------Location: Azorinth Ocean (Deep)----
'Ughhh, ughh'
I tried to open my eyes as I groaned when I woke up from the long, erm, nap.
'What was that, anyway? Wait a minute, didn't I get shot? Is this the afterlife? I wasn't too big of a believer though.'
That's when I realize, I don't have eyes. I start to panic.
'WHAT THE HELL?!?!?! What is this magic, Gandalf, Dumboldore?!?!?!'
After my fit, I start to calm down. When I do, I realize that I can see fine but also don't now who those people were. My sight was like an insect's eye, where they can see everything due to the infrared eye. I try looking around but can't because it's all black. Maybe it's space? No, there's definitely stuff floating, but I feel something moving against me, moving me. An ocean current, that's what.
I strain to look at myself but it's like it can only see outward. Seeing that nothing can be done, I turn my attention to what I notice seems to be like a box-like envelope with an exclamation mark. I try to move my arms, it doesn't move. I try to move my legs, they don't move. I panic a little. I try to start yelling, but nothing comes out. Where are my limbs?Hyperventilating, I try to reason with myself.
'Ok, ok. Maybe I can open it using a non verbal command.' But I don't see how I could click it or touch it.
'Hmm, maybe open.'
Nothing.
'ummm, open sesame?'
Again nothing.
'Open box. Open envelope.'
It again, frustratingly doesn't open.
'For God's sake, OPEN!'
Quiet prevails.
'Sigh, you know what. OPEN. OPEN. OPEN. OPEN. OPEN.'
' Dang it.'
Something floats near me, and I instinctively send a tentril or tenticle of some kind. up my body. Wait, I can do that?'

It wiggles within my grasp. It feels wierd. It's like if your human hand is plunged under water, then into gel while trying to grap a small slippery fish.
Then I have it fully in my tenticle. Now what? Do I even have a mouth?
I tentatively push it towards my body. It starts to open up with a feeling of like opening a dry, parched mouth. The tenticle pushes the 'Thing' in my body. Once its fully in, the tenticle exits and the body closes. I can FEEL it wiggling in my body. Is it starting to grow bigger or is that my imgaination.
A minute passes. NOPE, it definitely growing. I panically start wiggling not expecting anything to really happen when suddenly I instictively release some sort of chemical. It immediately neutralizes the 'Thing'. It stops growing and grows still. Another couple minutes go by and I panic again. Nothinig's happening, but when I start to get restless, the 'Thing' starts growing smaller and smaler, until another 5 minutes go by, and its basically all gone.

Winter Fire [ Book 1 ] ✔
On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest. "I promise."------1st Place in the Chaos Awards2nd Place in the Mystic Awards2nd Place in the Stella Luna Awards2nd Place in the Talent Awards 2018Highest Ranking #1 In SteampunkFound on the official Wattpad Fantasy account featured reading list "Wintery Worlds"
