Infinite Ocean Ch 11

Since the papers were fibally settled, Master and I ate our lunch before parting ways. Master needs to arrange the Qi Gatherimg Formation at the second floor above the deck.

The Queen Mary 2 have about 5 floors upwards from the deck and about 8 floors down. With its huge structure, there are many rooms and floors with no actual use. It goes like this.

The Ground floor is the room in the Deck level. All floors above it is named 2nd to 5th floor. While below the Ground floor is the U1st floor to the U8th floor.

You should know that all the U floors are far larger than the normla floors since it is inside the body of the ship, contrary to the normal floors which is a little bit smaller. By small I mean just a couple of hundred meters.

The Arc reactor is placed in the U8th floor since its the lowest floor. The walls of the U8th floor is reinforced by me by 3 fold to prevent damage.

I already included the Qi Gathering Formation in the modification process of the Queen Mary 2. I already cleared the whole U1st Floor of any room. It is now just a whole level with necessary supporting pillars. The whole Qi Gathering Array can fit in it no problem.

Master need a weeks or so to finish a Formation so he wanted to begin immediately, since the ship is now officially owned by us.

The U7th actually have a huge door that leads to the outside. I designed the U7th to be the Cargo area for my future goods. A whole quarter of the floor is actually incased in a room. It is one of the blue prints that I acquired from Grandpa's blue print. It is an Industrial Refrigerator which can store and freeze things. I plan to freeze some meat so that our meals in our travel won't be just pure seafood.

With all these modifications, I never once taught about weaponry. I realized it when I saw the Warship of Brock which was armed with numerous cannons.

I am planning to install some cannons in the Queen Mary 2 later on, but I believe that I need to focus more in defense.

"So Sam, what is your dream?" Master asked as we were drinking after the meal

"Dream? Why did you ask Master?" I asked in confusion since Master seldomely ask about personal things

"I want to know your life goals, Sam. I already achieved my goal in life which is why I willingly accepted my situation. You see Dreams are important, I realized my dreams during my Cultivation when I was younger. And it became one of the motivation that kept me going forward." Master said with a closed eyes seemingly remembering something.

"What is that dream, Master?" I asked since Master won't seem to be telling me his dream if I didn't ask

"When I was young, all I had in mind is that I want to be the strongest. I always wanted to be the one on top. I chased my dreams, only to be disappointed with my inability. I lost my dream when the Immortal Emperor won the seat. I was broken then, but I realized from my experience that I never wanted to be the strongest. I realized that what I want is to protect the one's I care about. I wasn't able to form a family since I was afraid that it will be a weakness of mine. Which became a regret for me since all the women from my generation is already married or dead. So I nurtured mu disciples like my own children and let the Sect prosper with my protection. Now that the Sect is already well established with some Martial Monarchs present, I fulfilled my dreams." Master explained with mixed emotions, He seemed happy amd sad at the same time.

"I don't know my dream Master. I was never into being the Strongest. All I want is to live peacefully with the one's I care about and adventure at the same time. Which is why I immediatly decided to be a Trade and a Merchant." I said with a bitter smile

"Hehehe, From what you said, I can infer what your dream is. What you want might be to build a a city or something. You can even dream to build an Kingdom or an Empire. I know it sounds ridiculous but hey, its just a dream. With that huge ship of yours, I am pretty sure that you will be able to house many people. If you made an empire, you will be able to direct it to what you want. And with the Ship as your kingdom, you can still travel the world together with the one's you care." Master said with a chuckle

"You know what Master, that is a great idea. Hahaha, imagine an empire inside a single boat. I can travel the world while gathering citizens and treasures." I exclaimed with stars in my eyes

So with that declaration, I started building an empire that would rival the Marines and the Magician Federation later on.

Walking around town, I saw many pedlers selling trinkets and all random things. While there are many famous establishments, the street market is still a great place to find random treasures.

An old woman caught my attention. She looks like your average grandma with wrinkled some wrinkled skin and white streaks of hair, but my instincts screams to me that I shouldn't mess with her. Although, I can't feel any fluctuations of energy, I still risked seeing what she was selling.

"Good evening, Grandma, can I see what your wares are?" I asked politely as I stoped by her stall.

She doesn't actually have a stall. She only laid down a mat and laid her wares down to the ground. There are only books being offered to pedestrians but people just passed her by.

The Grandma only look at me for a couple of seconds before nodding. The books were all wrapped in a piece of paper, and the only indication of its contents are a piece of paper written infront of it while the price isn't indicated.

The books were all related to Magic. The title of the books are 《Comprehensive Basics of Mental Energy》,《Mana Aptitude and Elemental Affinities》,《Feeling Mana For Dumies》,and lastly 《Level 0 Magic Spell book》.

"Grandma, how much does all of these books cost?" I asked since I can't make a copy of it or know the contents since the paper is blocking my ability.

"Young man, All of these books costs 10 gold each. would you like to buy it?" The grandma said in a calm tone like someone I know

"Are these books common? I mean these are just the basics of magic." I asked to check something

"These are all common books, however its quite scarce in this Infinite Ocean." Grandma said while looking at me straight in the eye

"Alright Grandma, you have a deal. I will be buying all these books and I will pay you for 100 gold in one condition." I said confidently as was able to confirm something

"Okay then, what is your condition." Grandma said with a curious expression

"I want you to be my master and teach me magic." I said straight forwardly

"Oho, you are quite a weird boy. Why would you be asking a poor grandma to teach you magic." The grandma said with amusement present in her tone

"First and foremost, the reason why I want you to be my master is because you are not a native of the Infinite Ocean. Secondly my instincts are telling me that you are very strong. And last but not the least, you have the air similar to someone I know. You have that majestic air around you which I only feel when I am infront of an expert." I explained as I took a seat infront of Grandma.
