《Inglorious Bastard》Chapter 15,5: Status Log #3

Sun is shining, birds are chirping, and the last of the annoying football nuts that have been driving me crazy for what felt like eternity have finally left the city. Yippity-doo-da!
With Ch15 done and over with, we make a smooth transition from "unnamed_story_arc_1" to "unnamed_story_arc_2": life on the run will finally come to an end, and with my godly authority of a writer John will soon meet many new friends to annoy and be a dick to. Isn't that just delightful?
Without further ado, onto Funkalicious Trivia we go!
XVI) Remember that final scene from Chapter 10? Well guess what, this is already the third timeline. In the original cut John never met Amelia and instead became pals with Medrek, it was a short story about two pals raising havoc across the world, gradually falling deeper into the madness and becoming an inhuman monster from sudden acquisition of power after being summoned into a new world. Both eventually get slain by those who got summoned afterwards, only for those heroes to get drunk on their power too and repeat the endless cycle of corruption. In the second timeline John indeed met Amelia, but got killed by the fall, thus leaving her to take over as a heroine without the special power John had, left to fend for herself with the teachings he imparted onto her over that short one week they knew each other. And yet, time and space got distorted again and the third cycle began. Will it be the last? Who knows. Not me. I've long lost control.♪
XVII) As was stated earlier, classes provide an increase to one or more stats and this increase...well...increases when the class reaches mastery level by reaching the cap of lvl.50. However, the quality of the class sharply affects the growth - Villager and Magic Knight many both increase user's physical strength and endurance, but bonus given by the former class will be dwarfed by the latter. It is considered unusual to have more than 3~4 classes, as there are similar classes with almost identical structure (such as Soldier/Mercenary), but most demand not only particular actions or events to trigger them, but also possessing the right mindset for the job.

XVIII) To breathe life into a golem, mana is a must. Amount varies greatly based on the golem's quality - golems made of clay or soil take next to none mana, but in exchange they are good-for-nothings with zero intelligence, weak, frail and unable to do anything but the simplest tasks without failing spectacularly; golems made of noble metals or alloys however, shall suck out enormous amounts of mana from their immediate surroundings. In exchange they can offer their creator a perfect servant that shall never age and complete even the nigh impossible requests even if it kills them in the process.
XIX) Long-long time ago it was a well known fact that elementals and golems have extreme aversion towards each other, to the point where they would attempt to kill each other on sight. The reasons for that are a mystery. When a certain archmage tried to question an elder earth elemental and an advanced earth golem on the matter, the only answers he got were "...bah, abnormal freaks." and "...". Cultural research of this bizarre conflict slowly came to a stop soon afterwards.
XX) Headhunter class is a bit of a...special case. Unknown to 99,99999% of the populace (in other words, to anyone but those in possession of said class), it is bestowed on disturbed people that for one reason or another developed a compulsion for collecting heads or skulls of those they've slain and putting them on display. This broken class doesn't gain experience like the others and cannot be trained. Instead it increases by one level every time the owner adds a new species of creature to his collection. The skills gained from the class are unknown due to secrecy and blatant paranoia of the wielders, our apologies.

Block Dungeon
The world of Sleyn is a little doomed planet made of blocks. Its World Core is under assault from a corrupting force known as the Ostrum, and it seems unstoppable. As a last-ditch effort, the World Core forcespawns a bunch of Dungeon Cores so they can level up and push back the Ostrum. So far, all have failed. This fic is a dungeon core set in the CoreVerse. You do not have to read any other CoreVerse book to enjoy this. It is heavily inspired by vanilla Minecraft and Terraria, with a healthy sprinkling of mod influence, too. PG-13 ish, with a sprinkling of profanity and some violence, but the descriptions are pretty tame.

System Holders
A family of five are struck with a complete new world that they have to accustom to. Following the story of Jack (17), and his family including his two other brothers (Adam 21, Carl 14), and his Mother and Father (Jill 43, Matt 45), they are now known as "System Holders". These systems came from nowhere one day on an ordinary day, and completely changed their lives upside down. Uknown to them, they would take on tasks which make them put their lives on the line - starting with the Tutorial Tower. These towers occurred all over the world, however they were unique to each country. In England (Jack and his family are there), the tower is quite compact in comparison to places like France and The USA who's are quite long whilst being skinny. Although, one thing stayed the same - there are 100 floors and on each floor there are monsters which seemingly come from another world.
