Cretus was called by an unknown voice from the other end of the cave, and he was very tempted to go. The only problem was that he did not know where he would be going and he did not want to leave Kalista alone after the shock she had when she saw her farm on fire. He decided to ignore those voices and take care of Kalista, however, it kept coming back.
Mysterious voice: Cretus, you are the chosen one, let my voice guide you to glory.
Cretus: Leave me alone!
Kalista who regained full capacity of her senses started to realize that Cretus was very disturbed, but she could not hear the voice, so she was wondering in vain.
Kalista: Cretus, are you ok?
Cretus: Do you not hear the voice, it keeps repeating in my mind non-stop. It won't get out of my head!
Kalista: Where is it coming from?
Cretus: *points to the other end of the cave*
Kalista: Well, the only way to find out where the voice comes from is to check out what is going towards the voice.
Cretus: Are you sure?
Kalista: *nodds*
Cretus and Kalista stood up and went to the cave. They were moving slowly but surely guided by the voice Cretus was hearing. At one point, they saw a little tinkle of light about 100 meters away. It was as if there was a lamp hung on a staff.
Kalista: There is someone there!
Cretus: We should probably head back to the cave entrance.
Kalista: No! we came here for a purpose, so we are going towards that man. I would put my hand to cut that he was the one sending you those messages. He looks like a magician.
Cretus: Well if he is a magician, there are even more reasons not to approach him. Magicians are known to eat human flesh! So if he was the one calling me, it was quite obvious to eat me.
When they were speaking, before they knew it, the man was right in front of them, but this time, the lamp was off. Kalista and Cretus could not help but shake in front of him. He was wearing a grey coat with a cape on and a wooden staff with a lamp hung on it.

Kalista: Hello there great magician we do not mean an-
Cretus: *whispers* What are you doing? We are supposed to be running not talking to him.
Kalista: Don't be stupid, we can't outrun a magician plus, even if we run out of the cave, we will still have londals running after us.
Cretus: I prefer being chased by people who don't have brains rather than a person who has magical powers as great as a God's!
Kalista: Don't be such a wuss, you can't just run every time you encounter a problem, you've got to face it!
Cretus was left speechless after such a well-placed counterattack.
Magician: *starts laughing* You found a great companion Cretus!
Cretus: wait I know that voice, is it you old man?
Magician: Yes indeed, it is me.
Cretus: How is it that you are still alive, and what are you doing in a dark cave in the middle of nowhere. Is it just a coincidence l I keep finding you in strange places or is it more than a coincidence!
Magician: You still ask a lot of questions Cretus, but don't worry, this time, I will answer all the questions you want. So first, let us go back to the past, the day Armdal created his sons...
The magician, then lifted his staff and they suddenly were transported to a room where they could see a shining old man on a throne.
Magician: This is Armdal, creator of everything. That day one year had passed since he created the world as we know it and his sons.
Cretus tried to touch Armdal just to realize that they could not see or touch us. Martris later entered the room and looked quite furious.
Martris: Father! The others keep mocking me and taking away all my possessions! I don't understand, I am as strong as them, I have as much magical power as them, so why do I still feel they are superior to me?
Armdal: That my son, is something you must discover alone so you can move on easier. Things get clearer when you discover them by yourself rather than hearing them from another individual.

Martris who did not understand anything barged out of the room. The magician lifted his staff once again and teleported them to a place that looked like a parliament made for the gods. Once again, Armdal was at the top at the very end of the parliament on a throne. Suddenly, about ten of his sons barged in and Martris looked like the leader of all of them.
Martris: Father, from today on, we are no longer your sons, consider us nothing to you anymore, we seek conquest, however, we will never be able to accomplish our goals if we always have to follow you peace rules!
Armdal: Very well, do whatever you want, just remember one thing, if you come back here, you will die.
After Armdal finished speaking, the images from the past disappeared and they stayed in total dark.
Magician: Martris inspired other gods to rebel against Armdal, and his weakness was a betrayal. Every time he was betrayed, he would lose more of his power. Once all his surroundings betrayed him, he knew he did not have long to live.
Kalista: Everyone knows that, when he died, he sent his power to a mysterious place on earth in hope that one of the humans with a pure heart would find it.
Magician: That is not quite correct my dear. He did want someone to wield his power after him, but he gave the mission to a magician named Merlin to find the perfect human. It finds I am the magician, Armdal gave the mission to, and I believe I have completed it.
Cretus: You have found someone who can wield his power?
Merlin: Yes Cretus, it is you...
Cretus: I can't, I am not strong enough for that.
Merlin: you are stronger than you think Cretus. You had brilliant ideas to escape the londals when you were surrounded, you nearly managed to escape Meralin which is one of the most guarded villages, and you survived weeks without food. You are the chosen one Cretus!
Cretus: *hesitates* I don't know old man...
Kalista: *holds Cretus' hand and smiles* Don't worry, everything will be ok.
Cretus: *smiles at Kalista* Alright Merlin, I accept
Merlin: I am glad you have made your decision, however, I would like to give you a final warning, it is not because I chose you that you will succeed in your mission, this is why if you happen to be on the verge of death, I need you to give your power to someone you trust strongly.
Cretus: Whatever old man, let's finish with this.
Merlin then pronounced a magical spell that illuminated the cave and a star appeared. Merlin transferred that star into Cretus' body and due to that, the ground started shaking and the whole cave collapsed. However, Merlin put a barrier to prevent any rocks from falling on them. On the other side, when Cretus opened his eyes, they were shiny and had the color of the sun.
Due to those series of events, the power of Armdal was felt around the world. All Gods felt the powerful aura of their father and knew that his power was found.
Martris: *worried* It can't be possible, someone found it? Someone found father's power!
Meanwhile, the londals ran to where everything started, and when they saw Cretus and felt his aura, they started trembling.
londal 1: It can't be! How can a filthy peasant like you have so much power? It is impossible, it is almost like he wields the POWER OF A GOD!

Dungeon of the Dead [hiatus]

The fallen (?) hero and Aži Dahāka's soul fragment
I have to apologize.A certain real life problem that I thought I got rid of has caught up to me once again.I tried to continue writing, but my mind was not in the right track to do so and thus, as some people had said, the quality of the latest 2 chapters had turned from the usual "bad" to "worst". So, I reluctantly have to say that I will be away until I can sort things out.I can't say when, but I do intend to return to writing. I might lurk around to read other people's works though. I will be turning my attention to stories with "tragedy" and "despair". The five of us were summoned to this world from our clubroom two years ago to be made as heroes.Shouldn't forceful summoning like that be counted as kidnapping?Well, we chose to go with the heroes route. After harsh training and battles, not to mention all the killings, we finally defeated the demon lord. However, all those achievements literally became nothing, it wasn't just forgotten, it was erased to be totally nothing as even the written records were somehow being disposed of. I was too naive. Who would have thought that the side we have been fighting alongside with, the side we were fighting for, was the one to bring our demise? After I had to see everyone else turn into nothingness, somehow... I alone survived. Note: I will attempt to fix the grammar problem with the help of lieutenant colonel fletterman. This may delay the release of future chapter. Chapter 1 is fixed. Chapter 2 is fixed.
