《My Little Abomination》Chapter 11: Gentle Difficulty Curves Doesn't Exist In Real Life, Only Steep Hellish Ones...

I forcibly stood up with my bloody body in the ruined hall as I watched in horror as the army man ripped Ena off him. Hey, what if her tentacles was damaged because of that!
He then violently tossed Ena across the room. That filled my head with nothing but parental rage.
Let's kill this guy, Shimini...
With my signal, the sword of light in Shimini's hands bathed in millions of colors along with Weabjoy and Brightouch.
Shimini leaped quickly as he swung the sword that's as large as his body.
A sharp ringing resonated within the room as Shimini's Riftbreaker hit some kind of brick wall. Shimini then follows up with a barrage of strikes but the wall still stood up strong.
I called out MLA and it flew in my hand urgently.
What was that thing that blocked Shimini's sword?
It's the Outsourced Wall that was used by Sherman. It's a move that could be used if Juan the Outsourced Worker is in your team.
What?
Suddenly, the ceiling gave in as dust scattered around the room as if a wrecking ball landed on top of the roof. It looked like the house could collapse any moment.
I called Shimini back to run away before picking up the poor injured Ena. We jumped through the window, breaking it as we landed on my backyard. My soul begged for death as the pain on my legs intensified.
Then, most of the house broke down except for the hallway as I can see Camille still on his knees, having a Heroic BSOD.
But putting that aside, it seems that Team Triumph had some scary trump cards within their hands. They had summoned a M4 Sherman tank out of nowhere and also an entire squad of WWII soldiers armed with Garand rifles.

I can see the Triumph trio enter the tank but before minding that, I'm in a deep trouble, aren't I?
MLA, they have too much firepower! What can I do?
This is pretty much checkmate... All you can do is to pray that Team Triumph will spare your life.
There's something to be done! I just know it!
You can call out to your friend, Camille. He seems to be gathering energy over there.
Okay, I'll try... Let's hope they won't fire at me while I do that...
"Team Triumph, I know that I'm pretty much dead here!"
They seem to here me from inside the tank as Mary's head popped out of the tank.
"Yes, we know."
"Can I say my final goodbye to Camille before I die or is it the Murican spirit to shoot people without hearing them out?"
"Sure, you can do that but one wrong move and you're dead!"
"Thank you!"
Well, from the conditions, it seems that I can't directly solicit for Camille's help but let's just use the emotional farewell method...
"Camille, I know I have only known you for three years but you were a true friend for me."
He slowly looked into my direction as I can see the hesitation in his eyes.
"All the time I spent with you was quite valuable as I also spent quite much of my money but that's fine for I know you have talent in painting..."
The worst kind of sadness filled eyes, the type that forces you cry along with him. I have to finish my "final" farewell then...
"Well, it was nice to have a person that could draw a nice black and white waifu for me and also..."
Fuck, his sadness has already infected me, help me!

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.

A Wish
This is a story where there are no heroes and no villains. This is a tale about revenge, despair, and hope. This is a story where the truth is constantly hidden deep beneath the surface, and nothing is ever as it initially appears. The world is a stage. Every character has their part to play before their exit. They are actors, dancing on a stage set for them while searching for the truth behind the façade. Only time will tell whether they will be able to escape their predestined fate, to search for their happy end, or whether the promised end is nothing more than, a wish. Author's Note: Update will be very unpredictable as I travel quite a bit for my work.
