You gained the skill [Identify]

The T0 class [Novice] caps at level 1, return in one week to tier up!

Good Luck!

Jane’s head was spinning, what even was that. Was that what the god who put her here meant by a new improved Universe? This weird blue thing? It looked like one of those games that Darrell had tried to get her to play. How would that even work, and what did any of that even mean? The blue faded out, and the world swam back into view. As soon as she was back in the real world a strange blue box popped up in front of her.

Title Acquired: The Oldest Fogie [Unique]

All Stats +50%.

Congratulations, you are older than any non-deity in the Universe 2.0, and even older than most of the gods too. I hope you're happy! Gain increased stats when haranguing whippersnappers, and chasing people off your lawn.

Jane jumped in surprise, then groaned. Someone was messing with her, how else would something like that happen. Maybe a god was writing them as things went? She willed the annoying box to leave. As soon as it disappeared another took its place.

Title Acquired: Peerless Chemist [Unique, Claimable]

Intelligence + 15%, All other stats +10%.

Awarded for having the highest level [Chemistry] skill.

Jane stared at that one for a while. The highest [Chemistry] skill. Did that mean in the world? Really? She had a degree in chemistry, but to be the best at chemistry in the world, maybe the universe? That was wild. She pushed the box away again.

Title Acquired: Peerless Physicist [Unique, Claimable]

She pushed the box away again.

Title Acquired: Peerless Biologist [Unique, Claimable]

Jane frustratedly pushed the box away again.

Title Acquired: Peerless Mathematician [Unique, Claimable]

Title Acquired: Peerless Biologist [Unique, Claimable]

Title Acquired: Paragon of the Mundane [Unique, Claimable]

This was new.

All stats +15%.

Awarded for holding the most [Unique, Claimable] mundane knowledge titles.

Jane sighed heavily, she didn’t know what the stats meant, not really, but she was not reassured about the level of technology in this universe. Maybe they just make up for it with some sort of magic. The word “mundane” would seem to suggest it, although if that was the case the village should have been much better equipped.

Title Acquired: Paragon Scholar

All stats +25%.

Awarded for holding the most [Unique, Claimable] knowledge titles.

Hopefully, that didn’t mean that even with magic things were bad, maybe nobody could master so many different disciplines in this world.

She wondered to herself if there were any more, and if there was any way to collate the titles, this was taking too long.

Titles Acquired: Late Bloomer I to X.

All stats +55%.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 14 years old. Better late than never.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 16 years old. Was it worth the wait?

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 20 years old. It probably wasn't worth the wait.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 30 years old. It probably wasn't worth it, but well done surviving so long without the system.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 50 years old. Who does that?

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 100 years. How is that even possible?

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 1 000 years old. That should not be possible.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 10 000 years old. Wait, how long?

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 100 000 years old. What, how, even dragons don't live that long.

Access U2.0AS for the first time after 1 000 000 years old. I give up, that's impossible, and doesn't even give a decent bonus. Whatever.

She had stats now. And a class. Whatever that meant. Although it seemed that she would need to return to the crystal in a week to tier up, whatever that meant. She sat down in a chair near the crystal to absorb what had just happened. She grabbed the sledgehammer that she had leant against the chair and hefted it up to her shoulder. She froze, the hammer halfway to her shoulder. It was a lot easier than before. The hunk of iron wasn’t light, not by any means, but it was definitely lighter than before. She looked at her arm and lowered the tool back down. So those Titles were not just for show, she actually was stronger than before. She wondered if there was a way to see her stats again.

“Stats” she tried, just in case. A blue box appeared in response.

Jane frowned at the box again, as was quickly becoming a habit. Five skills that were basically useless and [Identify], a skill that she had no idea how to use, and only a vague idea of what it did. She looked at the first thing in her eye line, the floating red crystal.

"[Identify]"

A small box appeared above the crystal that read [Town Crystal]. Jane giggled, maybe it would be useful after all.

Two hours of testing put paid to that idea. Nothing else could be identified. What even was the point of the skill if it did nothing. Jane resolved to spend the rest of the week, until her tier up exploring the manor, [Identify] and the surrounding area to find her place on the map while she waited for her tier up. Then she would head out towards the nearest large town, she would need to find people at some point. With a solid plan in mind, Jane headed to the pantry for a bite to eat then headed to bed in one of the numerous bedrooms.
