Darcy had placed Alex into his bed and placed a warm cloth on his head. Darcy paced back and forth across the living room for a while. He had seen this once before, but it had been many years when she was still here.
“Those yellow eyes…no, golden eyes.” Darcy whispered to himself. He fell into his chair next to the fire. The warmth and glow kept Darcy fixated on his thoughts.
I know I’ve seen that once before. But where?
….when?
Darcy thought all night. Trying to remember where he had seen or heard of this golden eyed phenomenon.
He fell asleep from exhaustion and stress long before he could find his. His son continued to on in his deep sleep.
