There is a girl named Matilda.
Matilda likes a lot of things, but, LOVES to sing and swim!
Although, how much she tries...she can't seem to do BOTH at the same time!
She tried to start singing and then jump into the pool.
But heard, "Gurgle, Gurgle!"
She tried at bath time too!
But heard, "Gurgle, Gurgle!"She could sing in the shower...But she wasn't swimming at the same time!!!
Matilda was determined, but how was she to swim and sing at the same time?
She was not going to give up!
The next time Matilda went swimming, she decided to make it happen!
This was how it sounded,
"Gur..Gle..Gur..Gle..Gurgle gur!"
Jumping out of the pool, Matilda went to her mother.
"Mummy! I can sing 'Twinkle Twinkle' under the water!"
Matilda knew that hard work and not giving up helped her accomplish her goal!
