-------------
My mind.. my soul... They're tired...
Even when my body continues to move forward I’ve become exhausted mentally from years of never-ending stress...
Of course, I cannot express such emotions. The moment that some of my emotions manage to leak out, that thing cuts it off... after all a hero doesn't need to feel emotions, a hero only needs to continue marching forward, swinging his sword at Humanity's enemies.
I’m tired.
As morbid as it’d sound, I've tried to take my own life several times before...
but it keeps stopping me... Preventing me from getting what I want...My body is too tough to die and even when I’m asleep it keeps me safe from danger.
At one point I thought that after all of this I would finally be free... finally, be happy.
I had friends helping me through my journey, but even they were eventually left behind by the hero that was growing stronger every second.
The more time passes the more I realize that I’m no longer human... at least not in a conventional way.
I no longer need to sleep, eat, or even piss. My entire body has been made into a perfect machine to climb the tower...

What floor was I on again..? Three hundred? Four? I can't remember..
what I do remember is I’ve long passed the last human settlement in the tower. All that I've found are demons, and ruins of previous civilizations.
Demons... That's what the humans of this world call them- to me they just look like humans with horns and different skin, even in a fantasy world like this discrimination is still a thing.
Apparently, Demons originally lived in Gaia along with all the other races, but their king who was an all-powerful wizard tried to become a God himself made this tower with his near-limitless magical power making a pseudo alternate world.
The gods that saw this felt threatened by the king's powers that were slowly creeping up to near godlike levels and decided to stop him once and for all, banishing the king's soul to the void where nothing, not even gods could exist.
And as a warning banished the king's entire race into the tower that he made along with their empires riches.
At first, that was the purpose of the tower, a prison for the Demon race, but not long after, the Gods got bored and played cruel games with the tower's inhabitants.
They summoned unthinkable monsters that would wipe out the world outside the tower numerous times just to see the Demons cower in fear... but they didn't, they fought back the waves of monsters and grew stronger, using that new gained strength to climb the tower that they were imprisoned in... but where there’s power there’s greed, and some of the Demons decided to climb down the tower instead, eventually reaching bottom-most floor that leads to the outside world.
The moment they stepped out they met fierce resistance against the now highly religious people of Gaia that were taught from birth that the Demons were the enemy and must be eliminated... and so they fought.

This war lasted for years until the humans were pushed back into their capital cities, the demons who grew in strength due to the tower overwhelming the humans and their allies with brute strength.
Desperate, the humans prayed to their gods for help... and this is where I come in... Well, my predecessors at least.
The heroes were God's solution to the demon crisis, they would summon those with powerful souls from other worlds and bless them with tremendous strength.
Each god sent a representative to help push the demon race back to the tower, even the god of death and pestilence had one albeit being a bit twisted due to their patron’s personality
Even with their tremendous god-given strength it still took years of fighting to finally push the demons back into the tower, finally ending the decades-old war.
And now we’re here, nearly 30 years after the war where the humans have started sending heroes and adventurers into the tower to gain riches and power all under the guise of “reclaiming” lost land from the demons.
I’m sick of climbing..sick of fighting.. sick of.. people. I just want this to end...
As I say that I’m met with a giant of a man- er, demon. It looks like they've given up on sending their armies to fight me and instead decided to send in the elite to try and stop me.
Just from his horns that twisted around his head with a black luster, I could tell that he was strong... at the very least stronger than anyone I’ve faced before.
As I raise my sword I let out one more exhausted sigh... Here we go again.

I was Born the Unloved Twin
You've probably heard this sort of story before. Once upon a time, blah blah blah a boy and a girl fell love and everything was beautiful and perfect, except for this thing called life getting in their way. He was this cool foreign prince and she was basically perfect. Really it's a very boring run of the mill story. I'll even spoil it for you, they kill the villainess at the end. Not the type of story I'd read personally. So where do I fit into this?Apparently I'm her older twin sister and the very very lucky fiance to the foreign prince. You know, the dead villainess? Sucks I know. Now I get to do it all over again from the beginning.Curse my life ------ So you're somewhat interested in what this thing is about and looking to see if it's even worth reading? Let's get the worst of it out of the way first: This is a boring story, very tedious, mundane and downright just boring. It's too slow, the characters are too confusing & make possibly retarded choices. It's an isekai/reborn type Slice of Life novel that plays on the villainess noble girl trope but the MC gets no OP cheats, no magical powers, not even some satisfying face slapping or such self-fulfillment fantasy. Wow, I'm doing a terrible job advertising this thing. If you're somehow still interested, if you were ever interested how an average modern person, reborn with all their host's memories, could live out their life in this situation, mending personal relationships one step at a time, or wondered what happened in between all the time skips in other novels, maybe give Unloved Twin a try. This is an awkward novel, the pacing is slow, and there is no time skips. For some reason still, I really love this little story I'm making. Talk to me on: https://discord.gg/ARkSMFPbew

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Ephemeral World
Our story takes place in a world far different from the one we know. A world where magic reigns supreme rather than science. Majestic castles and huge walls stood mightily across the lands. The largest continent of this world has 4 major kingdoms waging war at each other, the elves that reside on the east, dwarves on the northern side, the west is inhabited by the beastkin, and humans strives to survive in the south. The warring state of this world lasted for 600 years and stopped when all the oracles of each kingdom received the same prophecy which was "Whilst the residents of this world fights one another, a great catastrophe shall engulf it. An abominable race shall arrive and shall take over this world". And thus, the kingdoms agreed and joined forces with each other to protect this world. The catastrophe arrived, the great war of the alliance against the abominable race which they called Epivious commenced. The war lasted for many years, countless lives were taken. With the alliance at a disadvantage, they decided to summon heroes from different worlds to help them.
