Chapter 3
Sensing that my mother woke up I followed suit, opening my eyes what greated me is a gentle smile.
-Did you have sweet dreams my child?(Elanora)
-I don't remember, and I don't care, when I am this blessed I don't need escape into dreams or illusions to fake happiness.(Airi)
Perhaps that would have been the case in my previous life, but with this healthy body and warmth next to me that won't happen.
-What a cute child.(Elanora)
Laughing mother gave me a kiss to my forehead. standing we started mooving to the river to wash ourselves but suddenly.
GRRRRRRRR
turning around I saw a creature I never saw before. 2 Meters long, 4 wide,It looked like a dog but had three heads red eyes and teethes as sharp as knifes.
Seeing the creature mother didn't flinch at all, she looked a it as if it was a pebble on the road, but what surprised me was that even I didn't give this creature too much thought.
Suddenly I sensed a warm feeling in my body, I felt my blood boiling and then I was engulfed in silver aura that won't loose to what mother showed me yesterday, and then white fur appeared on my hands reaching my elbows and my feet reaching a little above my ankles my nails transformed becoming sharp and long.
I felt power surging from my body, there is no other way to describe this feeling...my senses got sharper and the world seemed slow...too slow. The leaves moving with the wind looked like they didn't move at all...
Every thing disappeared, in this world only my pray existed. Even thought I can still feel life miles around me, like the birds, a squirrel, and even some things that have the same kind of strong presence as the dog...But the strongest presence by far is still mother and me. It's like we are a sun while everything else is not even comparable to a star...

Looking at the dog, he was trembling looking at me terrified, he even peed on himself and didn't move...or perhaps couldn't move.
Listening to my instincts, I opened my legs retracting them, my left hand on the grassy field, my right arm retracted diagonally to my waist. I looked at the pitiful creature for a moment...
-GRWARRRRRRRRRRRRR(Airi)
letting out an earth shaking cute...roar I pounced at the dog with all my strength, just like a tiger...but I shouldn't have done that...
Let me explain, at first everything proceeded well, if we can say that a 5 years old cute girl pouncing at a speed beyond what the eyes can see piercing a dog's head with her claws making it's entire body explode as predicted, then it is as predicted...
But what was not predicted is a little girl died red with blood not stopping after killing her prey colliding into trees chattering them and stopping one kilometer away leaving a wasteland behind her...
Yeah that wasn't expected...
_______________
Looking around in a daze at havoc I created, I sensed the presence of my mother approaching rapidly, turning around a huge white tiger, I knew it was mother...
-Mother...what happened to me?(Airi)
I asked her still dazed by the events.
-Don't worry my child, it's just your power awakening,or more precisely you used your instinct to activate it since you awakened your power the moment I baptized you. But still such power only relying on your phisique...incridible.(Elanora)
Mother looked astonished for some reason and mumbled the last part talking to herself even thought I heard her.
-this is my power?(Airi)
I didn't feel anything killing the dog, I felt like it was natural for the strong to survive while the weak die, I can't explain it correctly but it felt like this is already part of my nature...But I didn't imagine I would have done this...

-Airi this world is not like your previous world, I think you already understood that here it's the survival of the strongest, not only in this jungle but even outside war is part of everyday life, that is also a part of why I gave you made you into a white tiger, because even if your body was healthy you can't survive and grab your destiny by yourself in this world.(Elanora)
Hearing mother say this I was once again grateful to her, I ran and jumped on her back trying to wrap my petite hands around her big neck.
-I love you mother.(Airi)
-I also love you my child.(Elanora)
Said mother softly with her terrifying voice when she is in her tiger form, but I Don't care, no matter she is still my mother.
-But for now we should train you to control this power, or else this entire forest will disappear someday.(Elanora)
Said mother half joking...the other half, could be explained by the sweat on our forehead...

Journeys in the Fairworld: The Gatekeeper
Lindsey Fluger was only slightly past eighteen. There was nothing particularly special about her, save that she happened to be the right person at the right time. When Lindsey is asked to join an expedition to another world she makes the mistake of saying yes, plunging herself into a sea of perilous adventure and dark intrigue. Journeys in the Fairworld is a fantasy anthology series set in The Fairworld, a magical realm existing in parallel with our own world which is governed by a group elfin beings known only as “The Good Folk”. These mysterious entities work in secret to keep the peace between the myriad of peoples and nations which dwell in The Fairworld. Complex relationships and bitter rivalries emerge against a backdrop of constrained resources and conflicting values to produce a world of high adventure and tangled mysteries. This novel is technically already completed, and I am currently in the final stages of proofing or editing. As such, there may be a few typos and errors here and there. The final version should be about 130,000 words long, which I will be releasing in stages as I continue editing. I'd love to hear your feedback and comments! 8 334The Plan
An infinite world couldn’t be real, but if it was, well this would happen. Imagine a world that isn’t covered in water, but an endless atmosphere. Plates of land, named “islands”, float and drift almost aimlessly. There is no sun, stars, roof, or floor; just boundless air in every direction. Light is generated from the movement of air flow. Magical and mystical powers keep islands floating and the world full of fresh entropy. Some of these floating islands drift upwards or downwards or any combination of volatile or patterned velocities. Air flow also follows the same characteristics of islands, which generates the light and heat. In a world with no horizon, the different inhabitants struggle. Beings calling them selves deities across the endless space are countless. If you were to fall off an island, you would inevitably hit another island; if you didn’t die from old age first. Many inhabitants don’t know the land further than their own eye sight or town they grew up in. Almost all inhabitants of islands have supernatural abilities, ranging in ability and skill. Magical abilities are kept individually; and mystical powers are borrowed. Islands float because the land is enchanted by either a magical or mystical crystal. Magical islands are known for vertical variance, while mystical islands are known for vertical stability. The islands rotate around focal points, known as 'the center'. There are many 'the center', but no one knows this yet... Warning: Tagged Mature 18+ for Strong Language, Gore, Violence, and sexual scenes. Google Drive (Click here to open new window) WIP/spoilers
