《My Cerberus Girlfriend》Book One: Chapter 29

Medusa sat at the back of the boat while Lewis drove it across the bay. After speeding beneath the golden gate bridge, they reached the open sea.
Medusa looked around at the ocean and slowly curled her dark green lips up. “Stop right here.”
Lewis pulled the lever down, and the boat slowed down until it drifted to a stop.
The open sea was the perfect spot to begin Cetus’s resurrection. No ships sailed around and no rocks stood in her path. However, lightning flashed around in the dark clouds above her, and the stiff wind chilled through her snakes on her head. Little sprinkles fell from the sky, and the water rocked the boat. No matter what, nothing will stop Medusa from releasing the Cetus.
“Is this area good?” Lewis asked.
“It will be before the storm gets worse.” Medusa pulled out the small head of Cetus and stared at it. “Judgement day has now come for this world.”
She bit the tip of her index finger and drew symbols on the stone head with her blood. Each symbol was a circle and squabby lines around them, but each one was a resurrection spell that required good writing. The rain wasn’t too strong to wash the spell off the head.
After she finished, Medusa held the stone head over the water and closed her eyes. She mumbled the spell in her ancient tongue. “Cetus O magne, conjuro te a mundo viventium ad cisternam veterem: dicemusque ad inferos. Sententialiter punire, et hoc mundo repetere, qui deum vobis!”
She opened her eyes and watched the symbols glow red around the stone. It warmed on the palms of her hands, and a soft growling voice whispered from the stone.
He is coming….. Medusa dropped the stone into the water. Its red glow faded as the stone sunk into the black bottom of the sea.

There should be enough space below for him to grow out. After all, the sea was enormous enough for giants to swim around.
Lews approached her and looked down. “How long will it take?”
Below the boat, a bubble floated up and popped on the surface.
Medusa smiled. “Not for long.”
Another bubble surfaced, and another, and another. It seemed like the water was boiling below the boat.
Medusa turned to Lewis. “Quickly! Move us away from this spot!”
The golem dashed to the steering wheel and pulled the lever forward. The boat roared from the bubbling spot.
About one mile from the spot, Lewis stopped the boat and looked back. “Are we clear?”
Medusa annoyed him, keeping her eyes on the ocean.
The water kept bubbling until it exploded, then a giant figure rose from the water surface. It looked like it was growing or rising from the depths.
About three hundred feet tall, the male sea monster rose toward the raining gray sky with a massive fish head, two muscular arms, and covered in thick scales. A fishtail rose behind him, and he roared at the sky. So loud, his monstrous vocal cord rocked the entire sea.
Medusa raised her arms and cheered. “Yes! Yes! The Mighty Cetus is back!”
Lightning flashed around the giant creature, and the rain fell harder, making him appear like a shadow. The Cetus turned toward the golden gate bridge and marched toward it. He was so big, his feet walked across the ocean floor while his upper body stood over the water.
He stopped close to the bridge and raised his right arm up. He raised it higher and higher and slammed his hand through the bridge, chopped it in half.
The entire center of the bridge splashed into the water. Cars, debris, and screaming people fell to their deaths below the monster’s feet. Then he marched forward through the bridge as if the deaths he caused were nothing.
Witnessing his first attack gave Medusa a big smile. Too much excitement boiled through her veins.
“Should we follow it?” Lewis asked.
Medusa nodded. “Yes. I want to watch it destroy that city. If the gods don’t come, all their precious humans will die.”

Letters from Shanti Ashram, India
I lived in India from 1984-2005, and wrote to my parents regularly about my adventures in Indian ashrams. From 1984-1993 and again 2001-2005, I was living in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and I am adding all of those my "Letters from India" book, which will mainly be of interest to those familiar with Prasanthi Nilayam, the ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. However, from 1994-2001 I was staying at a wonderfully spiritual, quiet retreat called Shanti Ashram, and I am putting the letters I wrote to my parents while staying there, on this book. The ashram was a dream come true for sadhana. The people are welcoming, it is usually never crowded, and they offer separate cottages to aspirants. The rates are donation basis only.
