《To Deify a Deity》Chapter 22 - part 1 The Southern Range

Cirwyn was no fool, but for a mortal to realize the three fates were actively trying to interfere with the lives of her family was unheard of. Not to mention Micah seemed like such a nice boy. It was odd, however, that whenever the gods would turn their focus towards Lynefra while Micah was visiting, the boy would end the visit without fail.
Micah, himself, wasn't aware that he was being used. Initially he hadn't felt anything for Lynefra and he honestly wanted to make sure the girl and her family wasn't holding anything against the newly dubbed Mishall family. The change was subtle and not even the gods had realized what was going on. It was beginning to be very clear, however, that Lynefra's memories weren't coming back any time soon and eventually Syble had enough of attempting to be the patient person that he most definitely wasn't. Though the God didn't take part in mortal affairs because he didn't have any interest unless the person was someone exceptionally strong, the girl was his great granddaughter and Traigar was his grandson.
Traigar! Syble abruptly formed out of the air right next to Traigar as he was sitting on a chair in Lynefra's room, visiting his troubled daughter.
"Syble," Traigar dipped his head in a nod and greeting. "How can I help you?"
We need to talk! Syble declared. Thankfully Lynefra wasn't physically sick for Syble's vigour was taxing even on a healthy person.
"Hello," Lynefra greeting Syble somewhat reservedly.
"Can we step outside to talk, Lynefra should be resting," Traigar frowned.
What is she, five? Syble's sarcasm caused the next words coming from Traigar's mouth to catch in his throat. Besides, she needs to hear this too.
"Hear what?" Traigar questioned, it wasn't like Syble to beat around the bush.
The reason why Lynefra can't remember herself and what happened that night at the ceremony.
After Syble had explained in detail, everything he knew of Lynefra's circumstances, Traigar was dumbfounded and Lynefra only remained silent.
"So you mean to tell me, some stupid incarnation of whatever the hell it is, is trying to kill my son to make my daughter lose her mind? What for?" Traigar asked in slight disbelief.
No clue, but did you miss the part about how Lynefra is the reincarnation of some ancient god?
"No, I got that part. Don't really care though, she's my daughter and I raised her. As far as I'm concerned that's all that matters," Traigar replied. He really didn't care what her circumstances were before her life as his daughter. He was slightly upset she hadn't told him but he understood why she didn't tell him about her previous identity, though her extreme gifts made sense now. "So what is there to do about the whole situation? I don't think us mortals would be able to actually stop it. So far it sounds like Lynefra has been taking care of it or some external help has played some kind of factor."

Uh, I don't know, Syble replied to Traigar's question sheepishly, Just do your best to protect Freyd, don't let him out of your sight!
"Oedipus Rex.." Lynefra murmered.
"What did you just say?" Traigar and Syble asked in unison.
Lynefra had been silent for the entire dialogue until now. "Oedipus Rex" she repeated somewhat dazed, "The name just kind of popped into my head."
"Who's that?" Traigar asked, the name wasn't familiar to him.
Lynefra tilted her head to the side, deep in thought. "Um, it's a story about a man who tried his hardest to change the future but his actions insured the future he had seen actually came true..." Lynefra was starting to get a headache.
Where'd you hear the story? It was Syble's turn to ask, the two men were horrible at playing goodcop/badcop with the lovely young lady. Not that they had to anyways.
"I don't know," Lynefra answered, "I just..know."
Odin, a beautiful female voice said. Dolos has gone to Pandora on behalf of fate. The voice was directed at a silhouette of an aged man with a crooked back in the distance.
Go with Veritas to Pandora then, the silhouette replied in a somber tone, Find out what Dolos has planned and expose whatever sinister machinations he has planned.
I was thinking of doing just that, the female voice replied smugly. As the owner of the woman's voice walked away from the silhouette, there was a distinct clanking sound, as if the woman was wearing some kind of armor.
After Syble's conversation with his descendants ended, he had excitedly told Lystall and Loki of Lynefra remembering something. To his dismay, however, Loki informed him that what his great granddaughter has remembered was something from a distant planet called Earth which Lynefra had never been to. It was one of Divinus' memories. The story of Oedipus was one of Divinus' favorite stories. Not because he enjoyed sick and twisted things like people unwittingly committing patricide or incest, but because it had an important moral of the story.
The moral Divinus had taken from the story wasn't what most people who heard it would take from it, however. Divinis didn't much care for fate but he was fond of the idea of poetic justice brought to people threw away their family members to protect their own status and material riches. He had confided to Loki, that he did feel bad for the mortal known as Oedipus but there wasn't much that could be done to try and help a man who killed his father and fathered children of his own with his mother albeit unwittingly.

As Lynefra recalled the particular story, after the headache passed she, like Divinus, had a small smile on her face. 'Served that old king right, too bad for his son though. It wasn't Oedipus' fault his father and mother were so worried about their wealth,' she had thought to herself upon recalling the story in detail.
I bet it's certain stimuli that trigger a memory flash for her, Lystall said thoughtfully.
I have just the right kind of stimulus then! Kuzunoha fanned herself as she pulled the most skimpy outfit any of the gods present had ever seen. Ohohoho, I should think she'd like this.
No Kuzunoha, Loki said, shaking his head, I think you're the only one who likes that. Then the god disappeared, gone to visit Traigar.
It wasn't hard to find Traigar, Micah had come and Lynefra wanted to go on a walk with the eerily considerate boy. Traigar, being the good father that he was, wasn't far behind. Every so often he would make some loud noise or curse randomly to make sure everyone knew he was there.
You're making a fool out of yourself, Loki's voice wafted over Traigar's sound effects.
"That's none of your business! Why do you gods hang around my daughter anyways, can you give her a little privacy?" Traigar retorted, annoyed his special brand of tailing had been interrupted.
You're..asking for privacy for your daughter after what you were just doing? Please tell me you see the irony in- Loki cut himself off and looked around with narrowed eyes. Without warning, Loki abruptly disappeared.
"Did he come just to tell me I'm a fool? AH! Where'd Lynefra go?!" Traigar shouted.
Lynefra and Micah were talking a walk through the Academy of Dulsa's botanical garden. Lynefra liked the fresh and clean smelling air, as well as the flowers. There was something about nature by design. The plants didn't have any aura of some mad dash to get the most sunlight for fear of death. After walking around for a good while, Lynefra came across two beautiful high human women wearing extremely odd clothes. The women weren't enjoying the flowers, they were looking right at Lynefra, thankfully Micah immediately took Lynefra on a different path than the two women.
'Who were those two?' Lynefra asked herself, recalling what both had been wearing. The first woman was wearing long royal blue robe with a gold chestplate. There had also been a large shield on the woman's back with a spear tucked undernearth. A helmet had been tucked under the crook of her arm as her wavy brown hair fluttered in the breeze. The most impressive thing about the woman though, were her big, grey eyes. Absolutely gorgeous.
The other woman was only wearing some grey robes. Nothing too fancy, her hair looked much like the wavy brown hair of the woman with gray eyes, except her hair was a few shades lighter. The most striking thing about this lady wasn't her picturesque curves or her flawless skin, it was her clear green eyes. They were eyes that would clear away fog and could cut through men's intentions with nothing but a glance.
Micah turned the corner, leading Lynefra along and they saw the two women again, looking at Micah intently this time. Micah turned around and walked back from where he came. It seemed every other corner the boy turned in the garden, the two women would be there waiting for him. Gradually Micah sped up, starting to feel a little alarmed but why, Lynefra didn't know. Slowly, the frequency of the sight of the two women gradually increased. It had gone from every few turns to every other turn, now Lynefra would see them every time she turned around. She didn't feel any bad intentions from the two women, but Micah was sweating profusely and his grip on her hand was starting to slightly numb her hand.
"Micah, my hand hurts a bit," Lynefra said softly.
"Not right now," Micah replied with haste.
Micah turned around again and stopped. When Lynefra turned to look in the direction Micah was looking in, she noticed a change in the women. The woman with the royal blue robes and armor had levelled her shield, facing Micah, and was approaching with her spear drawn.
