《P I G S》1. Unfamiliar island
Advertisement
I slam down my beer as I finish my last sips. I wipe the excess that missed my mouth with my sleeve and pay my tab. The sounds of conversation around me entered my ears as if they were just white noise. I managed to stumble my way out of the bar and onto the streets.
The streets are bare except for the streetlamps and the homeless below their light. I solo waltz in a drunken stumble back to my humble abode and ponder about having to go to work tomorrow, considering whether or not I should just call it a sick day. I open the door to my small apartment and place the key in a bowl next to the door.
I attempted to take off my clothing in a drunken mess however after about two tries I forfeit my defeat to the clothing and fell onto the bed with them on. As my body lands on the bed, my eyes draw closed quickly and I fall fast into a peaceful slumber
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The gentle sound of waves fluttered into my ears as the wind caressed my face. My bed felt as soft as sand. It was as if I was on the shore of an island. As I started to awaken my eyes opened slowly and soon I realized that I may have been on the shore of an island. There was sand beneath my feet and waves dancing at my forefront. I got up in a hastened panic as confusion set inside of me. After a moment of thought and a partially absent-minded conclusion I believed myself to be in a lucid dream.
After that thought came, I put all of my belief into it and looked at the world in a new view of awe and wonder. I always wondered what people felt when they were lucid dreaming and this is impressive.

The clear blue water that stretched for miles seemed unreal and the sand under my feet felt comfortable. The trees that laid behind me were so dense they looked as if they were not a forest but a jungle. It was as if I had been taken from my home and dropped onto a real island. After admiring the view in front of me I decided to go exploring, after all this was a dream.
I walked into the forest that's rooftop was built out of branches and leaves. I felt at peace in this moment as if nothing could harm my body or mind. After walking for a while I came across a small stone entrance. It looked as if it went deep underground. I peeked inside and was surprised by the stone staircase with torches lighting its way.
I thought to myself that maybe there was a civilization on this dreamy island. I decided to enter inside of this entrance. The stairs went deep into the ground to a point where I thought there was no end.
I eventually managed to reach the bottom and stood there in shock at the sight in front of me. Twelve men were wearing no shirts or pants allowing their genitals to feel the cool breeze. Although their nakedness was alarming what was more shocking was that their heads were pig's heads. I was impressed by the detail in these pig-like masks. They would even blink and snort like a real pig.
I looked in the middle and found a girl who was wearing no clothing. She was also wearing one of these strange pig masks. Unlike the men though she was laying on a stone table in the middle. Eventually, one of the pigmen came forwards and held up a knife.
I gasped in shock as I watched the knife plunged deep into her chest. The pig then twisted the knife. Blood seeping past the blade and down her body pooling on the floor around her. Just as I thought it was over he pulled out the knife, opened the wound with his bare hands, and put his head inside of the pig lady. The pigman then started flailing his arms as if his head was stuck inside of the wound. Using all his might the pigman eventually managed to pull his head out however he no longer had a head. Headless, he stumbled around for a moment before his corpse fell to the floor.

I vomited at the grotesque scene in front of me as this dreamy island suddenly became a nightmare. After I saw this horrific scene I heard the sound of crying coming from the pig lady, however, it wasn't an adult female voice, it was the voice of multiple baby pigs. I looked at her as slits opened at the ends of her fingers and toes. Out of them came small, Microscopic versions of the pig people.
As I was watching this unfold I noticed that the other pig men were staring at me. I stopped and stared for a moment as if I was a deer in headlights. Suddenly they started oinking like pigs. It started slow but they got faster and faster.
In a fight-or-flight response, I ran back up the stairs the way I came. I ran as fast as I could. I even tripped on the stairs scraping my hands and knees but I kept running. Something was wrong. This didn't feel like a dream anymore. The blood and pain from when I fell were too real. Once I got up the stairs I kept running and running, I didn't stop even when I cut myself on a branch.
I finally stopped running when I came to an opening in the forest. I fell over from exhaustion and vomited again. The adrenaline made me taste blood in my throat started to slowly disappear as I huffed and puffed. I sat down on the floor and took a deep breath.
As I did I noticed a man in front of me. He had long black hair and a shaggy long beard. He had blue eyes and was wearing a white bathrobe sitting on a rock which made him look completely out of place.
I stared at him in shock until he responded “Sup my name’s Joe”. “Wha-” I tried to respond to him however he cut me off saying “Joe mama”. I looked at him stunned and silent as I processed his joke and managed to utter “What the Fuck?”

It Started with Slime
Before we jump in, let me say that the MC starts stupid, so the language and writing style is straightforward to reflect this. The writing improves with the MC and as the chapters progress (I hope). It is also a gradual growth story, so no zero to hero in ten seconds... with that out of the way: An alchemical experiment has gone wrong and results in a Slime Monster. It doesn't have a name at first and is something that it will need to work out! This story follows a Slime that starts as a Micro Slime with some level of consciousness, and there is more to it than meets the eye. Survival is the name of the game. To improve, it works hard to grow, evolve and become more powerful to survive its harsh new reality. There is a lot more going, and only time will tell if this Slime (all its various versions) can become strong enough to make it through the strife to the other side. It's a harsh world, after all. It Started with Slime is a story with a Monster Protagonist Evolution story. There will be no profanity and no sexual content, and there will be some violence and fighting descriptions. I am a native English speaker, and so the English here should be to a good standard. That said, even though editing, there may be some corrections and typos, so if you see some, let me know! If it bothers you a lot, I am working to make sure all chapters have no typos, but of course, some might slip through. I will endeavour to correct any picked up, though! Also, I started this a few months ago and so any feedback is always appreciated, also reviews and ratings! If you like or don't like the story, let me know in the detailed reviews! That always helps me see what is good and what needs improving. Working on releasing chapters twice a week, I will try to increase that as time goes, but at the moment, that is what I can release. Patreon has more. If the story gets more popular, then I will increase the releases. I am aiming ultimately for a chapter a day if I can get to that. Chapters are roughly 1500 words, with Interludes every five chapters being more or less than that! Enjoy! Edit: Book 1 finished on Patreon, and the format for Book 2 is slightly different with Interludes every three chapters, and the release schedule will be three chapters a week. Mobius
Far in the future, humans have thoroughly colonized space through the use of floating colonies and artificially replicating the Earth whenever possible. Most of these endeavors have gone well, with humanity spreading across the universe like the seeds of plants floating in the wind. Yet still there lurks the great mistake, the endless station of Mobius, a megastructure which hasn't ceased its building in over a century. Dante, a man living in this megastructure, is tasked with the recording of stories told by criminals, particularly those who travel between strata. One day, a prisoner is captured claiming to be Captain Pluto, an infamous criminal thought to be fictitious by most scholars. Even more curious, he claims to hail all the way from Stratum 56, a location so far away from Dante's Stratum 999 that it would take lifetimes to traverse such a distance. Dante must discern whether or not the story is false or true, and the longer he lets Captain Pluto speak, the more difficult his task becomes. *****Average chapter length will be 10k words give or take. This isn't a very serious story for me. I'm writing this to blow off steam. Updates will happen infrequently because of this, and it will most likely be unpolished unless I begin to take it more seriously.
