Chapter 1: Wrong City?!
Nice to meet you. My name is Yarou Kansouke. Equipped with only my mundane looking face and villager clothes, I traveled on a horse carriage from my little village of Miyagi. Produced by a humble family of farmers, I was taught farming myself at a very young age.
I’m that normal.
I picked up a wooden sword when I was young but since there wasn't anybody around to teach me the basics, I hadn’t gotten that far when it came to swordsmanship. Or did I even made any progress at all?
So what am I doing here?
Eight years ago, I met a beautiful lady that somehow drastically changed my view in life. We did many things that would be deemed abnormal with a ten year old, and in a course of a single night to boot!
Because of that, I fell in love. In love with a mysterious girl that disappeared from my sight and never to appear again. There was but a day that passed that I hadn’t thought of her.
Back in topic…
Facing the bustling populace in front me, I stand bewildered. “This is not Regulus!!”
From what I can gather on the signboard hanging on top of that stone wall, this town is called Zarc?
I should have known!! Taking a carriage that should’ve lasted for months while this one only traveled for a mere seven days! I’ve been rigged!
“Oi! Old man!!” As soon as I turn around to question the driver himself, only a cloud of dust is left behind. The carriage that I traveled on abandoned me. “Oh damn… I guess it’s my fault too for wearing that dumb face.”
Pulling myself together, I walk around and search for the Adventurer’s Guild.
I was told that if something went wrong with my travels, head to the guild and they’ll guide you from over there. The guild must be full of kind people then. Maybe they’ll even have a cute receptionist?

“Hehehe…” Thinking about such possibilities, I couldn’t contain the smile and laughter that came from within me.
The town is busy with its hustle and bustle, and the scent of delicious food wafts in the air. A wide variety of stalls are lined up next to each other and various merchants are already busy raking a profit. Haggling housewives, adventurer’s fighting for discounts — it’s a town brimming with life. My aimless walk eventually drag my legs in front of a humongous building.
There’s a flag hanging on the side of the door and the banner looks like a portrait of a religious sect. Curious, I open the arch wooden door and make my way inside.
“Hmm…… A lot rougher than I had imagined.”
It’s a huge interior and many people, young and spirited, are gathered in groups. There’s a few veterans that I immediately spot because of the stern look on their faces and the unfriendly aura that surrounds them. Further in the back looks like an office desk with a receptionist, greeting everybody who came through the front door.
A cheerful beauty, who’s probably on her mid twenties, greets me. “Hai Hai!! Welcome to the Adventurers guild!” Her clear voice that echoed throughout the building directs everyone’s attention to myself.
“““Country bumpkin.”””
Oh please, stop it with the judging gazes majority. Is it because of my clothes or is it because of this cow lick? Nonetheless, I disregard their loathsome glances and head straight towards the beautiful lady.
“What is your purpose in the guild today?” she asks with a smile that outshined the sun.
“I’d like to sign up.”
Since the only money left in my pocket are just a few copper coins, it isn’t enough to travel back on a carriage. Heck, I’m not even sure if twelve copper coins are enough for a single night in the inn. So my only choice right now is to earn some money. Besides, such a simple slump on my journey will not stop the current me. I guess when it comes to it, my only saving face is my positive attitude.

“Sure, once you completed a quest that we assigned you to do, your registration will be complete. After you’ve officially signed up, you’re free to use the guild services, such as accepting a listed task, on your own.”
A prerequisite requirement, huh? I should’ve known. Real life is not that easy.
“Alright, please tell me the requirements.”
The receptionist girl hands me a single sheet of paper and a feather pen for me to use.
“Just fill up the blank lines and you’re all set.”
Following her instructions I write my name, my birthplace, and my race. Once done, I hand her the paper back.
“So… Yarou Kansouke, is it? Here’s your temporary guild card. After you successfully completed that quest, we’ll grant you a new one. Do you need me to explain anything else?”
Taking the guild card from her hands, I lightly shake my head.
“Then please come back once you’ve hunted five goblins. Bringing back their ears is enough. The safest place to hunt goblins is probably the forest northeast of town.”
“Wait… you want me to hunt monsters?!”
“Yes, is there any problem with that?”
Holy… I didn’t expect this outcome at least. How could I even start hunting monsters if I don’t even have as much as a knife? Damn. Forget it. Nothing will come by arguing with myself.
“None. Thank you very much for your help.”
“Good luck~” Seeing my uneasy expression, the receptionist lady beams me a huge smile.
I got anxious after all. Damn, for her to notice my uncool side. I reply back with a smile of my own, and the receptionist lady just giggles. Even her giggle is Godsend!
“Hey you!” Just when I’m about to walk away, the sweet voice of a woman rings inside my ears.
When I turn my head to inquire, over there is a voluptuous beauty.
Even though this is not the capital, the city is still awesome!
“What’s your name?” she asks in a commanding tone that sure gets me excited.
My eyes are fixated on her dress that’s packed with two gigantic watermelons! She looks like the strong willed type, not that I mind.
“Yarou Kansouke, and you are?”
“Kansouke, eh? I’m Remilda. Just call me Remi. From what I gather, you’re in a bit of a pinch here, am I right?”
“Unfortunately so, that seems to be the case.”
“I wouldn’t mind helping you, if you’d like. However…“ She shoots me gaze as if she was undressing me. Squinting her bold eyes, she looks at me from head to toe. Like she’s sizing my worth. Once she’s done with her inspection, she continues, “You’re gonna need to help me first with a simple request of mine. How about it? Interested?”
“I agree!” I take her hands and joyfully shake them. “Let us depart immediately!”
She could only be talking about that right? That’s the only logical conclusion, am I right?
“Fufu.. let’s see how long that enthusiasm last.”
I follow behind her back with my eyes glued on her butt. Maaan… the city sure is awesome!

Searcher
I was just like everyone else. At least, I thought so. Everyone grew up in a mansion with servants, trained to be a debutante, had a traveling archeologist for a father, and gave it all up to do whatever the hell they wanted. Right? Well that’s what I did. I was happy. As happy as a single twenty four year old girl can be living in an apartment selling shit online to pay the bills. Not actual shit, that's gross. No, I bought stuff from garage sales, thrift stores, and junk shops, and resold it in my online store. I was pretty good at finding stuff to peddle to my customers. I made rent every month and didn’t have to strip. I’m a bit too chunky to swing around a pole anyway. Life was great! Until two sexy men broke into my apartment and woke me up from the most erotic dream my sexually depraved mind could come up with. One was between my legs, the other was... Oh well, it was a dream and I didn’t even get to finish it. Those bastards! Now I’m supposed to believe my dead father wasn’t an archeologist, but some kind of paranormal agent working for a secret organization called The Guard. My ability to find items for my customers is just a perk inherited from him. And I’m supposed to use my inherited powers to save the world. All while these hunks of man flesh guard me from other paranormals out to get whatever the hell they think I have. A certain body part is dripping with excitement, literally. But my mind is saying “Hell No!”

OutRage: Total Realism.
What happens when a game company strives for total immersion and realism from a VRMMO?Players require food, sleep, personal hygeine, air to breathe and everything else required for life. The up side is that its still a game, Players respawn, can use magic, can basically do anything they want with obvious exceptions like: not going to prison for assassinating a ruling monarch, not that you cant do it only that its very hard to do.In comes our protagonist a university student majoring in the sciences, namely chemistry. His name is Henry Jacobs, 19 years old and a complete loner.A new VRMMO game was annouced and it bragged and boasted about how it would be the first in a new era of VR gaming as it would give the game a total of 100% realism, meaning when you get hit it hurts, when you walk into a dungeon full of zombies it will stink as you'd expect like rottting corpses. This game is titled Outrage: Total Realism. Which was a joke made by the publishers knowing how most people would be either excited or enraged.
