《The unyielding lost girl》Thief

Wait, I am way too tired to go to the city right now, if possible, I'd love to avoid other random fights.
This reminds me, I should probably write a diary to keep notes on the weird phenomenon that is affecting me.
But, I can't help but think about the past days, they sure have been a pain in the ass, but there are a few elements that bug me.
First: My abilities. How is it possible that after just a few days from being unconscious, I can put up a fight against several enemies? How can I survive after being burnt alive, albeit it was for just a short time, so I probably have harder skin, I suppose?
Oh, I derailed from my line of thoughts. I was thinking about my abilities, yep.
Let's do this again.
I can fight, so it's safe to assume that this body, or my soul if we are making a supposition that this is not my original vessel, has been through several fights.
The adrenaline boost guided my instincts, but if I try to do it now...
She tried to dash forward, tripped, and rolled down.
Man, that hurts like hell!
How did I quickly dispose of the two adventurers then? The boost should have gone by then. However, I was still pretty fast.
Guess it can be determined by the fact that I was still under the adrenaline effect since I was hybernated but...
Didn't System say that excessive epinephrine was prohibited? So maybe at the time, I was within the limits allowed?
Either way, I am strong, pretty sure about it.
She puffed her chest.
Now that I think about it, isn't my chest kinda...small?
She tried to grope her flat chest without results, and after realizing she was naked due to her clothes being incinerated previously, she understood why the two adventurers were so eagerly ready to rape her.
She shook her head and acted as nothing happened.
Second point: the language, I can understand them, and they can understand me, but what is the name of my idiom? Although this will derail me into asking myself where am I from, so I won't bother going down this path until I get more pieces information.
Third point: I can kill other humans in cold blood just like that, without second thought or hesitation. They were absolute trash, but this does not change the fact that I killed them.
Was I a mercenary? A soldier? A spy? Ugh, my head hurts trying to remember.
I will stop for now to avoid other headaches until I get my diary so I can sort things out by writing them down.
She refrained from thinking about her identity while mindlessly walking around.
Until she noticed she was walking in circles.
She tried to avoid thinking about it, but her brain processed it.

It's probably just a habit, please, stop thinking for a second.
She managed to stop her train of questions.
I need to find a place to stay for the night. I am too tired.
She looked towards one of the pines.
Guess I will be a monkey for today.
She climbed the tree, found a comfortable branch, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
A strong, stinking, smell was inhaled by her nose.
She woke up and noticed that she had something in her eyes.
Her hand moved and tried to clean the source of the smell, failing miserably.
She sat straight and this time, scratched harder.
Bird shit, fantastic, now I miss the waterfall's lake.
She cleaned her face the best she could with her arms and jumped down the tree.
Rolling upon touching the ground, she managed to avoid getting hurt.
I feel great honestly, let's go
Humming a joyful melody she reached a small cliff and scanned the area.
A paved road, made of soil and stone presented itself.
Civilization huh, should I follow the main road or keep it low?
Her thoughts got interrupted by the noise of wooden wheels and laughter.
A group of bandits was attacking a merchant carriage.
* * *
"Hey Ars, ain't this a good fish?" said one of the bandits.
The man seemed to be in his 40s, had a large muscular body, blonde hair, and green eyes.
"...whatever, let's get this over with. We need to unload the goods as fast as possible."
The individual named Ars, on the other hand, was a young gorgeous girl.
She possessed blonde curly hair and purple eyes resembling an amethyst.
She crossed her arms, impatient.
Her bountiful breasts were pressed hard against the tight suit she was wearing.
But none of the bandits looked her way. They probably were used to it.
"Aye aye cap'n," said the large man.
"Oi boys, get movin' or the lil' missy over here gonna get angry!"
Soon the bandits unloaded everything from the carriage.
The obtained boxes were full of expensive-looking jewelry, gold, and even mead.
Everything seemed to proceed smoothly, but Ars had her guard up for a reason.
Someone or something was watching them.
"Who is it and where? I feel like I am being glared at. It's unsettling."
* * *
They are huge. How is she carrying those things around?
But the carriage it's even more interesting.
She switched target and observed the refined-looking carriage.
It had a single door and was skillfully decorated.
Golden ornaments were fusing with the white background delicately.
I wonder if I can sell this? Right now, I have nothing on me, and some cash surely would help.
Foretasting the moment, she sneakily moved towards the carriage and waited for the right moment.
* * *
"Hey Ars, come here, look at this chandelier...what's wrong?" said one of the bulky bandits.

"Nothing, I just felt something odd." she replied.
"What do you mean?" he looked at her.
"I don't kno-"
The vehicle engine powered on, and it started gaining speed.
"I knew it." thought Ars.
A petite black-haired girl was showing her face from the window, yelling cheerfully towards them.
"I will be taking this one! See you around losers!"
* * *
"Hey, Ars?"
"Yes?"
"She stole the carriage."
"I know."
"Do you know her?"
"Never seen her before."
"I see."
The conversation was over, and all the bandits could do was observing the carriage disappearing in the distance.
* * *
Theft accomplished!
This thing sure is comfy, there's a bunch of soft pillows laying around, and the seat texture is just...heavenly.
I wonder why such a luxurious vehicle did not have any escort, and that bouncy girl... something was off about her, it felt like I met her before, is she an acquaintance?
Regardless, Can I even manage to sell this thing?
It has an engine on the back that allows it to move on its own, but regarding the source of that power, all I know is that it makes weird noises. Wouldn't it still be pretty pricey?
Her thoughts got interrupted by the sight of solid stone walls.
A queue of vehicles and people was in front of the majestic iron gate.
She could hear the loud murmurs of the crowd.
Some of them were protesting about the harsh treatment of the guards since nobles' carriages were not even checked and just let through.
Some were busy selling their goods to the passersby.
Some were observing the situation while some others were waiting for their turn.
The girl got out of the vehicle since the queue wasn't progressing at all.
She had a closer look around until the guards saw her.
They gestured to the other guards and surrounded her.
"What do we have here? If it isn't a dirty little thief, come with us, it's an order."
Guess I fucked up. I should have walked.
They handcuffed her hands without any resistance on her side.
Bringing her inside the castle walls, caused curiosity in the spectators of the scene.
They brought her to an office and placed her on a chair.
An old-looking man approached and sat in front of the girl.
"First of all, wear some clothes" he threw her a basic t-shirt and trousers.
"What about panties?" she unconsciously asked.
"An exhibitionist like you asking for underwear? That's pretty rare." he retorted.
"I am not an exhibitionist!" the girl answered.
"A naked girl, in front of the castle walls, with a whole lot of people able to see her. I am pretty sure this fits the description of an exhibitionist." the man said chuckling.
"...Fair enough".
She wore what was given to her and sat back on the chair.
The man took a Container from his pocket and started asking questions.
"We will now proceed with an interrogation. If you answer accurately nothing bad will happen, if you lie on the other hand..." the man looked at her straight in the eyes, with a grin.
"I understand!" she replied unfazed by the threat.
This might not end well.
"What's your name?"
-"I don't know."
A slightly shocked expression manifested on the man's face, but he continued his job.
"Where are you from?"
-"I don't know."
"Did you perhaps lose your memories?"
-"Yes"
"What is the oldest memory you have at the moment?"
-"A desert"
"There are no deserts in this continent, so why the container is not reacting?" the man thought, worried.
Hmmm? Why is he making that expression?
"Did I say something weird? You stopped all of a sudden." she said, looking carefully at the details on his face.
"Not really, no" after saying those words, the container lit up.
Interesting.
-"Was that a lie?" she pressed the conversation.
"I am the one asking questions."
-"Go on." she replied giggling.
"Is it your first time in Ray?"
-"Yes, I did not even know the name of the city until now."
The man was getting visibly nervous.
"What about the carriage? Where did you get it?"
-"I retrieved it by a group of brigands, and was thinking of taking it to the city."
"Bandits? Describe them"
-"One of them was a girl with a huge chest! That's all I remember."
The man lost it and started screaming.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! Why is the Container malfunctioning whenever I ask her questions?"
-"Oh! I think it works just fine."
"Shut your damn trap! Are you a witch, an alchemist? What in the world are you?"
-"I am none of the things you just mentioned."
"I had enough of this bullshit!" He called the other guards.
"Get this girl out of here! I don't want to see her ever again!"
The guards tried to calm him down, and after failing, they let her go.
-"Oh right, old man, can I keep those clothes? Or I might wind up back here due to indecent exposure~"
"Argh! Fine, do whatever you want, you brat! Just get the hell out of here already!"
"Thanks! And good luck with your job~"
She left the office grinning while a ruckus was inside it.
That was so fun! I felt just like System when it mocks me!
In high spirits, she was now free to roam around.
Time to gather some intel!

Author's note: This is the first story I'm writting in a coherent manner (I have written a lot of DnD background stories in the past), so bear with me if I make boring or overdescriptive bits: I'll regularly come back to rewrite whichever parts feel unpolished, especially grammatical errors. I would also appreciate any corrections or suggestions.
