At last.
I'm exhausted, my eyes are heavy and my body is numb. I'm going to take a quick nap, I hope it's just a quick nap. But I really need to close my eyes and rest for a while.
So long my childeren "Ho..caugh..Ho...Ho...."
Where am I.
I feel so cold and isolated.
Ah...That's right I am dead.
Who would have thought that I would die like that.
Now that I think about it, how did I die?
Unless everyone on earth stopped believing in me at the same time there is no way I could die.

Hold on.
Am I not supposed to be dead right now? How come I am able to think?
I am moving, yet I can't feel my own body, how does that work?
Well, let's start by taking control of this thing I am because I can't just keep floating like this.
Since I am able to think like this, it must mean that I am not truly dead and if that's true I would be able to use soul energy.
I released my soul energy 'it worked! That means I am not truly dead yet.' I thought before I used my soul energy to cover whatever I am.
'Oh boy I am an orb?' I thought as I observed myself.
'Let's see my surroundings' I thought and released my soul energy to the surroundings.
'Oh boy' I thought as I observed the surroundings.
I was floating in the middle of space among dozens of other orbs.
We were all moving in a huge circle with 9 huge black doors in the middle
The doors all had huge signs over them, each of the signs were written on different language so I could not understand them but I could read one of them as it spelled 'Earth' my mind started to put piece's together.
'Is this the reincarnation pool? It doesn't look like a pool.' I thought
'Let's try to enter the earth door.' I thought as I used all of my soul energy to change the direction I was going.
~Boom!
I did it and I also pushed away the orbs that were in my way as well.
I watched as my soul headed towards the door in the middle with the earth sign.
'Yes..Yes..Yes...No...Nooo, not that door the one in the middle!' I screamed in head as my course of flight changed because of a orb that was also heading in that direction.

I entered the door right next to it and right after that I was covered with a strange light and I could feel warmth again.
I used my soul energy right after the light was gone.
I looked at my surroundings and found out that I was inside a womb.
'Ow!' I thought as I felt something push me.
'Looks like I am being born.' I thought as I felt the push get stronger.
After a couple of hours had past did I feel the touch of something on my head.
After few more minutes did I finally get out of the womb.
I looked at the people in my surroundings and they all looked pale.
'Yes they are humans' I thought as I looked at them.
"Why is he not opening his eyes or screaming?" The man said in a angry tone as he looked at the woman who held me.
'Oh boy I forgot I was using my soul energy and not my eyes!' I thought as I opened my tiny eyes, when the woman saw this she gave out a sigh of relief before she smiled and looked back at the man "His a healthy boy your majesty, look" the woman said as she handed me over to the man.
The frown on the man's face dissappeared and a huge smile was viable on his face as he looked at me.
While the people around me where talking and jumping with joy I was not happy at all.
First, we have the strange language these people are speaking, I know for sure it's not from earth.
The only reason I can understand them is because I am me, there is no language I don't understand.
My second problem is were I am and these people, normal people can't see it but they are very strong. So strong that the humans from earth would only be bug in front of them. These people have a great insight to their Dao.
My third problem is that I can't sense the Dao of the fireplace. Without it I can't use their profound energy.
My fourth and biggest problem is that I don't have my beard any more. It took me over 2537 years to grow that perfect beard.
"AAAAAAAAAAA!" I started to cry at the thought of having to wait for so long to get my beard.
"Maybe he is hungry?" The woman who held me in her arms said as she showed her left breast and put her nibble in my mouth.
I was startled as I tried to get air but instead sucked on her nibble, I quickly got my mouth out 'Oh she did not just breastfeed me?' I thought as she tried to put her nibble back into my mouth.
I kept moving my head to side 'How dare she try and breastfeed me, I am santa claus, I don't get breastfeed' I thought.

The Last Orellen (An Epic Progression Fantasy)
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by mage families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves. If the most powerful sorcerers in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives. Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it. The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 245Millennial Mage (A Slice of Life, Progression Fantasy)
The world is wild, untamed. Humanity thrives, but only in isolated, well defended cities, ever shrinking as the wilds slowly reclaim all that was taken. The most capable magic users are raised up as Mages to serve mankind, further their cause, and defend them over the course of millennia. Tala is freshly graduated from the magic academy and determined to make her own way in the world. She hopes to pay off her massive debts, quickly, but still plans on living each and every day to the fullest. Too bad the Academy left some glaring holes in her practical education. Loath to let that slow her down, and with no patience for a standard, low-paid apprenticeship (intended to fill many of those knowledge gaps), Tala strives to learn and improve as rapidly as she can on her own. Her unorthodox methods for preserving her own life allow her to take greater risks in search of profit and advancement, much to the surprise of those around her. I do hope you enjoy this tale, but let me know what you think either way! Critique, both positive and negative, is welcome. 8 454The Solipsist
Every novel needs a main character, and in this case, it's a young man named Jacob Bates. Jacob is your average guy who likes books, television, and long walks on the beach. One day, Jacob was diagnosed with a condition that made his body frail and weak. This drove Jacob to focus solely on his studies, ending up becoming a fairly capable guy, despite his condition. The road ahead was looking great! That's when a little scene occurred between Jacob's girlfriend and one of his male classmates. Jacob's mood was a little lower than dirt from thereon. His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. One day, while Jacob was mopping the cold floors of the grocery store he worked in, a strange blue screen appeared in front of him, notifying him that the world was going through a change. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
