《Rise Of The Heavenly King》Chapter 9 – Assassinating Kane [ Kane’s POV: 3rd Person Perspective ]

After a week from Lucas training his assassins and somewhere along the headquarters of Wielder Association Chephram Branch:
“...Thus, suspected new ability wielder is observed and concluded to be a regular person only. That is all for my report.” A young man with curly auburn hair stood at the front of the table with his presentation behind his back.
He was the center of attention of 5 people sitting around the table. The young man was Kane Andersson, a group leader of one of the elite groups of the Wielder Association. Meanwhile, the five people around the table consisting of three men and two women, all middle-aged people, were the leaders of the Wielders Association of Chephram branch.
It was said that these five people were the strongest within the branch, all of them managing different locations. And the situation right now, is the end of Kane's presentation about the recent achievements of their group.
After the 5 leaders were reconfirming his report, they finally decided to congratulate his achievements for the month. The meeting was quickly adjourned and Kane was finally able to rest for a bit inside his room at his apartment.
After 30 minutes of resting, Kane’s eyes snapped open, sensing danger around him. He quickly looked around his room, then to his whole apartment. ‘I don’t know if that was real or I was just being paranoid about it. I hope it is the latter.’ Kane thought to himself as he double checked, confirming his safety.
He went back to his couch to watch some TV but as soon as he let his guard down, a needle was shot from behind his back as he quickly dodged. The needle manages to graze him a little bit as he curses the assassin.
“Who th-” before he managed to talk, one of the three assassins slashed at him with a kukri knife, managing to wound his shoulders deeply. Kane then retaliated by waving his hand unleashing a wind blade.

The assassin blocked the wind blade but was blown far away, leaving cracks behind the wall. Another assassin moved from behind, strangling him but could not slice his neck as Kane blocked his hands and elbowed the assassin, trying to struggle and get away from the assassin’s clutches.
‘Damn! Why aren't his arms not bulging?!’ He shouted inside his mind, trying to think of a solution to his predicament. Keep in mind that Kane was not much of a fighter and only uses his wind magic to fight, even if he has a fit body.
He was finally able to elbow the assassin hard, escaping from his grip but he was too late when he realized an assassin dashed to him at full speed, managing to slice his neck away from his body.
After the whole ordeal, the assassins cleaned the body, leaving the whole room speckless. One of the assassins touched his earpiece and said with a cold tone, “Mission accomplished. Background checked, cameras were found and the recording file was deleted, evidence removed.”
After his report, the group vanished without a trace, leaving only a note on the table. The contents of it were saying that the leader of a group, Kane, managed to offend someone with a high position of power and threatened that if something like this happened again, then the whole Chephram branch would be eliminated.
They decided to make the letter mysterious, and made it as if the power that was talked about in the letter was an organization a lot more powerful than the whole Wielders Association.
Well the organization bit was true, but it was not YET powerful enough to contend with the likes of the giant Wielders Organization.
After a whole week, the leaders found out that they could not contact Kane so they ordered someone to find him and check his room when they found out about the letter. The contents of the letter were reported to them as they deeply thought about the situation and pondered a solution.

“Who do you think was the mysterious person behind the letter? Do you think that the contents of the letter were real?” A middle-aged man with the build of a warrior spoke with a rough voice.
“For me, I am not so sure about it. I suggest investigating this matter properly and with more caution.” One of the women wearing a cheongsam, showing her mature appeal said with a silky voice. “I second the motion” the other three responded one by one, agreeing to the current plan.
After a bit of talking from the leaders, they were finally wary that they might have hit a steel wall and decided to report this to the main headquarters of the Wielders Association. Also, they placed a spy near Lucas, just to be sure that he was not involved in this situation.
Now the scene goes back to Lucas’ apartment where he already fixed the walls instead of moving to a new apartment, as he was just wasting time by doing so. He also continued on his body tempering, finally almost finishing on his organs.
With his organs completely tempered, there would be no need for him to eat or sleep and his life would be prolonged. His senses became far sharper than before even without using his abilities and his powers rose up a notch than before.
If he compared the two realms, it would take 20 people the same level as Lucas just to beat the current Lucas. Now that he broke through, he finally achieved the peak of body tempering…not.
Well, Lucas did not know about it yet as he will temper his body again far from the future, which would be a lot more powerful than his current state. Suddenly, he noticed someone spying on him from far away. With his current senses, he could now use his normal senses a hundred meters away from him, which is a fivefold increase of his powers.
That was the limit if he focused enough without activating his abilities. Now if he used his >, the result would be tenfold, reaching a kilometer away from his location. He stood up and disappeared from the spy’s sight, then appeared on his back after 10 seconds.
The spy was shocked by the speed, becoming nervous at his predicament. Before the assassin reacted, Lucas activated >, looking for the assassin’s memories before deciding to wipe them out and replace them.
The whole action only happened a split second, then he disappeared from the assassin’s sight and back to his apartment. He decided to act as if he was a regular person to avoid the suspicions of the leaders from the branch headquarter. He would act like a normal person until the spy finally reports to the leaders.
He also managed to learn more about the Wielders Association, and where the branch was located. He was now thinking about what he should do next when suddenly, a notification sounded from his phone. He looked at it and saw an email, and checked for its content.
He saw that he was invited by the Tariff Family, which is filled with well known business owners around the country. The content was about the debut of the daughter of William Tariff, who is an owner of an IT company.
Now that he saw this, he thought to himself. ‘This is probably a chance for me to gather new subordinates. I hope that someone would make a stupid move to ruin the party and not just become a boring old day.’ With that, Lucas decided to prepare for the party.
