Return to Hostility
The news of my return had slowly spread among the citizens. As a result less and less people could be seen wondering down the streets. I walked into my office only to be greeted by a ridiculously high piles of papers. Stacks and stacks of papers.... I frowned in displeasure. [ How did they even get this high? ] I sat down at my desk and pulled out my mike. It was a good time to make an announcement.
"Good day Citizens of Shadow Wood. As you may have noticed I had been gone for the last week on a little vacation. I had hoped that everyone would have behaved while I was gone but no such thing happened. Instead you decided to create havoc. Lets start with the teasing of the baby Kraken. Those of you that have done this have disregarded the rules for pranks in this town. All pranks must go through the Prank Association. This rule was put into place to prevent kidnappings and deaths from happening. If you do not first go to the Prank Association and decide to do it anyway you are liable for whatever happens to you and the Council can not help you. Please keep this in mind the next time you wish to prank or tease someone.
After coming back I was informed of the destruction of the Human residential area. While there I noticed some derogatory graffiti on the walls. Not only was it extremely rude and distasteful some of it was done in a way that it is impossible to paint over it. This proved that it was not just kids writing on the walls but also adults. We the Citizens of Shadow Wood are meant to welcome the Humans into our town not shame them. As such the Humans will be moved to a new area near the coven and those that gratified the previous area will be subjected to punishment. And don't worry we will find out exactly who was involved. Look forward to it.
Moving on some of you have noticed an underground city visible from the hole outside the Town Hall. This is an illusion. This City that you see does not really exist. In fact the hole itself does not exist. This illusion was created from a distortion in the air. The distortion should be fixed by tomorrow morning. Before then please avoid the area as you could become lost and disoriented by this distortion. You may hear, see, and fell different things that make the city seem real but remember that it is all and illusion. " Lisa came in and handed me a piece of paper. "On that note I would like to say that it is good to be back and I will be sure to bring the town back to its former state.
Your local leader,
Kaz"
I put the mike down and turned to Lisa. "A meeting now?"

"Yes, as soon as the Council members heard your voice on the radio the called a meeting. I'm sure that they would all like to know were you have been for the last week."
"I see. I shall head down right away. Lisa you come to."
"Understood." Lisa and I walked into the conference. It was deathly quite. Everyone just watched as I took my seat with Lisa standing behind me.
"It is good to see everyone again. I heard you had some problems while I was gone. If possible I am hoping you can fill me in on what happened over the last week." I gave a light smile. There was a long silence after I spoke.
"If I may go first. I am sure everyone here is wondering where you have been for the last week." Akuji said.
"But of course. I happened to take a little trip to visit some old friends and to see if I could find out anything new about the Zombie situation."
"Is that so? Well anything new?" The Vampire asked with a bored tone. I glanced at her only to see something completely unexpected. She was holding a snow white fluffy cat with blue eyes in her lap. She was even stroking if in a evil villein way. [ Pffft... ]
"... I have found out that the Court of Life are looking into this problem." A couple of people paled. "They are trying to find out a way to stop the Zombies as well as who was the cause in the first place. Thankfully they are making no progress. On the other hand I have also found out that the Zombies are susceptible to the weather."
"I see..." The Vampire looked a little shaken by this. "Well it is good to hear that the Zombies are affected by the weather. How are they affected?"
"Well in cold icy weather they freeze. They become wonderful ice statues. Completely unable to move but can make noisy. It appears that they will stay that way until the ice thaws."
"That is good news. So we can just keep them frozen at all times than." said the Fae.
"I don't see why we care about the Zombies. They are no problem to us." Seth grumpily said.
"Werewolves are so simple minded." The insult came from a man dressed entirely in black.
"What did you say ghost?!"
"Only the truth mutt. If the Court of Life finds out that our town is the cause of this incident then we are dead. This is why we are interested in the Zombies. Before this it didn't matter who or how many died but now it is our problem."
"As if it is our problem. What is so special that about this Court of Life that have to fear them? Plus it is that Damned Necromancers problem not ours."

"Now, now Seth. The Necromancer lives in Shadow Wood so it is our problem." The Fae tried to calm the situation. "The Court of Life is in charge of all supernatural creatures and the Zombies do in fact harm us. This makes the Court really interested in this case. They can also be a little unforgiving about incidents such as this."
"...." Seth looked a bit disbelieving.
"You are wrong little Fairy we Vampires are not ruled by the Court of Life." The Vampire glared at the Fae.
"That's right you are hunted by them are you not." The Fae smiled sweetly.
"Look here you solidified Pixie dust we are not and have never been hunted by the Court of Life. As the name says the Court is only in charge of living things. Vampires classify as Undead not Living."
"Oh ho, your denial of reality sure is something you over sized mosquito."
"Shouldn't you stop them?" Lisa whispered to me"
"Is that so. I'm sure that you would know all about that being creatures that don't even live on this plain to begin with. Yet you ran here to save yourselves from your own wars." The Fae's hair started to be twinged with pink and her eyes red.
"Sigh, Ok everyone lets calm down. The Court of Life doesn't know that we are the cause yet. It is also true that the Court of Life and the Shadows Assembly at eachother's throat due to differences in belief." I tried to get everyone back on track. "Now we can still prevent the Court from knowing it was us as long as we can get rid of the Zombies. However for that to happen we need more information. Right now we know how to stop it from spreading temperately by freezing them in place, but this will only work in the north and only in the winter. We need a better plan. So why don't we first find out what Seth has found out while he was outside the wall."
"... So.... Right, there is a Human sanctuary that has been built not to far from here. it seems that they are currently holding there own there. The Zombies are also more abundant over there. In areas where there are no longer any people the Zombies have moved on. Creating entirely deserted areas. Other than that I haven't been able to find any weakness of the Zombies."
"Is that so.... Thank you. I will have to send someone over to the Human sanctuary to see if they have found out anything. Well as this is all we have right now about this why don't we move on. What has happened while I was away."
"....."
I stared out at every one waiting for someone to speak up. ".... Everything is fine." The gargoyle lied.
"Yes nothing interesting has happened while you were gone." Seth chimed in.
"...."
"Is that so? Then I guess I just imagined the increase in animals in town or the completely destroyed Human area. I also didn't see a gaping hole in the ground." Some on the people flinched when I said this. "Now I have already started taking care of these issues but I am sure there are more that have not been mentioned."
"......"
[ Sigh, are you serious? No one will talk. ] "I see, then I will call this meeting to an end. If something happens notify me." With that I stood and left the room with Lisa trailing behind. "Lisa contact Terry and have him come to my office."
"Of course." Lisa walked off as I made it back to my office and the land of paper. [ Sigh, might as well get this done. ]

Book 6: The Frenzied Tide Synopsis: A sword hangs above the Eastern Territories. The Human God, progenitor of all life, the direct cause of the beastfolk genocide, has made his will known to the rulers of the East — make peace with the God of Water, or be destroyed in three months. Book 9: Homeland Song Synopsis: Gazing out at the Orb of old, Gaius ponders his destiny and the great stakes with it. Charged with the protection of the future, all that awaits him is an eternal solitude... On the other side of the false world, a single star shines, one whose light is meant to protect. Gemini, who has long found a homeland in the form of Ark City, has spent years defending it with friends and family alike. However, an inexorable end is approaching. The day the Great Divide falls looms ever closer. At the crossroads of destiny, when the chains of fate bind him fully, what will the last Constellation choose? And what will his choice mean for the rest of the Five Lands? Mortal fetters continue to tie him down, with the prospect of breaking them a heart-rending prospect. There is little light for him in the darkness; his emotions seemingly a poisoned apple. For him, the days ahead are one of balancing his emotions; his immortal destiny is antithetical to the aspects that make one mortal. However, Gaius gazes not at the present, but at the future beyond. What does he see there? And what will he do? Book 13: Destiny Divergent Synopsis: Bells ring, and destiny veers. Book 14: Abyss Ascendent Synopsis: As a future of never-ending conflict draws closer, Gaius stands at the centre of Orb, his will tempered and set. What the Wildlands has ceased to be, he will inherit. Divine Kingdoms and mortal nations clamour for peace to prepare for greater wars, but Gaius will no longer stand for that. For the sake of his dream, the Five Lands — and now, the Wildlands — must be unified against a common enemy. Gaius himself. Raising the flag of rebellion against mortal nature and destiny, the Abyss Sovereign commences a festival of creation for his new world, a paradise unimaginable to both mortal and divine minds.
