《Observations of the Nameless》Snow

I couldn’t go to the overpass today, or rather I didn’t really want to. It’s been snowing for a while now as I sit far above the intersection I’ve grown accustomed to. Small droplets of water drip down the window, the snow not even getting the chance to stick before melting.

I guess nobody really wanted to go outside today, I can only spot a few people desperately trying to weather the storm. Yet the fluorescent displays never cease to advertise. I wonder, if an ad plays in a winter storm and nobody is there to witness it, does it truly exist? Well, that’s a dumb question, of course it exists. There’s always somebody to advertise to whether they know it or not.

Everything has a purpose now that I think about it. The snow falls to signal the drop in temperature and herald a bleak atmosphere for all observers. Ads are almost as constant as time and death; people will always be selling things and others will always be buying the things that are sold.

I’ve never been much into buying things though. Not really a fan of things that have been sold. The processes leave it tainted; I don’t want that to affect me. Granted, that doesn’t seem to stop everybody else…
