I’m inside the Fortress West Gate now. The people that just arrived were apparently the guys from the Bandits we exterminated. The guy with the reliable aura who I asked why the people were crying seems to be the leader of the Adventurer Party that was imprisoned with the others.

My decision seems to be correct, as they got out of the forest without any issue.

The leader, his name was Lan, said to me that they just got out some great predicament and the people was just happy to come back alive.

He was with his party. One was a big guy with a shield and mace, the other one has dual short swords and the last one was a sexy woman with a crossbow and knife.

I was waiting for them to finish. Their situation seemed important, so I just let them go first. It would also help me get inside without any worries.

After they finished, I can finally enter without any issue. The guard that was talking with the Party Leader approached me when it was my turn. I then entered the guardhouse.

“Do you have any Identification?”

Well, that should be obvious that I have none.

“I have none. I’m new to the fortress and I’ve just started travelling. Can I get my identity registered here?”

“Yeah, just go to Citizenship Office, but it looks like you have some strength with you. I suggest that you register to the Adventurers, Mercenaries or Hunters Guild. You can register as a soldier, but it requires background check, so it takes time. You just have to deposit a Silver Coin here first to enter. I know it’s kinda expensive, but after you got your identity registered, you can always get it back.”

Well. My equipment sure is good, as it can handle the monsters inside the Pighead Forest.

“Alright, I got it. Here’s a Silver Coin. Do I just have to write my name here?”

“Yes, also infuse your thumb with Mana, and stamp it here.”

Wow~, as expected from a fantasy world. I then collected the smallest bit of Mana I can and infused it to my thumb. All of that practice was really paid just for this~.

“Okay, here’s it. Is all good?”

“You’ve got a good amount of Mana here, huh? You should be a Mage…. Okay, that’s all. Just take this thumb copy with you. After you got registered, get back here to get your Silver Coin again, Alright?”

Now then, this part was where it was kinda funny. The currency system of the world of [Fantashiem] is actually the same here in ‘Atoria’. The currency in [Fantashiem], or should I say, the Game [Fantasy End], have no physical form. It has illustrations on what it might look like, but there’s no physical exchange of money. All transaction was done through the use of [Game System], and the currency shows as an Item in the [Inventory], but that’s all. We can just use it to buy and sell out things.

The currency of ‘Atoria’ is very similar to what I have. Ever since I came here, the currency in the [Inventory] finally had a physical form that I can actually touch and use. And what do you know? I’m overflowing with it, because I have the same amount I had in the game.

The currencies are divided by Stone Coin (1), Iron Coin (10), Copper Coin (100), Silver Coin (1,000), Gold Coin (10,000), Platinum Coin (100,000), and Diamond Coin (1,000,000).

And the currency I have is at least a total of 2,118,980,680. Talk about being overwhelmingly rich.

And it was the same here, as long as the mineral used is the same, it doesn’t matter if it’s created from a different continent. You can use it. That’s why the currency I have can be used here.

Well, I’m not complaining. Not that I really care how their economics works, as long as it’s convenient for me, all’s good.

“Yeah, I got it! Welcome to the Monmouth Fortress City! The Fortress Defense the Kingdom Of Avalon has, to protect us from the mouth of Monsters in the West!”

Ohhh!~ The fortress name had this cool background? It faces the Ancient Kingdom of Alandal just past the Pighead Forest and Wyvern’s Valley, so I guess it really is a Defense to stop the Monsters from that direction.

“Yeah! I’ll enjoy this place. See you later!”

I then entered the Gate, officially!

“Wow~, it really is a fantasy world”

“You saw this the second time now. And what fantasy world are you talking about?”

Messiah said telepathically, again.

“Right, Wendy?~ Let’s enjoy the city first!”

“Just make sure to gather good information with this exploration.”

“Yes, yes. I got it. Let’s go!”

We then explored the Monmouth Fortress a little bit. There was a lot of Races here. Aside from the humans, there’s a lot of Demi-humans and small bit of number from the Fairy Races, but they’re still noticeably common to see. There’s some from the Demon Race, but very scarce.

The landscape if great and the Fortress City are moderately vast. You can explore it for a whole day.

I’ve memorized the locations of relevant places. There are also the places that I needed to take note of, such as the Lords Mansion, Noble District and the Slums.

And of course, the taste of local delicacies and street stalls are a must! Well, I ate a fair amount, but I want to leave some for future strolling.

Of course, along with the exploration, is the information gathering. I collected a fair amount that can make me familiarized with the current happenings in the fortress. There’s also the humor of this kidnapping incident that’s being close to being solved.

After strolling, when the sun is about to set, I finally decided on which Inn I’ll be accommodating myself.

I then entered the Inn. It has a typical Bar/Restaurant for the ground floor, and the 2nd and 3rd floor are rooms for the guest. I was faced with a beautiful, plump woman in her 30s in the counter.

“I’ve heard from Carol that you will be staying for a night?”

“Yes. I will also have dinner before going to bed.”

“Okay, that would be 2 Copper Coins and 5 Iron Coins for the room, and 5 Iron Coins for the dinner, a total of 3 Copper Coins.”

“Here’s 3 Copper Coins. The name of the Cat Demi-human was Carol, right? She’s cute~. Is she a poster girl of this inn?”

“Oyah? You also fall in loved for my daughter? My, Carol sure is a sinful girl~”

“She’s your daughter? Mrs. Inn owner is human though.”

“My name’s Bridgette, but you can just call me Auntie Bridg. Carol takes her Race from her father’s side. My husband’s in the kitchen now. He’s a Cat Demi-Human.”

“Is that so? Sorry for asking some personal questions.”

“It’s alright~. Here’s the key, your room’s the door numbered 204. Carol!~ guide our guest to his room.”

“Haha, thanks. You can just call me Carlos, Auntie Bridg. I’ll come down here later for dinner.”

“Alright, I got it. Have a good rest. Take your Big brother Carlos now, Carol.”

And Carol just rushed back to the ground floor. It must be pretty busy.

Just to explain the concept of time here. It has the same number of hours a day compared to Earth. Clocks do exist here, but not all people have one in possession. There’s a large clock tower in this fortress, and there’s a bell ringing every 3 hours starting from 6 am. So the time of dinner, which is the 6th bell is actually 9 pm.

Also for the week, Atoria only have 6 days a week. This is divided by the Day of Fire, Day of Water, Day of Wind, Day of Earth, Day of Light, and Day of Darkness. This means, for a month, Atoria has 5 weeks in it.

For a year, there’s 12 months, for a total of 360 days for a full year. 1 season is occupying a full 3 months starting with spring.

The date now is the Era of harmony: Year 503, 2nd month of summer, Day of Water.

“Wow~, being in a place filled with your own people really made the loneliness of that long journey disappear.”

I was able to relax now, and collect all the information we compiled within this long journey of ours.

In the game [Fantasy End], the concept of level in numerical value should be obvious, but here, my level only showed in Stats ranking.

If you have noticed, the concept of level disappeared when I arrived here in Atoria. I don’t really get it, but the biggest reason might be that the concept of level is different here, or that it doesn’t exist at all. The Stats ranking is the only way to tell the difference. But it has a very large gap to use as a reference for improvements. Here’s how the Game System works for Stat ranking:

Also, one thing to notice is that upon arriving here in Atoria, The Stat [Luck] and [Charm] was completely removed. These stats are commonly used for effect percentage, such as higher chance of getting good loot or higher chance of taming a [Magic Creature]. Maybe this concept also doesn’t exist here in Atoria.

I need to have Messiah get more authority on the ‘Records’ of Atoria, if I want to have this mysteries solved.

After contemplating and reviewing other information we have, the 6th bell ringed. It was time for dinner.

“I guess that’s all for now. Let’s register as an Adventurer tomorrow, too. Maybe if we get registered, we’ll get connected to the Information ‘Records’ of Atoria.”

“We had quite some number of information. This will definitely help us for now. Let’s do your plan tomorrow, Young One. I have this feeling that the system the Races have now is largely connected to the ‘Records’ of Atoria.”
