In the final stretch before the Port gate location where they enter the ball room to the city, Rain and Elanee now Soden and Kityana are talking of what to do, they are taken in a carriage to the location that is being driven by Artanis cloaked as a driver, arriving at the sight Rain gets out first and looking around as if to eye everyone up he extends his arm into the carriage to take mistress Kityana’s hand, watching her get out he notices a dagger blade tucked away high up the leg of her thigh, and while man from all around stop in mid-sentence for a moment to gaze on her beauty Rain leans toward her ear and whispers

“What is with the blade Kityana?”

“A women can’t be too careful, and you might not be around me all the time” She replies and they nod to Artanis to drive away

“Trust me I’ll never let you out of my sight” Rain says to her and smiling she kisses his cheek and then pinches his side

“Ouch what’s was that for” Rain cries

“For looking up my dress” Elanee snapped

“I just glanced” Rain said lightly

“It was concealed very well and takes way more than a glance to be noticed, but I’ll hold it as a complement for now” she finishes and then gasps “Ewe what the hell is that thing” she asks pointing to a floating apparition of skin and many eyes connected by stems of nerves to a central body where one big eye is seated above a huge mouth. Slime from its skin and eyes ooze down below it and covers the ground and the eyes themselves seem to emitting their own energy each one unique from the others. It stands guard in front of the archway with two Drow guards on either side of it; it hovers there waiting for a sign to move.

“It’s called an eye tyrant” Rain says “its eyes are all different and each one casts a different spell making them very deadly and way out of our league”

“So how does one die” Elanee inquires

“Your traditional hack and slash method to the body when you can get close to it” Rain explains and nodding her head and she then leans on his body and poses to the other Drow men teasing them a little, moving her back up straight Rain cautions

“You know we are supposed to be at a respectable relationship stage remember” and sliding her finger down the front of his chest she whispers “I’m just playing the part Rain, and don’t worry I’ll try to keep my hands to myself” she finishes with a little eye gesture and a smirk, then stands by Rain until they are allowed through the gates.

The guests are finally allowed into the city and Soden and Kityana are let in almost last, getting screened by a true seeing spell from the eye tyrant just before entering they stand still hoping the magic of the dragon is more potent than that of the creatures, with success they are granted a clear pass in. They enter the hall filled with guests and Elanee grips Rain’s hand tightly going down the steps to the main area, there are Drow all around already mingling and having drinks and Rain looks to his fake wife raising her hand he pats it lightly

“You ok Kityana” Rain says “Just be calm and act as we have rehearsed and we’ll get through this quick and easy, and like I said before I won’t let you leave my sight” Rain tells her to go get some drinks and watching her leave he then throws his sight around for guards that are patrolling the ball hall, moving up to one Rain strikes up a conversation with him about the city here and how it came to be. Seeing Elanee coming up to his side with a drink, Rain introduces her to the guard leader, lightly touching the leader Elanee tries to get into his mind for a quick glance at any information about where their friends are being held, but getting a vision of the leader having some sensual fun with two maidens at his quarters before the ball, Elanee turns her head with a sickly notion coming to her face followed by disgusted, Rain excuses himself from the conversation wishing a word with his wife alone.

“He knows nothing about their location or how to handle a women properly either” Elanee says about to drown the ill sight from a sip of her drink when Rain pauses her hand

“This is Drowish wine Kityana and Drow are known for being able to handle strengthened alcohol…it’s pretty harsh stuff” Rain advises her

“I can handle my drinking Soden” says Elanee and as the first bit of liquid enters her mouth, she halts to motion. Her eyes grow big as her mouth begins to burn and slowly swallowing hard, the sensation lessened with the adding of coughing to clear her throat. Rain laughs out loud to drown out her coughing spell and when she was done he takes her glass

“Well that was graceful of you” Rain stares to her

“That stuff is potent, not to mention the burning all the way down” she gasps wiping some of the drink from the corner of her mouth

“Let’s just stick to mingling with the folk and-

“Who is that” Elanee interrupts with Rain looking behind him to see a figure at the edge of the ball room leaning against the wall with a mistress at his side similar to his own look staring at him intensely, dressed high end warrior like wearing a black cape with gold trim around the border of it.

“I don’t know, but he looks like he knows me” Rain said with a worried look

“And not in a good way either” Elanee adds

“Well let’s watch for him and keep up the charade for now, we’ll deal with him later if we have to” Rain encourages and leads Elanee over to another group role playing up the same action as to the guard. Standing close by them again she gets a vision of the guard and a couple more slaughtering some thieves in a old run down shack, almost tasting the blood she quickly lets go and shakes her head lightly toward Rain giving him a sign of another busted lead. Rain, stuck to deep combat asks Kityana to refill his drink and seeing Rain unable to be pried away without looking wary obliges to keep up face.

Going up to the drink table and looking around Elanee spots a guard looking at her intently and walking by him to get to Rain, she quickly touches him to reveal a thought of the guard and her in a bed naked having sex, losing her balance she clings to his arm for support and holding her for a second longer he smiles “You know later if you’re bored with this ball I have a thought” he suggests with a grin.

“And if your smart you’ll keep that thought in your head, cause if my husband Soden finds out about it your lose it guaranteed” and pulls away, “PIG!” she harps and moves quickly back to Rain putting the wrap across her chest covering up. Seeing Rain who was just able to pry away from the group does she walk over to his side.

“Soden, Hunny, I hate this job, I’m seeing way more than I want to and the guard in the corner has some sick thoughts in that skull of his” Elanee complains and suddenly hearing a horn signaling the entrance of the Matriarch herself Sophie then enters with a speech welcoming everyone to the ball and an introductory greeting about why the Drow families should congregate here.

“Wow that’s the Matriarch, not bad” says Rain and getting hit in the side swiftly by Elanee he regains his focus on what they’re doing, and motions to Elanee to keep an eye on the closest guard to Sophie, suggesting that he might be the best one to read for the info they seek.

The speech goes on for about an hour and after Rain sees the gold caped Drow talking to a Stag Demon; a blue skinned human with gold pants and matching vest made of silk whose sole purpose is to determine a couple’s aura to see if they’re pure. If he determines that they are like a married couple all is well, but found to be failing the task, both will be killed. The Stag demon hears what the caped Drow has to say and motions for a servant of his to tell Rain to get his wife a drink.

“Excuse me Lord Soden is it” asks the servant

“Yes, and you are “says Rain

“Oh just a humble servant of the mighty Demetrious the Arcane” he replies and then the servant points to where the Arcane is standing “I was here to deliver a offering to you and your wife inviting out a coupling taste to a new brew of blood wine, would the lady wish a taste” and Elanee nods.

“She does, does she” Rain answers knowing full well she won’t drink anything more tonight, he then suspects he is being challenge about his marriage so accepts the offer and proceeds to grab Elanee a drink.

He moves to her location and then with a motion of his hand the Arcane commands the first challenge to take place, another male Drow takes a drink to Elanee ahead of Rain and offers it to her while making conversation. Rain seeing this then pauses trying to figure out the test, making a decision is his mind he then proceeds to her and interrupts their conversation

“Here you are dear” Rain says handing to her the drink in his hands and looking at the other drink he then says “Offering my wife a drink, a little inappropriate don’t you think”

“Well lord Soden I saw she was by herself and with no drink in hand so I thought-

“Ah you see therein lies your mistake, and if you want to keep thinking with that head of yours” looking to his crotch “Or the other one, I’m not too sure which one is in control at the moment, but I do know that to keep them both you should leave my presence and hers…Now!” Rain’s ends with a harsh tone and with his head motions him to get lost. Elanee appropriately thanks Rain and take his drink offer putting the other one down. The Drow then comes back with a wounded pride to the Arcane

“He did well my lord but not convincing enough for a married couple” informs the Drow

“Then we’ll have move to the next phase” Demetrious says and nods his head to start some dance music at a quick pace motion. A couple approaches Rain and Elanee and asks if they will be their double partners for the dance and knowing that they were still being tested Rain obliged, walking up to the dance floor Rain tells Elanee in her ear that they are being called on their bluff as a couple, and getting into position to dance which starts off as a slow dance with each other Elanee goes into Rain’s arms. She asks if he knows how to really dance, saying that anyone can move their feet but this dance was going to a tango like aggressive one.

“Umm I might have exaggerated to you before then when I said I can dance, not like that” Rain finished and started to get worried

“Hey, hey calm down, I can teach you ok” and closing her eyes half enjoying the embracing moment in his arms she taps into his mind, it was suddenly flooded with knowledge of steps, turns, spins and movement patterns. Rain never imagined she held so much skill and mastery to the art of dance, Elanee’s power infused to his mind like the feeling that he had known it all since his birth.

“Wow I didn’t know you knew to dance to Drow songs” he said

”They’re all pretty much the same just with slight differences, don’t worry I’ll watch for them and add them in your head when I see them” Elanee said smiling and nodding to her slightly he then waits for the time the song picks up, they switch partners a couple of times and spinning the wives around and adding some dips in between they show off their foot work and the twin couples almost own the floor for the song’s duration. Finishing with a final dip, Rain is held in a pose to stare at Elanee’s breasts during the applauses of a great entertaining performance. “Don’t get any idea’s” echoed Elanee’s voice to Rain’s mind.

Applauding himself and coming over offering Elanee a fan to cool the blood rush given to her, Demetrious introduces himself as the entertaining host of the evening with clearly a French accented voice.

“I must say quite a stirring performance; I have to admit I haven’t seen such a dance in years, you moved so gracefully as a couple but if you’re married is still to be determined. You see I have been testing you off and on the side, and where you might have been successful in first respecting Kityana as a women not a materialistic object Soden, the dance was a sure clincher for me to see your desire, but nothing proves more assuring to me to know about a couple’s relationship than a kiss” Demetrious concluded

“Ok” Rain said “Thanks” and going to talk with Elanee for a second he was rudely interrupted by a violent clearing of the Arcane’s throat

“No good sir, I would like you to kiss her for me” The Arcane stated

And laughing for a second and not seeing an expression change on the Arcane face, Rain’s face drained of color.

“I’m sorry, Right now” Rain asked

“Is that a problem” Demetrious questioned

“Well um I’m just not a public affections kind of Lord that’s all” Rain said growing a little uncomfortable and Elanee turned her head to cover her mouth from getting a huge grin to her face.

“Now, now Soden…husband, we don’t want to anger the man he’s just doing a job; now kiss me” Elanee said turning again emotionless

“Ok then” Rain said and moving to her face he gives her a quick kiss to the lips, he backs away and she lowers her head but seeing the shadows of the guard being instructed to take arms. Elanee, knowing that Rain failed the test grows a deep scowl to her face and swiftly slaps Rain’s face stopping the crowds conversing around them.

“You call that a kiss!!” Elanee belted “Now I know you have been away on missions massacring villages over the years, finding comfort in the arms of all those tavern wenches must have made you soft if you think a kiss like that will stand with me” Elanee finished turning around and folding her arms

And looking at the arcane with his unwavering face of not being convinced Rain turns back to Elanee “I’m sorry Kityana” Rain said and having so many thoughts running through his head of disbelief of what he was about to do he takes her arm spinning her to his face and locking to her lips kisses her for seconds on end, dropping the fan she had and lifting her back leg she falls limp in his arms. Releasing the kiss she slowly opens her eyes smiling contently while glowing a bit with satisfaction.

“Awe there we go now that’s what I was looking for, for the kiss of love is when the women will open her heart to your love exposing all of life, and the senses run wild with passion” he continued “very good and well done, I see that I’m wasting my time here” the Arcane adds and leaves the area to go talk with the gold caped Drow who held a most baffled look to his face.

“I’m sorry Boden but they are well enough to me to being a married couple” the Arcane says to him and walks away

Boden gains a sinister look to his face and says to himself “I’m sure he is but that’s not my brother out there, he can’t dance for one and I just killed him days ago for another” looking to Rain and Elanee again he adds “I’m going to find out who those two are and why they’re here” and he then disappears into the crowd

Elanee picks up the fan and fans herself again, “nice job” she said to him shaking her head with the image still burned in her mind and the feeling racing in her blood.

“Well it needed to be convincing right” said Rain feeling stuffy in his vest downing a whole glass of blood wine in his hand, gaining his focus Rain looks around again for soldiers.

He suddenly taps Elanee on the shoulder and says to her “Hey I think I know who knows what we’re looking for” and staring at a captain standing a few feet from the Matriarch Rain recognizes a metallic glove with blades on the wrist of it from Aries’ description Cloud told him.

“Now this is want I need you to do” and whispers to Elanee a plan.

Down in the cell block beneath the city lights of the ball Dawn and Cloud sit, huddled together trying to keep what strength they have left from the agonizing tribute of starvation, they hear a deep voice outside the room and seeing the door open to their cell room the Drow guards then back away from the opening. In emerges Colossus towering over their half awakened state and gazing upon him gave Dawn a terrifying chill running down her spine, she shakes awake Cloud silently and focusing to the towering black bull Cloud’s eyes widen like being run through with a huge sword.

“It’s Colossus” Cloud stutters from his lips and moves in front of his sister

Colossus looks upon them from a distance and laughs “Finally!, I have to admit you’re not what I expected but I’ll take what I can get” and reaching down to grips Clouds neck he is meet by a unique situation, the necklaces around Dawn and Clouds necks begin to glow a bright white color and form a bubble shield around each of the children, acting as a force field to Colossus’s hand. Trying to push it through Colossus is met with untimely resistance and effortlessly being repelled he stops with a huge blank look upon his face.

“Apparently your mother had foreseen such an event possible and put in place a contingency plan to protect you, but I have a backup plan of my own” Colossus says grinning to them and summons to his hands the dark blade he had fashioned together. Aiming it to Clouds heart he then thrusts it against the shield and forcing it through a bit the blade comes to a stop before hitting Cloud.

Holding it in place Colossus takes a breath and pushes harder, bulging out his massive muscles his hands start to shake with not budging the blade any farther

“AHHHH!” He shouted gathering some adrenaline to go on his side and giving it one final thrust with all his might he then takes a breather lowering the blade “What the hell is this magic?” he says out loud

“The kind I love right now” Cloud adds and growing impatient Colossus backs up and launches a bolt of dark energy at the children, the shield reflects the bolt and getting out of the way of his own demise the bolt hits and kills the two Drow guards behind him outside the doorway

“Damn it all!!” he snarls and thinks for a second while unaware of the Matriarch’s entry to the room holding a most angered look on her face.

“What the hell are you DOING? You killed my guards”

“Not my fault they have a slow reaction time, you trained them” Colossus spoke back holding sight only upon the children.

“And the reason you killed the ones guarding the closest gate to you getting here was???”

“I was getting impatient with waiting on your damn progress, so I decided to take an initiative on the matter myself”

“Let me get one thing straight here Colossus; you don’t tell me what to do in my own city” Sophie shouted getting closer to him she starts to melt off his skin

“Ahh you damn bitch stay away from me” Colossus said backing up

“You will get your prize when I get mine but only when I get mine first” and with her talking Colossus moves to the door way “Now do me a great favor and GET OUT!!!” finishing her statement she erupts a mind ball from her head going through the air hitting Colossus, trying to block it Colossus is tossed effortlessly in the air slamming hard into a crystal pillar smashing it, coming down hard to the ground Colossus sees huge chunks of crystal about to split open his skull and shimmering away quickly avoiding them hitting him and slamming into the ground. Furious with anger Sophie calls for six guards to come to her and with two of them she gets the dead Drow carried out and leaves the other four guarding the cell. Sophie looks to the children that for the moment hold almost a thankful gaze.

“Don’t think I did this for you…your time will come but at my choosing, and never will it be so quick of a death” Sophie ends and then departs to go back to her hosting.

“Cloud are you ok” Dawn says after everything is calmed down

“Yeah I think so, I not too sure what happened just now” Cloud said

“Mother must have made it so Colossus can’t attack us directly on his own” Dawn suggests and then grew some tears to her eyes with a strike of fear on her face “My god he is so much worse than from what you guys told to me” and holding Cloud tight she started to shake a bit.

“Hey it’s ok Dawn he’s gone now and Rain and I would never let him touch you ever, you have my word” he comforted her “But it looks like Colossus and the Matriarch don’t see eye to eye and with the show of power we just saw from Sophie, I think were protected at least until she get what she wants”

“And what is that” Dawn asked

“I don’t know yet, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough, and hopefully we can do something more than what we have been to help stop it all” Cloud finishes

The Matriarch then goes to the room where Alisianna is hanging and unconscious, skin ripped from her body in two dozen places as well as more only half ripped and hanging on her face and torso.

“She lasted about two hours my lady before collapsing out of this world from the pain” the Reaper looking Drow said

“Kind of pathetic for a powerful druid that’s half Drow blood….oh well, have her dressed in slave robes and brought to the ball room, it’s time this nature bitch made me some value in return for the grief” and walks out.

“Shall I clean her up too Matriarch?” the hooded Drow offered

“Nonsense she has just been steam cleaned, that’s good enough for them” and laughing she continued out

Arriving back to the ballroom Sophie then announced that there would be a slave market for all the guests that came, shortly after ten slaves came out and were displayed for show and sale.

“What is happening Soden” asked Elanee

“There is going to be a slave sale” replied Rain

“I know that, what is it?”

“Simple if there is a slave that we like we bit for it by giving up a valuable item for a trade, the one who has the most valuable item in the crowd starts and picks the one he or she wants” Rain explains. The slaves are brought out and shortly after that while drow are looking through them an eleventh slave comes out for show, the guards brush by Rain and Elanee and whipping back the hood on Alisianna’s cloak she stay’s silent and still. Elanee then tugs on Rain’s cape and Rain nods that he sees her.

“We have to free her” Elanee says

“SHHH!, not so loud if they hear that we show sympathy for the slave we’ll be next on the block, we’ll have to buy her from here” says Rain

“And with what I left all my valuables at home Soden” Elanee snaps whispering

“Something that none of these drow have and will let us pick first…..Your mage boots” Rain said

“WHAT!!” Elanee barked out raising her voice a little more

“Shhh!, it’s the only way to guarantee us getting her is by picking first and those boots will give us the leverage we need”

“Well I don’t exactly have them on me Soden...Remember”

“You don’t need them I can recall them to your hands” Rain stated

“I thought the recall spell needs an item that you have studied for over a week, you’ve seen them once” Elanee inquired

“Don’t mind the details besides I’m a quick study of detail I can do it” Rain says and closing his eyes he concentrates on an image of the boots in his mind and poof! They appear in Elanee’s hands, the man then comes around taking their bidding item and takes down their names and item for bidding.

“Soden, item is Mage boots” Rain said

“What style?” the Drow asked and gulping his throat Rain said “Celestial”

“The highest grade of boot there is and in her hands, may I warn you lord Soden that the penalty for falsifying a clam is death, so you’d better not be kidding” he cautions

“Does it look like I’m kidding you insufferable ingrate for a shopkeeper, now get out of my face” and seeing the serious look stared upon him the Drow quickly moves on.

“Sometimes I think your enjoying this acting thing too much Soden” Elanee says with a worried look.

“It has to be real, darling” Rain replies and tallying the total Elanee is shocked hearing from the Matriarch that Rain is allowed to pick first, Elanee tosses her look to Rain who only puts one of pride back at her and pointing to Alisianna Rain shouts.

“There that one, yes the one fresh of the torture table” and bringing her over to them for assurance Rain nods and is told that she’ll be taken to their guest quarters and Rain is given a key for the room.

Rain and Elanee stay for a little longer until the slave sale is over and then head to the room and a relatively quick pace. Opening the door to the room they see Alisianna bolts to a corner curling to a ball shaking with fear. Running to her side Elanee says to her “Alisianna it’s ok it’s me Elanee, that’s Rain were in Drow form to get in here and take you….home” she finished as she lifted her hood on the slave robes to see the scaring and peeled flesh “MY GOD, what did they do to you baby” Elanee said crying to her face and grabbing her she squeezed her with a loving hug and told her everything will be fine and they’ll get her better. A sheer look of pity went to Alisianna from Rain’s face and quickly shaking his head from the sight he asked Elanee which way to the port gate she saw when she touched the Captain.

“Down the hall and to the left, second door on your right” Elanee instructed Rain only holding sight to the shattered druid.

“I’ll see what we need to go through to get out from here” ended Rain leaving

“Rain” she says before he shuts the door “Hurry back” she smiles to him

“I’ll knock three times Elanee ok twice first then a pause before the last one, do not let anyone else in here” Rain explained and nodding her head he then took off.

A few moments later Elanee hears the knock combination at the door, wondering to herself that it hasn’t been that long since he left maybe something is wrong, she answers and to her surprise she sees Boden who grips her at the neck as he enters the room. Alisianna tries to intervene but with being so weak she is tossed aside and hitting the wall is knocked out.

“So you are the slut that is with my brother tonight, I find that so difficult to believe due to the fact that I killed him three days ago before the Blood Harvest” and holding up a necklace he shoves it in her face “You see this, it was around his neck during the time that I killed him and it held some personal value to us since we each got one from our father, I guess the person who masked you guys up didn’t know that, what a pity” and violently he throws her stumbling across the room and onto the bed.

“We’re not here as your brother and his wife on purpose we just needed the identities to get in and rescue our friends” pleaded Elanee holding her throat.

“Your business does matter to me, but my brother died because he stole my wife from me” Boden stated coming closer.

“Wives don’t leave when the grounds are good, you obviously weren’t giving her what she needed, and seeing this reaction I know why she left” Elanee snapped

“No matter he got to have my wife so it’s only fair I get to have his in bed too” Boden finishes and getting to the bed Elanee tries to get up and away. Struggling and squirming a bunch he over powers her and pins her to the bed cot by sitting on her middle torso and holding her arms over her head.

Tearing her dress down between the breasts he goes for a knife from his belt, Elanee stops struggling, closes her eyes and steals his knowledge of combat. Finding a move he knows to free herself she then curves her legs back and slides her feet under his neck, tensing her legs she tries to turn his neck in an attempt to break it. Boden then releases her hands to stop her feet. Elanee getting free acts quickly, grabbing the concealed dagger from her thigh and with a swift motion thrusts it into his neck side. Dripping blood all down the front of her Boden chokes for seconds on his blood until finally falling dead on top of her; using all her weight she tries to move him and getting herself out from under him she then goes to see Alisianna. Checking her for injuries she hugs her and waiting a while with her she then hears a familiar knock at the door again, grabbing the sword from Boden’s belt she answers it and whoever is there is greeted at sword point.

“Whoa Elanee it’s me” Rain gasps and looking at Boden’s dead body lying on the bed face down he asks what the hell happened. Elanee grabs Rain tight and hugs him as if not seen him for a long time and after a brief explanation Rain then picked up Alisianna into his arms “You’ve been through enough not to walk this anymore I think eh?” Rain said smiling and telling Elanee that the guards are not many they should be able to overpower them they move to the port gate.

Knocking out the guards by the doorway Elanee and Rain proceed through the prison block with virtually no resistance due to no one ever escaping before. Elanee goes up to the doors arch and touching each one she then throws her eyes into the rooms searching for their comrades, by them being placed on the walls inside each room and looking like through her own she looks for them. Finding first the weapons storage Rains goes in locating their weapons, loads up and passing them to Elanee Rain again takes up Alisianna to continue.

The next room is a bust, and so is the next one, carrying on another one had potions in it. Rain then goes in and finding potions of full recovery for the weak grabs some. Inside the cell where Dawn and Cloud lay the two heard some ruckus outside their door and having a couple of thuds being felt against the door, eyes then appeared on the wall,

“They’re in here Rain” Elanee sparks and opening the door Elanee enters, looking confused at not knowing who they were Elanee then leans down to un cuff Cloud’s bindings, telling them of their plan Cloud looks down at Elanee leaning over and to her exposed outfit pushing out her breasts when he’s hit in the shoulder by Dawn.

“Not now Cloud” she says shaking her head seeing Rain enter with Alisianna in his arms. Cloud is giving a potion and upon drinking it feels at full strength.

“Rain, is that you, wow you look good” said Dawn drinking her own potion and handing them their weapons they look at Alisianna

“I tried to give her potion but she won’t drink it, she’s too assumed from what happened” Rain explains and nodding his head Cloud takes the burden of her weight from his arms and into his own, stroking her forehead Cloud kisses it and then whispers to her words of comfort. Elanee explains that from the vision she got from the Captain there is a back way to the ball room that should be empty.

“Wait where’s Cynn” asked Dawn

“She must still be in a chamber we haven’t checked yet” Elanee added

“I’ll find her” Cloud spoke up,

“No, I’ll do it” Rain hyped back in argument

“Rain I feel fine, I’m faster with a blade than you are at casting” Cloud reasoned but Rain shook his head “She’s immune to them Cloud”

“Same with your spells Rain don’t fight me on this” Cloud battered back belting to his waist his blade Rain gave him, Lashing up his buckle Cloud held a distressing look recalling what Sophie did to Colossus, “You can’t take her on Rain”

“I don’t want to, I’ll find Cynn and teleport both of us from their…I’ll be fine brother…they need you more than I can give them” Rain said back gesturing to the girls who all held looks of exhaustion. Cloud looks to Rain hard “Rain your family needs you here”

“And our clan needs it’s leader Cloud, we’ll be at the gate way out…I promise…with or without Cynn I’ll be there but I need to try” Elanee’s eyes brighten from Rain’s heroism as Cloud shakes with reluctance from his head, “You better be there” Cloud ended with Rain nodding as Cloud went off with the girls.

Rain checking the last two cells to the level finds Cynn in the last one, opening the door he is meet by a gruesome sight of her lashed up back and dried blood all around, hanging by shackles and barely alive.

“My god what has she done to you Cynn” Rain angrily said and using his mage sword he builds up strength to cut the chain’s holding her to the wall, collapsing from the wall into his arms Rain feeds her the potion and her eyes become widened with life again.

Rain gives her a quick over view of what has transpired since her abduction and saying that it’s time to leave Cynn has a last pit stop to make first, telling Rain along the way to Sophie’s personal quarters that she knows this city pretty well herself, she takes Rain on the path of least resistance to Sophie’s quarters, they then hear an alarm sound as they enter the room and running to the wall behind Sophie’s bed Cynn says some words in Drowish to revel a secret compartment. Opening a box inside lies a necklace made of obsidian stone and gold linking chains, she puts it on and turns around to see Sophie at the doorway.

“I should’ve killed you as soon as I saw you, you ungrateful bitch” Sophie spat to her and building up some energy in her mind Cynn perks to Rain to get behind her, when the mind blast was released from Sophie it hit Cynn but having the amulet glowing the blast was reflected back striking Sophie in the torso. Smashing through a solid oak table and crashing to the ground, Cynn then came to her side and with a dagger held it to her throat.

“Do it Cynn” Rain edged her on and wanting such gratified happiness from it Cynn backed up and said to her “I’m not going to become you, I don’t kill my own blood” and tossing away the dagger, she then spotted some boots on her belt and quickly snatches them from the clasps “But I don’t mind borrowing from you” Cynn smiles and tossed the boots to Rain, running together they left the room and headed toward the ball room.

“There is going to be guards everywhere” said Rain still hearing the alarm

“Yeah but the guards on the inner walls are always the newly trained ones, the high skilled ones are guarding outer doorways to keep people out from here” Cynn explains while running and dodging the arrows being fired at them, meeting up with the others they continue dodging missiles of arrows and spells quick paced as fast as they can jumping one by one through the gate vanishing away.

To the other side before the escaped occurred Straud, Maylor and Artanis along with a strike force of Drow warriors fight the gate guards to clears the path outside. Maylor displays an incredible amount of power helping greatly to their cause, rarely shown for he isn’t a battle cleric by trade. Finishing off the last Drow which was the cleric on the gate guard, Maylor grips an amulet from his neck and closing his eyes the rest witness the ground literally open up and a huge grim looking demonical hand reaches up beneath the evil cleric gripping him tightly drawing him into the ground closing up behind it.

“Whoa” says Artanis looking to Maylor

“Talisman of pure good” Maylor says dangling the amulet “It does that to evil clerics”

“Good to know” Artanis replied with a frightful look upon his face

The sight of all that needed to be rescued was relief to Strauds heart but he gets over it quickly when Cynn tells them they are right behind them wanting to come through the gate, running up to it Straud then tells Cloud to get in position on the other side of the gate with his sword and together simultaneously they hit both sides of the archway destroying it.

Taking some time to comfort one another they then head back to the enclave.
