《The Quest To Devour All》Chapter 7 [Edited 18/12/19]

...
After a few minutes of walking, Tremis could see the fire as it illuminated in the night.
Right by it sat Danny with a lonely expression as he stared into the fire while polishing his now shiny longsword.
Although the thirst in Tremis turned his body in a severely chaotic state, this chaotic state of his still knew that he probably shouldn't run straight towards a man with a longsword.
Tremis' body moved around the trees until his line of sight was straight towards Danny whose back was facing him.
As Tremis' body was about to ram into Danny's back stealthily, a sudden crack could be heard as he had stepped on a tree branch that was left on the floor.
"Huh?" Danny said as he quickly turned around upon hearing the noise.
Without anything left in his arsenal that he could use to end the battle quickly, Tremis immediately activated {Ram} and started charging towards Danny.
While Tremis was charging at him Danny did not question anything at all but just placed his longsword in front of him in a defensive position.
After finishing this action Tremis appeared in front of him and directly rammed into his longsword without causing a single dent into the actual sword.
Seeing this, Danny quickly pulled his longsword back taking a step back with it then taking a step forward as he stabbed the longsword into Tremis' right shoulder.
Tremis grabbed the blade and used all his 18 strength points to pull out the longsword with the cost of causing a huge gash to appear on his left hand.
Seeing that he was in a bad situation, his consciousness tried its best to gain complete control and after trying a few times it couldn’t.
An idea suddenly flashed inside his head as the battle went on with Tremis getting repeatedly stabbed with some strikes hitting his stomach, shoulder, and even his already damaged left hand.

His consciousness tried its best and was able to gain a few seconds of control over his body as he used {Ram} causing the damaged horn already in his head to retract into his body.
The only thing is the horn didn’t grow back in his head but instead appeared in his right index finger.
After trying to regain control he started thinking of something that could be beneficial to him with a few seconds of control. {Fireball} was immediately disqualified since he was wearing what it seemed to be bronze armor.
Of course, he could just shoot the {Fireball} at his face but then Danny would be able to sense the heat and block it with his longsword since he was, in fact, a warrior if you did not notice.
The longsword also appeared to be made out of some strange metal to not be damaged by a horn that could literally chip off the bone, and magic could also be ineffective as he didn’t know this world that well so he couldn’t easily take chances.
{Ram} was his only other option but as you had seen, it didn’t do shit to the longsword but he started thinking of the description of the skill.
It only said to grow a sharp horn and rush toward the target, but never said that it will be grown on the head.
He had only made assumptions that since it was a horn, it should be grown on the head and that's where it grew but he never tried thinking about it anywhere else.
Swearing that he should always look for loopholes in a skill, he started his plan and after a few seconds, he continued to be trapped inside his mind powerless.
After {Vampire Thirst} Tremis gained control again seeing that a new weapon was its disposal it immediately started using it.

When Danny's longsword started stabbing towards him again he used his horn to quickly hit into the tip of the blade causing the sword to go to the side instead of hitting him.
Seeing that the sword was off course, Tremis' body immediately retracted his hand and took a step forward rotating his hips to the left as he sent the horn into Danny's stomach which wasn't covered by armor but a fairly weak looking chainmail.
It went straight through the chainmail and into his stomach as Danny gave a mocking grunt thinking that was all Tremis was about to do.
FIREBOLT-OH! Oops, wrong one..I mean..
"{Fireball}" the {Vampire Thirst} Tremis shouted channeling all 170 points of mana to go into his right index finger as it started forming inside Danny's stomach.
It slowly burned Danny's insides, causing excruciating pain as it slowly roasted all his vital organs and made his blood boil.
The sword dropped out his hand as blood started coming out from the side of his mouth and his nose. As life slowly went out of him, Tremis licked the blood that started coming out of his body.
Danny then knelt and fell down on his wide-open stomach lifelessly as all the organs inside his body had been badly burned including his heart which was the lead to his quick demise
Tremis squatted down and grabbed Danny by the head leading his head in front of his mouth as he bit into his neck, making the warmer than usual blood go into his mouth.
...
After a few minutes of drinking the blood out of Danny being satisfied, {Vampire Thirst} slowly degraded making Tremis have full control over his body again.
"Damn. I drank so much blood..well technically I actually did..whatever blood water what's the difference!" as you could see, a side effect of having {Vampire Thirst} was that even if it was inactive the user would still not be afraid of eating the same species or any humanoid species.
Tremis quickly put his hand over Danny's body and as usual, his body turned black as well as Danny as he slowly started devouring him.

I think that other me was thinking very logically in its attacks actually instead of just being brutal like "younger" me..well it was pretty brutal on Fae but might as well play with the ant before you crush it right? All I need are probably techniques now.

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama.
