James watched as Death bowed and took his leave vanishing as he had arrived. In a swirl of leaves.
James then began to freak out. “Holy Shit! I cannot believe I am this lucky! Oh, I must be some gods favorite!” James shouted as he rejoiced with all his heart. He through caution to the wind for that moment, he had earned it. He always restrained his emotions, or at least attempted to. This was a rare moment he decided to cut loose.
James flew up into the sky doing loops, barrel rolls, and many other aerial stunts until he started to feel a little nauseous.
Due to his level ups he was now able to better utilize his warding rod. With those levels he could now cast up to the 8th tier without the rod. So, James cast [Greater Teleportation] promptly arriving at his base. James sat down on a bench and logged out of Yggdrasil.
When he checked the clock, he was horrified. “It’s 7:30. I only have 30 minutes to get ready!”
James woke up the next morning in his bed next to Reo. He just laid there enjoying his time with her. This time James was spending with her made him think of things he had not previously considered.
‘I have her and things are great. If this goes on, I may not want to leave.’ James immediately derailed that thought as his smile became a scowl. ‘I’m here. I must go, but what about her? What about Reo?’
James thought about the problem for a moment. ‘If I can get her to play, then I can take her with me. Then again, I have to get her to play.’ James slowly caressed Reo’s body, cupping her face in his palm and giving her a kiss on her cheek.

‘I have time. I only really need her to be online in the final moments of the game. I can just make a bet with her about something. The only thing that matters is that she be online and, in the game, when the server’s go down.’ James pushed these thoughts away for another time. He had more than a decade to set everything up.
James got up out of bed and walked over to his bedroom window. Looking out of the window he was greeted by the artificial Sunday morning sky. James ran through his routine, though he as interrupted halfway through for some more fun times by Reo.
When she left with a kiss and a smile, shacking her nice hips as she walked, she said, “It was definitely better at your house. Same again next week?” James smiled loving the scene before him, “Hell yeah!” Reo decided to walk home enjoying the clean air.
James closed the door and ate breakfast with his protection detail. They teased him about how they all had trouble sleeping last night. James just laughed and they all laughed with him. He missed people like this. ‘Maybe I will try to bring these guys with me.’ James thought.
James logged into Yggdrasil. His heart rejoiced as the game terrain loaded in, in a wave spreading outward from him. He always loved this feature of the game.

Ravyn's Nights - Book 3
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through 5 centuries of endless nights. Book 3 covers the 19th century. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.
