《Blue mage》Chapter 22: The Ice Queen

While Elizabeth was meeting her team Tabitha was doing the same in a very different manner. Her team was just sitting around waiting for her to arrive when arrive she did in armor made of ice blasting towards the center of the group. While they were stunned each member got to work already having dealt with this before each taking one step back.
Tabitha jumped and landed in the middle of the group and let her helmet melt away revealing her face. “Okay, guys we are officially part of Llyn’s combat force now, and to celebrate we are going to get us a captain!” Tabitha’s bubbly personality didn’t match the way she fought but no one on her team ever asked because after all, she was terrifying. The group gave a spattering of light cheers. “And I even know which one we’re going to fight. Meet at the north gate in an hour.” And just like she came she launched herself out of the ring of people in a blast of cold air.
The team gave some nods towards each other and set out to get ready with everyone sprinting towards the local shops knowing what would happen if you were late. 50 minutes later everyone was at the gate except Tabitha who would be exactly on time. Nine minutes later Tabitha was skating with blades made of Ice on very thin strips of ice that only extended a foot in front of her and a foot behind her. Tabitha skidded right next to them at exactly one hour from before. Tabitha flashed a cheery smile, checked for each person, and nodded her head. “Good everyone’s here and ready to go. Follow me,” she said with a wave of her hand and started to skate down the road. Her team quickly filed in after her having to sprint to keep up. Normally she would go about at a jogging pace if she went faster than that if she was excited. If she was excited, it meant a stupid hard fight.

After 8 hours of sprinting, which was only possible because every free point they had went into resilience. When Tabitha stopped everyone was running on fumes and spudding out. Everyone but Tabitha collapsed to the ground the second she stopped moving. Tabitha waited ten minutes before saying, “Enough waiting around. Time to set up camp.” Before creating a tent made of ice for herself and creating the fire pit by having an ice shove did it out. Madison flattened the area with her earth magic then everyone set up their tents with the archers, Matt and Ryan, going hunting. The fighters, Rebeca and Jason, went to get firewood. After the fighters got back with the wood Gabby started the fire and used a spell to make the wood burn longer. Soon the archers came back soon after with some nasty-looking rabbits and a steel wolf.
“Ugh, another steel wolf,” Rebeca complained putting on a pouting face. Matt gave her a look of contempt, “If you,” before he was cut off by both Rebeca and Jason, “ Want to complain then go hunting yourself. We know,” The entire thing was said with a chuckle. Matt smiled before Madison raised a table for the animals to be skinned on. Setting the animals down their healer, Alex, came over and healed the dead animals fixing their wounds and freshening up the meat before Matt took back over skinning and butchering the animals. Soon they had all gathered around the fire with the meat cooking above it with Matt making sure that none of the meat burned.
“Any hints on what we're fighting,” Matt asked while rotating the meat. Tabitha smiled a dangerous smile, “No fucking clue but it wiped out a whole squad from Haven.” Tabitha was almost bouncing in her seat. The team readied themselves for a difficult fight and dug into the meat that Matt had seared to perfection. With meat juice dripping down their chins they laughed and made the most of the night. Soon watch rotation was chosen and everyone who didn’t have the first watch duty was asleep in minutes.

Everyone was awake bright and early and ready to fight. Which they had to wait for as Tabitha informed them that they were about 3 hours away. The team let out a sigh of disappointment before having a moment of crisis with them recognizing that Tabitha is rubbing off on them. With everyone looking at each other mentally promising to never speak of this they set out ready to fight.
When they arrived at the spot, they noticed that there was a small road leading from the main one right to where the captain would be. They didn’t care though and followed the small road. They got into positions as they marched down the road with Tabitha in the front, now covered in ice armor, then Rebeca and Jason, after them was Matt and Ryan, and finally Madison, Gabby, and Alex. They were ready for a fight now as they strolled into a burned-out clearing empty of all life right now. Right as they entered the clearing a beautiful masculine voice spoke to them, “Just leave the offering right there and I’ll come to get it later.” Tabitha let out a cruel piercing laugh, “HAHAHA, this is going to be a blast. Provide minor support I want to beat this one myself.”
The last captain showed up soon, it looked like a well-muscled extremely handsome man with dark red skin and horns. The captain looked at the weak creatures that dare to defy it when a fist of ice slammed into its jaw making it stumble back in shock. Another fist slammed into its stomach faster than it could process the shock from the first hit. Rather than take another hit the captain activated his flaming cloak and fire flared out of its body hot enough to melt the dirt under its feet. And yet another fist of ice impacted his precious face breaking his jaw then a leg swept into its leg-breaking its knee. The captain then fell to the ground which proved to be a mistake as soon afoot was descending towards its face, and it had no way of stopping it. The captain felt its life end as the foot caved in its skull. Tabitha had a look of disappointment all over her face as her foot squashed the bug beneath it, how did a whole team die to this trash. She turned back to her team who were waiting for her to finish. “Ok let’s pack it up after…” In the distance, a loud roar was heard, and Tabitha’s face lit up. Maybe this one would be better. “Scratch that we’re going to fight whatever that was.”

The Due
Every sailor knows the tale of Davy Jones' Locker. That place drowned sailors are sent to, ever resting on sea's bed. Some tales recount of a ghostly ship, the Flying Dutchman. Many a story has spawned from these two tales. Countless retellings mixing in their own fictions. But all stories spawn with a kernel of truth to them, and the story of Davy Jones is no exception. Those who've met the legendary seaman and his ghostly ship might call him a ferryman, escorting the drowned to their respective afterlives. Others might call him a devil, meting punishment on those deserving. The true story is always slightly different. Davy Jones is a ferryman, but not one for the afterlife, as Walter finds out. No, Davy Jones manages those who die at sea while in debt, and Walter died with a lot of debt. Unable to pay, Davy puts Walter to work. The specter has just the job for the dead college graduate. Another god, Sod, needs an afterlife for his new world. Davy tasks Walter with the job. Suddenly, Walter finds himself having to run a fledgling underworld with little instruction from Sod. To top it off, the denizens of Sod's world have their own ambitions to achieve godhood, and they won't take kindly to Sod's newest employee shaking up the status quo. [Traumatizing Content tag is up just to let everyone know this will be a story that deals with different themes of death. Some of them won't be nice and so better to be safe than sorry.]
