PHASE 31 - THE GORY SWORD PRINCESS

“Big Sis!”

Heushac exclaimed as he rushed to his long-lost sister. But for some reason, Rikkun blocked him with his hand. I was surprised that Helena was alive too, but I can feel that something is off.

Especially that right mechanical arm of hers. It has scales and metal spikes, and blue glowing veins are running through it. It looks foreign as if it came from alien technology.

“Heushac, settle down. That’s not Helena…” Rikkun said with his golden cross sigil on his eyes glowing, indicating that he currently has his activated. “She will attack you the moment you approach her.”

“Big sis will never do that!” Heushac yelled.

“Ohoho~” Helena laughed with a threatening grin. “So the Prophet knows what’s up. You can predict the future after all.”

Suddenly, Helena’s robotic right arm extended like rubber and grabbed the restrained witch by the nape of her neck.

“Big sis Helena…” Heushac frowned. He can’t believe that his sister is no longer on our side.

“Helena Efilion…” Mia muttered. “Help me get out of this magical rope… please.”

Helena’s attention went to the shackled witch. From the way Mia talks, they are allies but Helena’s gaze at her was not pity but mere disappointment.

“I never thought you and Void Wolf are fools for being defeated by mere Gate Guardians. I thought capturing the God Core of Mars is easy enough for you, but oh well… I’ll do it myself.”

Helena materialized her greatsword. Lord Mercury and the other Gate Guardians are about to charge, but for some reason, fear itself has consumed our thoughts.

Helena raised her big sword.

“It seems that the Outsider has already removed the Outer God Core of Shub-Niggurath from your heart. Without that, you’re nothing. You’re good as dead...!”

The blade went down.

“Gahak!”

Helena stabbed Mia’s heart with full force and weight! Dark blood gushed out from her chest and mouth. Red fluid got splattered on the floor. Not being satisfied for being brutal, she drove her blade from the witch’s lungs all the way to the throat!

“N...Nnnnn…..” Mia’s soft cries are no longer audible for her vocal cords are now sliced up.

“T-That’s horrible…” I covered my mouth and closed my eyes. I don’t want to watch a once precious friend butcher a helpless person.

“B-Big sis… Why did you do that!?” Heushac cried.

“My baby brother.” Helena’s smile was those of a killer clown’s. “You don’t know what this world can offer. You’re too young to make a footstep with your tiny feet. Too innocent.”

“Helena…” Rikkun muttered. “What happened to you? Why do you wield the eye of a Cursed Guardian? How did you return back from the dead?”

“Oh yeah, I forgot that I died.” Helena chuckled as she walked around, her metal boots clanking for every step she takes. “Or did I? You saved me after all.”

“What do you mean…”

“The Outsider must have told you that mere activation of the Fake God Core of Cthulhu shall rewrite fate. You used that during our battle against Fenrir, and I was saved… And I was not pleased with that. I was better off dead.”

“What are you talking about, Big sis!?” Heushac cried. “I’m happy that you are alive! We are all happy!”

“Soon, you will realize that I should have stayed dead.” Helena’s mechanical helmet covered her face and blue circuits on her armor glowed, transforming her into Lord Zeus in battle mode.

“Get ready!” Rikkun said as he materialized his twin revolvers and pointed it to Helena. Lord Mercury charged his staff with light, and Key transformed her hands to buster cannons. I also materialized my staff, ready to support them. But Heushac failed to move a muscle.

“!!!” Zeus made a blinding stab with her greatsword enchanted with electric power! And it’s aimed at her brother’s heart!

In the nick of time, Lord Mercury boosted, leaving a silver streak! He grabbed Heushac away and landed on a safe distance.

“Snap out of it, Heushac!” Lord Mercury scolded. “We have to fight your sister right now!”

“B-But big sis is…”

“I know that it’s really confusing at this phase, but you have to strengthen up your will. If we defeat her here, we are most likely to get some answers.” Mercury said.

Heushac watched his big sister’s battle as she was being distracted by Rikkun’s and Key’s long-range bullet barrages. They are taking advantage of the range because they know that Helena is a pure melee fighter. But all those attacks are futile to Zeus’ knight armor.

Heushac tightened his grip on his sword.

“You’re right, Kristoff.” Heushac smiled as his eyes twinkled with steel-hard resolve. “This will be the best opportunity for me to show how strong I have become!”

Knowing that Helena is agile enough to reach him, Rikkun materialized his katana to clash with the lord of lightning’s sword. Sparks burst out of their colliding blades.

Suddenly, Helena buffed her giant sword with electricity! Lightning jolts crawled upon the katana, then to Rikkun’s arm and body!

“Kah!” Rikkun cried. He immediately dashed backward to avoid direct clashes with Zeus’s electricity.

“!!!” I raised my staff as a white energy dragon flew around Rikkun and Key to heal their wounds. Without Rikkun’s godly powers, we are only able to hold Helena up for so long. If this keeps up, I’ll run out of prana and leave my allies wounded without being able to recover.

Rikkun is barely struggling as he locked swords again with the Greek God of Lightning. He’s slowly being pushed back. All he can do now is to grit his teeth.

Hang in there, Rikkun! Help is coming!

“Key, let’s do this!” Heushac shouted from the distance.

There was a hint of a smile on Key’s face as she nodded. She spawned mech wings from her back as he rushed to Heushac’s place.

“Activating Guardian Ability: !!!”

Key converted her own body into tiny particles of light that ate the teenage boy’s skin. Heushac’s transformation sequence is so cool! Now he has this futuristic exoskeleton armor with wide shoulder wings capable of flight.

“ transformation complete!” Heushac shouted. “Here I go, Sis Helenaaaaa!!!”

“!!!” Zeus swung her sword, and a crescent electrifying shockwave was released!

“!!!” Heushac did slash down the chasing projectile with his flaming sword! “I’m going to reach you, Sis Helena!”

“Lightning Jou-”

“!!!” Never did Zeus know that Lord Mercury is carrying Heushac on his back, and now they dashed forward with a speed much faster than anything else!

“Haaaa!”

Slash! The right part of the helmet, as well as the shoulder armor, has been chipped out!

“You insolent-!!!” Zeus followed her boosting brother with her eyes. But the moment she was distracted, we commenced our attacks!

“! , !” Rikkun and I threw the very same spell, each freezing Zeus’ feet! Now she can’t move!

“!!!” Armored Heushac quantumly divided her atoms and teleported right above and in front of the God of Lightning! And he’s prepared to give the finishing blow now that Zeus can’t escape! “!!!”

Bam! There was a shockwave as Heushac delivered the earth-shaking bash to the head. A giant crater was formed and debris all around came flying.

Heushac dashed away from the site and checked his sister from the distance. The powerful attack rendered Helena unable to maintain her mechanical armor God Form. She’s now regular Helena, wearing a revealing dark bodysuit that shapes her improved breasts and buttocks.

Blood crawled on the sword princess’s forehead.

But she still has this devilish grin on her face.

“You guys have grown strong… So I guess I must respond with full force.” Helena said as she touched her glowing heart.
