《Mecha In Cultivation World》30- Tigers

After that Ambrose equipped himself with his armour again and started moving in the jungle. The Molten Beetle that was in his front pocket the whole time got out and sat on his shoulder again.
He didn't eat the ice cream as he knew that the ingredients he used were very expensive and it would give him a bad reputation in front of all of them if he consumed it.
"You came out little guy. Did you saw those people? They were the most powerful people I have ever seen. They were just like Gods. Even the aura they carried around them was enough to kill us." Ambrose said.
The Beetle flapped its wings in agreement.
"Now let's do what we were here to do. Let's find those beast cores." Ambrose said and increased his speed.
Now as he has seen how much power people can contain. He wanted to get more powerful. He knew that all this time he was just a frog in a well.
Soon enough he found his first target. "A Giant Bird. A purple coloured giant bird sitting on one of the large pine-like trees. The bird was a head taller than him even in his monkey arms suit.
It's red coloured eyes looked around waiting for its prey. " A Martial Beast!" Ambrose can tell that the bird was at least Martial Master level four. "Nice! It should contain a Beast core." Ambrose thought and then jumped towards the bird.
"Shriek!" The bird cried out loud as it noticed Ambrose approaching.
It opened its beak and a warm gas flew out of it. "A Fire Affinity Beast!" Ambrose grabbed a branch from his tail and turned his whole body around to dodge the fountain of gas.
He could feel the heat coming from the gas even under his armour. His four arms grabbed the tree trunk tightly as he saw the bird trying to fly up.
"Sorry mister bird however I can't let you escape." He said and then pushed down with all the force he could muster through his mecha. The tree he was grabbing got reduced into several pieces as Ambrose got enough momentum to come close to the Bird.
Seeing a tremendous power that the monkey-like guy excluded. The purple bird flapped its wings again with more power and spat out another mouthful of the hot eroding gas at him.
Ambrose's eyes widened as he saw the green coloured gas coming out of the bird's mouth. He clenched his fist and then swung its tail towards the bird.

Grabbing the sharp claws of the bird through his tail Ambrose bent his body downward.
"Swish."
"Chee...!"
The whole body of the bird started descending downwards with Ambrose. It got spirited down in the same eroding gas that it emitted just now. Although it does not damage it too much as the bird itself was a fire affinity bird.
It was still enough to distract it for some time.
Ambrose grabbed the top branch of a tree. Pushed it backs and jumped again on the bird. His mechanical knuckle crackled and he punched out on the birds head with all the force he could muster.
"Cry!" The Bird let out a loud shriek of pain and started spiralling downwards with no restraints. Its wings fluttered as lots of purple coloured feathers started swirling around in the air.
The bird turned unconscious in just a single punch from the mechanical arm of Ambrose.
Both Ambrose and the Bird hit the ground with a loud thump. Proceeded by the sound of cracking bones. Large amounts of dust flew everywhere that flattened all the green brushes around.
Ambrose noticed that the bird was still not dead and again punched it in the head to put it out of its misery.
He then shook his shoulder a little and from a crevice, in his mecha, the molten beetle came flying out. It's skin complete red hot as it pierced down the abdomen of the Giant purple bird.
"Get me that Beast Core."
Currently, beast cores were very essential for him. He wanted to leave this place as quickly as he could as he has already seen how great power a human body can hold.
He didn't wanna remain ignorant and die just like that when he has gotten an opportunity this great by God. A Mecha System. He was sure that the system like his should be pretty rare in this world.
Maybe he is the only person that got one.
Dark red coloured blood oozed out of the hole that the molten beetle had created in the purple bird. The soil all around the blood also turned red and every herb or plant that the blood touched turned completely charred or burned down to the ground.
"This blood is extremely potent. Too bad I don't have something that I could carry it with." Ambrose sighed as he saw all the precious blood getting wasted.
He could use this blood to attack or poison his enemies. It would erode and burn someone from inside until they are dead.

The Molten Beetle sizzled out while rolling a round crystal like red core. A smile formed on Ambrose's face as he saw the size of the core. It was bigger than the one he got from that alligator.
It was at least thirty per cent bigger. It also emitted a subtle warmth. That gave a comfortable soothing feeling to the one who touches it.
Placing the core in his pocket. Ambrose started to move around. Searching for another one. He speculated that he needed at least thirty more like this one if he wanted to reach the Martial Master realm.
He knew that although it would not be hard. It would be a tedious job to do. And it was not something he could just do in one day. He speculated that he needed at least four days to do so.
"Slowly but surely I will reach the Martial Master realm." He thought and then looked at the Molten Beetle. This little guy is already at Body Master Level five just one level below him.
Ambrose also wanted his molten beetle to be stronger as it could be a great partner and helper. "Don't worry I will collect some for you too." He said with a smile.
The Molten Beetle fluttered its wings in excitement as he heard Ambrose.
"Roar!"
While both of them were searching through the forest a roar resounded and they faced a winged tiger. It was completely black just like its wings and there were may white strips on it.
Ambrose smiled as he looked at the tiger. All four of his knuckles crackled as he jumped on the tiger. It was also a Martial Master Level four. Very easy to take down with his Monkey Arms mecha.
In just one minute the black tiger was on the floor and a beetle was crawling out of its body with a black coloured beast core with it. "A dark affinity Beast Core." Ambrose grabbed the beast core in his hand and smiled.
However, his smile didn't stay there for long as he felt strong killing intent coming from behind his back. He quickly jumped from the place he was standing on. His beetle also hid in his mecha suit.
"Another tiger! This one looks different." Ambrose saw another tiger roaring at him in anger. The tiger was yellow with its tail end lit on fire. It even had a long dragon-like moustache made up of fire.
"Martial Master level Seven!" Ambrose spoke out in surprise as his eyes widened.
The Fire Tiger looked at his dead friend on the ground and let out another roar of anger. Its eyes turned completely red as it looked at Ambrose with rage flashing in its body.
Even the fire on its tail and moustache flared up even more. Showing that it was completely enraged.
Ambrose quickly jumped up from his position and started running away. The Fire Tiger also started following him with rage-filled eyes.
"Oh shit!" Ambrose thought and increased his speed. If this tiger caught him he is as good as dead. Although his mecha armour can have a speed of a Martial Master level nine it was still weak in terms of strength.
His Monkey Arms mecha can only contend against a Martial Master Level Five. That was his limit. However, Fire Tiger is two-levels above him and it could easily crush Ambrose if he didn't hurry up.
"His speed is more than normal!" Ambrose saw the Fire Tiger Catching up to him and panicked. "Looks like its because of his rage.
"The Fire Tiger is increasing its power for a few minutes in exchange for his blood. Oh, God!" Ambrose thought and increased his speed to maximum.
He soon realised that although the tiger was burning its blood for more speed it still couldn't catch up with him. Suddenly a smile formed on Ambrose's face.
"I just need to stall some time and then this tiger would be tired and weak, it would easier for me to kill it then." Ambrose thought and gave his all to running.
Although his Monkey Arms Mecha was helping him. He would also soon run out of stamina and this tiger would kill him. Now it's all the matter of whose power will run out faster.
When the Tiger saw Ambrose running away at a much faster speed. It Roared again in anger. It decided to burn all his blood in a single attack and summoned a giant fireball around his mouth.

Only Villains Do That
While waiting on an Akihabara train platform one day, ordinary high schooler Yoshi Shinonome was suddenly plucked from his normal life in Japan and whisked away by a beautiful goddess to Ephemera, a world of magic and adventure, to serve as her Hero and drive back the evil Dark Lord. This is not his story. Standing nearby at the moment Yoshi was isekai'd was a man named Seiji - a rude, cranky, misanthropic musician who was not at all pleased to find himself also snatched up and transported to Ephemera by the goddess's wicked sister, Virya. According to this self-proclaimed Goddess of Evil, the whole fantasy adventure thing was a game she and her sister played to stave off the boredom of immortality, and since the good goddess, Sanora, had picked her Hero...well, Virya needed a Dark Lord. A grown man with his own career and ambitions, Seiji has no interest in playing. Unfortunately for him, the call to adventure was not a request. Now, he must conquer Ephemera and defeat the Hero...or Virya promises to make him beg for the release of death before granting it. Playing along for his own survival, Seiji nonetheless is under no illusions who his true enemy is, and it's not the naive young would-be Hero from his own world. Placed in an impossible position, Seiji must make enough progress toward world domination to keep his sadistic patron goddess off his back, but not so much that he can't strike an accord with the forces of Good and convince the Hero Yoshi that it's the goddesses who are their mutual enemy. Forced to embrace Evil without being too evil, Seiji walks the razor's edge, building his forces and biding his time till he can get revenge on the goddesses and be free of them, his only certainty that he will not be getting out of this with his hands clean. A Dark Lord's gotta do what a Dark Lord's gotta do. Updates Tuesday and Friday. Most Patreon tiers get to read one chapter in advance of the public release!

[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
