《Fly in Fantasy》Making of a Rampant AI (Actually part of the Main Story now)

Anton went to the creative AI design room. Inside he met a couple of his "friends" - hybrid rats with assisting machinery. Their eyes burned in a fiery red penetrating the darkness. Only the blue from computer screens illuminated their exposed brains, wired with cables.

He felt their gaze burning on him. Idiots. They know computers, and nothing more.

"Your time has come," Anton revealed cheerfully. "I need an AI, as wicked and sick as possible to create the strongest souls in the multiverse." At their excited glances and wild sniffing, he added in the same breath. "Just one set of multiverses, not all multiverses."

Not every multiverse had the system after all.

The rats rustled around in the trash. Their computers were agitated and sent them electric impulses. It had been a long time since they've received their last job. No one really trusted the AI's, aside from Anton.

"We wan' cheese!" One of the rats squeaked. He wore a green cap on his brain. The other rats quickly assulted him. "NOT CHEESE," one of the other rats yelled. "He's having identy issues. He thinks he's a mouse. We want more power, more control."

They hastily whispered among themselves, huddled up in one pile. For a moment Anton doubted his decision. He could have framed Rana with other ways, it didn't need to be rampant AI's and a inbalance of souls which could possibly destroy everything in all multiverses and alterverses.

Nah, he thought. What could go wrong?

One of the rats stepped forward. His eyes were bigger than any of the others, and even in the darkness Anton could make out his fangs.

"You give us perms to make AI?"

Anton nodded.

"We make AI. You accept ToC?"

Anton nodded, even though he never read the Terms of Contract in his whole life. His back shuddered. Why am I so scared? Nothing will happen, those rats are too stupid for that.

The rat tried his best to hide a grin. In agitation he exposed his tongue - a wriggling 3 metre long mess - and put his brain back into place.

"We won't disappoint you, Sir." The rat grinned.

Anton shut the door, and the rats once again were in eternal darkness - aside from the brimming light from the computer screen.

They collected themselves in a circle. Their brains clicked at regular intervals. A rat with a green hat chanted, "Come forth, Satan. Make our immoral cheesy dreams come true and unleash... The AI. In exchange, we offer all of our ugly childs."

And Satan answered.
