Sand. Nothing but sand, and the occasional tumbleweed. I’ve been wandering for 4 days now, and I'm starting to run low on food. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to go by foot. Whatever, if i'm right there should be a tavern coming up soon. I have been practicing my magic, to impress the guilds, maybe I might get into the legendary three… Wishful thinking but you can dream haha. Maybe I'll get real practice soon. I hadn't seen a monster since the tiny sand salamander 4 days ago, but I don't know if I'd really call that practice. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
???: Man this is sad, this diary has been the only thing keeping me sane in the intense heat of this place. I really hope this guild thing works out so I don't have to go home.
The campfire crackles into the night as this hooded traveler drifts into a night of rest. As morning comes, the ear piercing screeching of the morning newts rings through the desert, and awakens our young traveler.
???: God those things are annoying
As they look over they see a morning newt within arms reach staring back at them.
???: Sigh
The rekindled fires curl over the freshly caught newt. As a few minutes pass, they grab the skewer and take a small bite out of the newt, a brief face of disgust washes over them, but ultimately finish their meal.
???: It wasn't the best, but i killed it, so i had to eat it, wasting a life doesn't sit well with me
Their stomach grumbles.
???: But i fear it still wont sit well with me...
After a brief… break, they continue traversing this desolate wasteland of a desert. After several miles of only sand, they appear to see a building.
???: God I hope that's the tavern, and not a mirage.

They walk to the entrance of the building, the doors, a set of Batwing saloon doors. As they enter the building, shifting gazes across the tavern find there way to them, freezing them in place for a moment before continuing. They find a seat at the bar.
Tavern Keep: What can I getcha lad
The hooded figure pull down there hood, revealing her long blonde hair
Tavern Keep: Oh im sorry, lass.
???: It's fine haha, can i get a-
Her statement cut short by an eruption of commotion as the doors were kicked in by a girl with long red hair carrying a large piece of tech with a long barrel, resembling that of a minigun
??? 2: PUT YOUR HANDS UP, AND SURRENDER!
