Blood Release, an ability that only a few beast-kins can use. It’s takes off all limiters of the body and forcefully increases the rate in which the body moves. It makes a beast-kin two to three times stronger for a short period, but at the price of his/her own life.

The blood, all organs, everything inside the body moves faster, at a speed which slowly destroys the body. By the end of Blood Release’s duration, the beast-kin’s body will be in no condition to sustain life. Even if a beast-kin survives, he/she could never move his/her body again.

I used Blood Release accepting my death, but I won’t go down alone. I will take the silver haired man with me to hell.

I sent a large red lightning spear to the silver haired man. It was dodged, but the moment it hit the ground, I instantly appeared beside it and tried to cut him from behind.

He sent back kick to intercept my sword, and spun around to send a kick to my face. I used the handle of the sword to block his kick, and dashed forward for another slash.

I was able to reach his stomach but it didn’t do much damage, since his stomach turned in to steel a few moments before my sword connected to it. He could turn any part of his body in to steel?

He tried to grab my sword, but I jumped backwards.

“That wasn’t just magnetism, you literally teleported to the lightning spear. That’s cheating.”

“Says the man who can turn his whole body in to steel. How is my lightning magic supposed to work on you?”

“I like it, I like it, I like the way you reply to everything I say.”

“Why thank you. Now just stay still and die for me.”

“Do you really think the king will be able to reach the city?”

“!?”

“Even if you stall for time, or even if you kill me, there’s another one aside from me that was ordered to kill the king. He was stationed to where your father ran off to just in case I fail. I guess I already failed since he got away.”

I lunged to him with all of my strength, sending lightning spears as I ran. I slashed him again, but he blocked it. I already expected that.

With the arm he used to block, I propelled myself to where my father ran off to. I have no time to waste here. I need to help my father.

While running, the silver haired man grabbed my leg and threw me to a nearby tree. “That’s mean! You’re going to leave me alone!?”

I could understand that the Thena faction wants me dead, but with the strength of the group that attacked us, they could’ve killed us any time; so why now? If they waited for us to get a distance away from the city, then we wouldn’t have a place to run to.

And the bigger question is; how did they get here? They would’ve been spotted if they traveled to get here. Regardless of their strength, some of the scouts would’ve seen them. Did they use the teleport gate, but how? Only the gods could use it to travel, and if they did, not only our city, but the whole country and all our allies are in great danger.

Going by that information, the city itself is dangerous, but going there and asking for lord Alice’s protection is the best action to take.

“Father, if we get in to a dangerous situation, please forget about us.”

I looked back to both my wife and child. Their eyes showed unwavering resolve. “I will, but until then, only think about surviving.”

“What a touching scene, but it would be better if you were all covered in blood.” Said a red haired man that appeared in front of us.

I entered a low piercing stance and pointed the rapier at him. Another one?

“Before I slice you all up, let me tell you; there’s no where you can run to. The whole city is already our territory.”

“How did you do it? And why are you doing this?”

“Would you answer if I asked you what your plans are? Would you tell me all your secrets? The answer is no. Only a fool would tell the enemy his secrets.”

“You do know that lord Fluffy resides in that city. By attacking the city, you are making an enemy out of him.”

“I know. Everyone knows that. But there’s no need to worry, master will handle him. Master wants to make him a test subject- oops, I wasn’t supposed to say that. Now that you know, I have more reason to kill you.”

He drew a dagger and cut his wrist. The blood flowing from the cut covered his body, and after licking the blood on his lips he said “Blood is truly a wonderful thing. Don't you agree?”

When I got out of the garden, I saw the tiger-kin guards fighting a large number of humans, deformed humans. Fluffy immediately reverted to his real form, while I used identify X to know the average level of the deformed humans.

The average level of the tiger-kin guards was at ten, I got the information earlier while they were apologizing to me, and the average level of the deformed humans was at twenty. Not only were there more deformed humans, the tiger-kin guards were also weaker than them.

“Fluffy, help them”

The moment I said that, swords appeared in the sky, which descended to the ground, accurately piercing all enemies. A few seconds later and the swords disappeared.

The mobs can be killed, but no blood will be shed. It has been like that since I first entered the game, yet there was blood everywhere. There were holes in the corpses, making the organs visible.

I know the creators want a more realistic world, but isn’t this too much? Is this supposed to be a horror game now? If I wasn’t used to seeing dead bodies because of the time I was kidnapped, I would’ve fainted already.

Like an endless swarm, deformed humans stormed the place, but their fate was sealed the moment they did. Swords descended from the sky and pierced every enemy that entered the mansion. Now I know how got his title.

A few minutes later and decent looking humans showed up, two of them, and they were able to deflect the descending swords.

“As I thought, the failures won’t even be a challenge to you.” Said the man without any weapon.

Swords rained down on them, but every sword was stopped midway. The woman with a large scythe effortlessly redirected the swords away from them.

They slowly walked closer, with Fluffy continuously creating swords and with the woman continuously deflecting them.

Almost everything in their stats is new...and I thought they’d be affiliated with the Thena faction. Wait, he’s at max level? Maybe I could use him to find out just how strong I am compared to the npcs.

I changed to my real equipment and said “Fluffy, let me take care of them. This is an order.”

There were three reasons for Frankenstein’s attack, one was to take Fluffy, another was to test his creations’ abilities, and the last was to help the Thena faction; since one of their inventions piqued his interest.

He planted a spy on the king’s carriage and waited for them to get to the city. With the king on the city, the citizen’s attention was diverted, and a few more of his spies were able to set up one of his inventions: a teleport system that uses the power of a teleport gate.

He can’t use the teleport gate directly, but with its power, he and his forces can teleport anywhere in a large radius around the teleport gate with his invention.

Once his invention was completely set up, he waited for the king to get to the edge of his invention’s range before teleporting in. He let two of his best creations and a few failures to kill the king, while him and the rest of his forces teleported inside the city.

The failures and perfect ones alike ravaged the city, with a few entering Fluffy’s abode to stir up chaos, and to drain a bit of his stamina.

When he entered, Fluffy was still fine, but with the number of corpses around, it was certain that his stamina was reduced significantly. With that, Frankenstein would have the upper hand in battle, and with his strongest creation, his victory was certain; if only Alice wasn’t there.

Frankenstein saw a girl behind Fluffy, and he could assess her strength. She was strong, but she wasn’t a threat, at least before she changed in to her real equipment. In a split second, the girl changed from plain clothes to a thick and heavy white armor.

She was clad in white glowing armor, with a long black cape that has a wing emblem. On her right arm was a white shield with angelic aura, while her left arm had a jet black sword with a sinister aura.

Frankenstein planned the attack for a long time, but the girl wasn’t a part of his plan. He hasn’t heard of the girl. Much less know that she was stronger than him. That one factor completely destroyed his plan.

If it had been a success, he would’ve defeated Fluffy and experimented on him to make him his servant. But now, with a monster that could rival the calamity queen, the chance of success is zero.

He was one of the six strongest entities, yet his whole body was screaming in fear. His instincts were telling him to run as far as he could, since the one in front of him was someone he could never hope to defeat.
