Don't you think this is really too early what the actual fuck?
"Hey, Af- I mean brother? Don't you think this is a little too early after only one match?"
"Ooh err..thats up for debate, yer de only one round here that can spar with me and agrees to spar with me.
No guard can or civilian for that matter matches up to yer big bro here! So most of them die.
And people who ARE strong enough are fuckin pussies! Like dose King Guards..fuckers
Plus!"
Afif tightened his arm that was around Tremis' neck. It wasn't with the intent to kill but it was as if he was about to say something that may end up with the same result, Tremis dead. Tremis felt the strength in the arm that could easily kill him with a simple flick of the wrist.
I wonder if I can die, im not willing to find out.
Although I am not human at this point in time, im simply made of.. devour energy? Wait now im willing to try but if I die, gone, shablamo. If I am just made of energy then I have an idea for some skills.
"Yer gunna receive sum training lil bro! I know yer didn’t wanna unleash all your strength in that handshake so yer gunna have to learn some control!"
Fuck
"Speaking of handshake, what are yer doin in Stultus Oppidum? I almost forgot yer were a complete stranger."
Afif removed his hand from Tremis neck and started to rub the back of his head while laughing in an embarrassing fashion. It seemed he realized he dragged a random person from outside who was being denied access to the Kingdom to spar.
"Oh I was here just to check out this place, I don't really know much about the outside world now. In this case im pretty confused about today’s customs in society."

"Trained by a master in der mountains again eh?"
"Yes..wait how did you know?"
"Deres been bunch of young fellers coming around saying that shit."
"Could’ve fucking guessed!"
Tremis chuckled as he realized that what the system had said was true. The Gods really did summon some young kids who were easily manipulated to do their bidding. He read enough novels to know how these Gods guided these children to be reborn or transmigrated into different worlds, wanting them to do what is "right". All of them being goody-two-shoes and helping whoever they can and building a harem that makes no fucking sense.
I might have a harem though, well more like sex slaves but that’s still a harem, agree with me on that voices in my head!
"Well, te get around you’ll need an ID. Since you seem to not have one, follow me into the city. Normally you would be escorted by the guards but let ya big bro handle this."
Afif started to walk out the barracks and into the Kingdom with Tremis quickly following behind. There shops and stalls of plenty. It was almost a little too noisy but Afif told him that when you just enter the Kingdom is the shopping district, the home district is a little way away so people would be marketing their product like crazy.
After a few minutes of walking and conversing they made it to a shop with 'ID Station" written on the sign hanging from the roof. Tremis really didn't know why they walked when they probably could reach here in a few seconds so he asked. Afif told him that it's a law inside the Kingdom to control your speed and strength unless you are given permission by the owner of the land or in the guard’s case, catching a criminal. The King himself had even told Afif that he and anyone associated with him must at ALL times keep their power in control or he himself would deal with them.

After their conversation ended they walked into the ID Station. When inside it looked exactly like a local DMV, with 5 booths straight ahead with floating numbers on top of the labelling which one they were. There was a woman holding her child appearing to wait for her turn or something then there were about 10 various sizes of men and women waiting as well. One was especially buff and bent down to fit inside the whole building and he obviously didn't like it one bit.
What the hell is buffer Arnold Schwarzenegger doing getting an ID?
Afif walked straight up to Booth 3 and talked to the person who was wearing a black three-piece suit. She was smiling a little too much so you could easily tell it was exaggerated.
"Ey dere sweetcheeks, tell Chris im in ey?"
"Oh yes right away Mr. Jaegar, I will notify Mr. Ingram."
She proceeded to get out the door on the side of the booth and walked into a door that was on the left side of the wall. After a few seconds she came out and walked in front of Tremis and Afif.
"Mr. Ingram will see you now." as she moved her hand to the door.
"Ahaha, cmon lil bro lets go inside! We need to get your ID quick before the King hears about this." Afif went up to the door opening it for Tremis as he walked in then slamming the door shut behind them.
In front of them was a simple oak desk with a 'magic orb' resonating purple. Behind the desk sitting down was a man in a grey mage robe with the hood on. As he saw the two of them enter he took it off revealing the surprisingly young face for what Tremis was told a 38-year-old man who even had a daughter and wife.
He had long black hair that was going to the floor that he probably hasn't cut in decades. He was obviously a little tired with little bags under his eyes.
"Hey Afif my friend!"
"Ey was goin on Chris! How’s the wife and kid?"
"Ahh my wife’s doing good, but I don't know about Fae. She has been gone from the mission for about a week now. I told her to stay away from that Danny kid."
"Well let kids be kids right? Haha anyway, I have my lil bro er tryin to get his ID, he’s new round here."
"Lil bro?'
"It’s complicated aright? I’ll tell after some lunch, on you course."
"Of course. Anyway just sit down right here."
Tremis sat down on the right seat while Afif stayed standing.
"Alright let's start. Name?"
"Tremis Stuarts"
"Age?"
Fuck..
"20 years of age"
“Alright."
"Date of birth?"
"Don't know."
"That's weird. Normally I will have people arrested for saying shit like that but I’ll cut you some slack since you are related to Afif. Got a lot of kids coming around not knowing shit about themselves.”
Christopher took out a metal plate with 'TEMPORARY ID' carved into it, well it had to be but it was so precise that it was probably magic.
"Take this. Use this while I make your pass, it should take up to 3 days but ill tell Afif if it is done beforehand."
"Thanks."
"No problem, you are apparently his little brother so you are my friend as well."
Afif opened the door and waved to Christopher then closing it when Tremis and him left.
"Time for training!"

Adagio of the Enlightened
The Elders will tell you the stories and lore. Of our ancestors, their deeds, and of the foes of yore. They will praise to you the chariot, and how it flew to the stars. How it stole the sun's light and slew the night’s roar. The Shamans will tell you the tales of their wisdom. Their wars on schism, and the unlettered world of ours before. Perhaps they will sing you the songs of what our clans' ancient customs tore. Poems of how our ancestors took what the discs had offered them, the manna and the mundane, and made it more. The kings will tell you of the follies, the sins, and the anecdotes of all our ancestors' wrongs. They will curse to you their names, the Ender of Fate and the Ruined Song. How they had dug up the hearts of the discs, euchred its relics, and blasphemed its prophecies, with oracles withdrawn. But they will only tell you the legends, recount the myths, and sing the allegories washed ashore. The Elders, the Shamans, and the kings can only retell what the storytellers of their own time had voiced. What they have read in books or heard in the minstrels' songs they adore. They don't know what really happened. They were never there. They can't tell you how our ancestors slew the angels from the sky, and sent them back to where they belonged. How they poisoned our minds, and made our people slothful and feeble, with the reforms they had undergone. But I can.I can tell you how the Ender of Fate severed destiny's strings, weakened them, and weaved them to our feeble flesh and souls.I can tell you how the Ruined song razed the heavens with her blood-stained melody, and reshaped our hell into utopia, with the deaths she deplored.Because I was there. I can tell you the truth, with my virtue strong. ----> Disclaimer: This will be a slow-burn, character-driven, non-harem, slice-of-life web novel with cultivation and kingdom-building elements. Now Callum is forced to decide how he wants to approach the supernatural world, and how he’s going to keep himself secure when the apparatus of government is arrayed against him. Even if he wanted to live as a mage, that bridge has been thoroughly burned, and even if he wanted to live as a normal person, he is far too deep to close his eyes to what he’s seen.
