-----Location: Diisan Current: Azorinth Ocean (Deep)------
A small Amoeba, one of thousands of millions, floats in the the deep, deep ocean of Azorinth. It rides the currents made from a unique animal which it hasn't met yet. This current, of many, allows passage to many different areas of the vast ocean.
In this particallur passage, one can see a quite large speciman of blue whale. And right next to it, if you have a powerful microscope, you could see our mc, struggling to get away.
'Oh god.'
That was all I could think of that and that I have to get away.
Panically, I search my status screen for something I can use to escape while I wonder what his status screen looks like.
The dark ocean spans all around. The whale starts to close in and I thought,
'Why me?'
-----------------------------------------
Earlier:
"Fweu." I imagined wiping my brow inside my head. That was a close one. That battle between the shark and other fish was intense, and quite frankly, too close for comfort. I gain momentum to move forward, when I realized that I'm in a current.
I look around for any danger. I spot a lot shrimp a little away and I mean a lot. But unless they were super fast and interested in some ridicolously small amoeba, they shouldn't pose a threat. Seeing that I'm safe for the moment, besides the few giant shrimp, I turn my attention back to my status screen, pondering about what skills were and how to use them.
I wondered for so long, I barely noticed the shrimp screaming in shrilly voices and start to swim away from something behind me. I quickly shut down my status screen and started to gain momentum while looking back. I shoudn't have looked back. A large looming shape leers behind me. I yelp in my mind.

I don't care that I don't have enough momentum to go as far away as possible, I release the momentum immediately and shoot forward. The large shape starts to gain distance.
'Crap.'
I double my intensity for gaining momentum as soon as I slow down. I shoot forward again, but not before noticing that the shape was swimming faster and faster.
Wait a minute. Swim! I had gained that skill. In order to survive, I had looked into each of my skills and abilities. I had read the descriptions and tried to think about what each meant. I quickly tried to yell the key word for the skill,"SWIM!"
And unsurprisingly, nothing happened. Because you know, I don't have a mouth. Then I thought that I can just probably think it. Bah, what a genius I am!
'SWIM!'
Instantly I propell forward. The big shadow just opened it mouth, pearly white teeth, each easily the size of a man. Bristles the size of a golden retriever standing on it's hind legs. Okay, now let me remind you. A typical amoeba's size is 250 to 750 microns, and I'm on the small size so I'm about 200 microns. By the way, ten microns is equivalent to 0.00039 inches. So I'm about 0.078 inches total.
Wait, bristols? Don't whales have those? I internally sigh.
'Great now I'm running, er, swimming away from a gigantic whale.'
[Dark Vision has leveled up once]
Well at least there's that.
------------------
Present:
The giant whale's maw was wide open and creating a mini vortex, sucking in the large shrimp, then chomping on them. It continued to repeat this process.
'Damn Damn Damn!'
When I had seen the whale, I darted into the group of giant shrimp, trying to hide. But then I remembered that whales eat shrimp. I started to swim even faster and gained two levels for it. Yay, but not the time to celebrte. Thanks to the new levels, I went faster, but was still not able to somehow escape this tragedy. Threee quarters of the group of shrimp were gone. If I had to guess how many there were originally, then probably 3 million. Hey everything looks giant to me.

I tried to huddle next to some shrimp, using my tendrils to catch onto their cells, but they were too fast and my skills too low.
I started to feel tired, and I slowed down. I remembered that I only had limited stamina and couldn't move that much. I mean, I had only eaten one bacteria.
The whale loomed closer.
I thought about how I was able to defeat the bacteria earlier. I had used my tendrils to catch it, then used my other skill, Chemical Creation, to neutralize it.
'Maybe I could...?' Suddenly my train of thought was interupted.
The whale ate me.

Just power through it or encorage me to put up a second draft). It can be found here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/21654/the-crimson-mage/chapter/307763/chapter-1
