"You've gotta be kidding right?" The Angel I've always loved and adore is now looking at me like some dirt on the road.
"No you heard me right,We're breaking up" She didn't spare me a glance.
"Is this because that Michael said he loves you?" That Michael has always been a pain in my ass.
"Yes" She immediately said yes, she even had a look of reverence and infatuation.
"But we've been together for so long" I tried to remind her of the thousands of years we've been together.
"That's it, We've been together for so long and now I've grown tired of you" My heart broke into two even though I didnt have one
And just like that she left me...something I've built up for years vanished just like that...I'm a fucking reaper, I've reaped billions of souls over the decades and never felt anything from it but when she left me it felt like everything just didn't matter anymore.

I cut open a portal with my scythe and go back to the spirit realm, there stood a young man age between 25-27 wondering about like an idiot.
"where am I?" he mumbled to himself
"Kid you're in the underworld" I'm too pissed off to even properly introduce the underworld to him.
He turned around to face me and his face froze,typical reaction but he quickly recovered, but it didn't take much of a genius to figure out what he was thinking.
"yes kid, I'm the reaper here to take your soul......hey ain't you afraid?" This kid wasn't fazed or scared by my appearance

I'm starting to doubt my ability to scare people...wait did Jack put make up on my face again?
"no, not really" He answered with a straight face
"huh interesting, hey kid got any regrets?" by now the people I reaped would be using their regrets as a reason to get back to the world of the living
"hmm..regrets huh well i never really got to erase my uhm collection from my PC and I never got revenge on that bitch and that rich asshole" he had an aggrieved look

I used my ability and watched what happened to his life, man seriously sending your sex video to your ex? that's just messed up, but I once again used my ability to watch the future's of the cheating couple and found out that due to the guy being too horny, had hired many prostitutes and unluckily banged 1 that had AIDS and afterwards banged this kid's ex..
But I accidentaly saw something I shouldn't have, this kid... we'll be spending a lot of time together in the future. Looks like my fate is intertwined with his. ok I have to make a good first impression
Then I had an Idea,I was in an urgent need for a drinking buddy why not make a deal with this kid, if you consider or situations you can say that we are brothers... well here goes nothing I'm pretty sure he's going to accept my offer. wont you now...Partner?

The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
