"Aw man, what happened to the nice weather!"
Osiris jumped out her door straight to a puddle. Her shoes soaked.
"Aw man!"
*BOOM* the lightning chased the thunder across the sky. She looked up.
"Not our problem today."
She ran down the semi abandoned street. She ran, and ran, and ran until she hit the gate to outside the mighty wall. The guard stopped her at her approach.
"Where you going now Osiris?"
"I'm going camping, I got the week off."
"Oh?"
"Yeah I want to head camping in the woods for the majority of it."
"How ironic..."
"Hm?"
"Hisoka wanted me to prevent you from leaving!"
"Did he state why?!?"
"He did not, and its not my place to ask!"
"Hm."
God dammit he went through my bag!
. . .
"Osiris?"
Osiris snaps back to the guard. "Sorry just thinking why he'd do that!"
"Anyway we can wor-
"Sorry but no."
"Wha-why?"
"Because your superior said so."
"Superior?!?"
"Elder?"
"Elder?!?"
"Yep, he is in charge of you right?"
"I guess..."
"So because I listen to him and you listen to me!"
"Dammit, come on let me through!"
"No can do little lady."
"Little?!?"
Osiris balls up her fist The guard notices.
"Woah, woah, woah!"
"Little?!?"
"I mean your on the shorter side, bu-but I didn't mean it!"
"Shorter?!?"
"Uhhhh, I'm sorry!"
"Then let me through before I slay you!"
"OK, OK, just don't tell anyone I disobeyed my orders..."
"Thanks guardman!"
She walks off waving goodbye. The guard turns to her walking out of the city.
"I hope no one finds out..."
I couldn't go threw the front gate, the only thing that way is the ash sea, it would've obviously where I was going.
So I had to go threw that way...
If Hisoka saw the map he'd know where I was going.
But I bought myself some time!
I need to get to the landmark!
Osiris sprinted through the forest, blazing past tree by tree, until she came upon it. In the middle of the green forest, lay a large Pink Petaled Oak tree.
"Woah.."
Osiris stood frozen at the site. How have we never seen this before?!?
She snapped back to reality, she pulled the map from her bag, so the tree has a sea branch pointing towards the path I must walk? She looked up.
The dead branch had a stone there, planted long ago.
"Hm."
She followed the branch put the map away, took one last look at the tree, and kept moving towards her goal.
She ran for what felt like hours, until she came upon it... The Ash Sea.
The wind blows across the dark substance carrying some it in its wake. It looked glassy and crystalized but somehow black and clouded at the same time.
The wind howls again, tempting her to walk into the ashen void.
Her first step into it is like sand, Its soft and course.
"So this is the Ash Sea." She looks out into the abyss.
"3 days to cross, 3 to get back."
. . .
"That's it."
She walked into the void the clouds above clearing up.
Osiris walked for what felt like miles, her shoes getting worn with every step on the hot black, and glassy surface. Her shoes almost melting at the shear heat!
She stopped in the middle of the desert and wrapped her spare shirt around her head.

"Man it is hot here!"
She opens her flask, tipping her head back.
"Huh?!??"
To her surprise very little water dropped out of it.
"How am I out of water already?!?"
She throws her flask to the ground.
"Shit!"
How did I go through a weeks worth of water in a day?!?
She pounds her fist into the ground.
"Damnit, Damnit, DAMNIT!"
She pulls her fist up, blood pours from the bottom of her fist.
"Uh?"
She looks at the sand again. The bright glass shards stained red with her blood.
"I need to get to the oasis on the map!"
She wraps her hand and gets up marching off into the desert again.
The last thing I need is an infection...
She marched into the desert night.
It got cold....fast...
She started a fire with whatever she had brought but cut her hands up during the process.
She spread her bedsheet with her fire lit, and shivered her way through the night.
She woke up, and packed her bags, her blanket cut up and her shoes almost ruined. Her arms cut and bleeding in some places.
"Maybe I shouldn't of come out here..."
She gazed ahead of her. I must push forward... Revenge is my unstoppable goal...
She got up, her bag full again. As long as I stay straight, I can make it to the oasis and end up refueling for the night!
She marched on with her plan, needing water, and a place to rest that's not swallowed by the ash sea.
She marched on, her shoes breaking down with each step, her mind burning, and her skin boiling.
I've come this far... I can't stop now! She pushes on to the point she seeks.
After hours of walking through the desert, she was tired, hot, and dehydrated.
"The oasis should be around here!"
Osiris turned in every direction, but nothing but sand was miles around her.
"I'm going to die out here !" She laughed, though she felt as she would for a moment.
"Guess I keep going strai-
She stepped and instantly fell down a trench, rolling down the ditch.
She tumbled down and landed on her knees.
"what the hell?!?"
She put her hand down to help herself stand up.
"Huh?!?"
"Is that!?"
She looked down at the ground, it was littered green with grass.
She bolted up, and just as she thought, the oasis was right in front of her. She laughed.
"it was right in front of me?!"
She turned back to where she had fallen from.
"It was illusion magic... For how long has this been casted?!?"
She shook her head, she turned her attention to the water in front of her.
"I can do it!"
"I WILL make it!"
She sprints straight for the water dropping to her knees and drinking every drop she can from her hands.
"Ah!"
She throws her head back, smiling water dripping from her mouth.
Night falls upon her camp next to the water she fills up her canteen watching the sun fall below the ash.
"How does this place even exist?"
"Or how did that man find this Map?!"
"Or why is illusion magic surrounding this place?"
She fell onto her torn bed sheet.
"So weird..."
She pulls her other blanket over her, and sleeps comfortably through the night.
"Hey kid!"
Osiris looks up, the rain pours from the outside of her barrel, her brother crying as the thunder shouts.
"You need hel-

Osiris dashes out slashing at the persons ankle.
"huh?!"
The person dodges her attack sending her flying into the wall.
"Hmm, you really aren't that much older then us!"
She turns back to the person sitting atop her barrel. He lights a cigarette.
"Akira!"
The man turns her attention to the voice and Osiris takes that chance to stab him in his side.
"Ah!"
Osiris grabs her brother from the barrel and the large dagger strapped to the wall.
"Hey you little bitch!"
Osiris sprints down the alley.
"Get back here!"
She doesn't even turn her head.
She rounds the corner of the alley pushing a large pile of barrels over as she went.
"Hey girl, come back!" Another voice rang out behind her, but she didn't stop. She kept rounding corners, but she doubted it would for any good since her brother was crying the entire time.
She turned the corner leading to the main road, then she fly's backwards hitting something, or someone.
"Hey!"
She grabs at her knife frantically. But she hears footsteps behind her as well.
"Akira!"
She turns to face the voice.
"I wasn't going to kill her!" He grabs the knife from her hand.
"No!"
Osiris jumps at him.
"Huh?"
She bites down on his wrist, with her baby brother strapped to her back.
"OW!"
He throws her off putting her ass on the ground again.
"WHAAAAAAAAAA"
The poured as the baby cried.
"Nice knife you have here street urchin!"
Akira flips the knife in his hand.
"Who'd you steal it from?"
"Akira, leave the poor girl alone!"
Osiris turns to the girl behind her. The red headed girl standing there exhausted.
"Annya, did you find him!?"
A large burly man appears behind the girl carrying a warhammer.
"Oh yeah she found me Sadoe."
"Good, now who is this?" The red headed man with her knife turns to the burly man.
"Just another petty thief."
Osiris balls her fist and swings at the ref headed man missing him.
"A horrible one at that!"
"Good enough to hit you though, huh akira?"
The red headed man smirks and jumps on a barrel, letting loose the smoke from his lungs.
"Bitch, caught me guard that's all!"
The rain continues to beat down on the group.
"so girl!"
Osiris looks to the woman.
"Who'd you steal that knife from?"
"It's a fine work, only could be stolen from a nobleman."
"The engravings are especially pretty."
Osiris stood in silence.
"Answer the question urchin."
Isis cried continuing to hit by rain.
Osiris was just bidding her time, waiting for the opening to grab her knife and run.
Then the thunder struck and she grabbed the knife straight from the mans hand.
"Nope where you think you're going!"
The man grabs her hood. Osiris swings back
"HAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Osiris yells swinging the knife around as the engravings glow.
"I am not a street urchin!!"
He let's go of her hood avoiding the knife
Osiris aims it at the woman, the glowing gets brighter and brighter.
"Wha-
The blade shoots a bolt of light out at the woman, ripping straight through her!
"Annya!"
Akira runs to her sister.
"Sadoe, take this bitch out!"
Osiris turns to run, noticing the wound in the mans side gone.
She gets caught by Sadoe, throwing her against the wall causing her to be facing the woman she just shot.
"Shit that kinda hurt girl!"
"Huh?!"
Annya stands up but falls to her knee, her stomach smoking.
"I like you."
Osiris awoke the next morning. She looks around, but doesn't waste Much time, She packs her bag taking the map out, and fixing her shoes the best she could. She looks at which way the lake sputters out, and begins in that direction towards her final goal. The treasure.
"Come to think of it that guy didn't even say what the treasure was!"
"Damn shame... Didn't I really walk out here to find nothing?"
...
"No I will find the tomb or whatever word he said was out here!"
She marched on and left the magical oasis, taking one last look.
Osiris marched onto her final destination, she opened the map checking every detail on the worn map she could.
"My dream said I could use it to claim my revenge, so is it a weapon?"
Osiris pondered what could be at her final destination.
"Maybe it's a army of the undead!"
She scoffed, necromancy was so rare it was practically a myth. Though she has met necromancers, most necromancers are simple people who just happened to be able to raise the dead. Then there are the ones who use it to gain power.
Osiris snapped back into it smirking.
"Maybe I'll finally have magical powers!"
She laughed.
I better get there and find out!
Osiris walked for many more hours, only drinking water when necessary, and stopping very few times in general.
"Where is it?!"
She looked around, nothing for miles.
"Maybe it's just like the oasis!"
She reached her hands out but nothing. Then she reached for the map.
"I should be close as I possibly can get to the location!"
"Did I get tricked by that old man?!!"
She looks at the map again.
"Fuck!" She throws it down on the ground stomping on.
"Shit, shit, SHIT!"
She falls to her knees.
"I guess my hunch, and my dreams were wrong."
She reached for her family's knife.
"I will never be able to avenge you my family."
"Why did I have to bear this burden alone?"
"Why did I have to be the one to survive!"
Osiris breaks down her hands beginning to bleed from sitting in the sand.
"There were so many stronger people to survive, but why me!"
She reaches for the sky, her hand red with blood.
"Why me!!"
The earth rumbles below her.
"Huh?"
The sand shakes and trembles as a summoning circle appears below her.
It was absolutely massive like 30 feet all around her was the edge.
The ground continued to shake, as a stairway appeared below on the edge of the circle, each stair clicking every time it appeared.
"What the hell?!
The rumblings stopped but the clicks continued. Osiris walked up to the stairways beginning, cold air chilled her frame.
"is this the treasure?
. . .
"Who even uses summoning circles?!?"
"This must be way older then I thought it was!"
She rushed down the steps, each one made of obsidian glass, the walls made of solid steel.
"Who woulda built something so complex out here?"
She continued down the stairs, to the point where she couldn't even see anymore, so she pulled out her dagger to use as light. It lit up the stairway. The stairs seemed to go down for miles and miles, it took hours for her to ascend them.
The metal down here was old, very very old.
She managed to find the end of the stairs, a long hallway bringing her to two large doors. Both having two weapons on them, a scythe and a knife, the doors where obsidian as well.
Osiris sighed.
"Here goes nothing!"
She swings the doors open, and the room lights up.
Blue fire has the entire room in a dark yet bright glow.
"It was set off by the doors!?"
Osiris has never seen anything like this place before.
"Woah.."
Osiris looks out into the room, there was no gold, nor weapon, just an absolutely massive pyramid in the middle of a huge 10 story tell dome room. Paintings old, and faded liter the walls and ceiling of this room, showing warriors fighting with the weapons on the doors. They even have a painting showing soul binding!
"This is... This is incredible!"
She runs forward without a second thought, what lays on top of the massive pyramid!
She darted up the stairs the echo of everything was ten fold.
What awaits me up here?!?
The thought of such a monster building, and what could all of this be hiding?!?
And how old was this building?!?
It may date all the way back to the battle of the warlords!!
She got to the top of the stairs exited to see what lay in wait for her.
"Wha-what?!"
She got to the too of the pyramid, there lay skeleton on skeleton on skeleton.
Bodies and bodies grasping for whatever item lay dormant on the alter at the top of the pyramid.
She looks to the alter, whatever it was that they were reaching for killed them...
She got closer.
And closer..
And closer..
She stopped and right at the foot of the skeletons.
There dormant lay 2 rings, both having words engraved into them.
'Avo' and 'Reign' both sharing a royal blue cushion below them.
Osiris reached at the ring, but stopped.
"Something killed these men..."
. . .
"It was their weakness!"
Osiris drew her knife launching it at the voice that was over her shoulder.
"They aren't like you, bear the rings."
"Bear them!"
Voices surrounded her, yelling, yet.. whispering at the same time.
"You're different, you are THE one."
"You are a Grey'Mor!"
She swung at that voice knowing she wouldn't hit anything
She began to walk down the pyramid.
"I knew this was a bad idea!"
She hit the bottom of the stairs when the blue flames went out.
"Huh?!"
She watched as the last one disappeared.
She took her dragon knife out, running towards the exit.
"Osiris..."
She stopped in her tracks.
"A...Anubis?"
She turned to the voice. There she saw her brother.
"Osiris.. Go grab the rings."
"Wha-
"Osiris, I promise... They can help you track the men who killed me."
"You aren't real!"
"And? I still speak the truth."
"Get out of my head demon!
"She swings at the imitation.
"Goodbye Osiris."
He waved at his sister and faded into the darkness.
She turned back towards where she thought the door was.
And she ran.
"Osiris."
She turns to a new voice, one she had hardly heard before.
"You need us as much as we need you."
She saw the infinite stairway spiraling into the dark void.
"Let me ou-
"Please Osiris, I have vengeance to claim as much as you do."
. . .
"So go, grab us."
"Grab you?"
"Wait who are yo-
And they faded into the void as well.
The torches light come back to the tomb.
"The choice is your's."
Osiris turned to the door, then looked back the pyramid.
"Son of a bitch."
She took her step back up the pyramid. With each step the whispers got louder and louder.
She finally reached the summit again and stepped into her fate.
She took in one last deep breath, and reacher her hand out to pick up the rings. As soon as she touched them the whispers changed words.
"WEAR THEM!"
"WEAR THEM!"
"BEAR THE BURDEN!"
Osiris did what they told, she put the rings on her middle and pinky finger.
She waited to see what would happen.
"Hmm, maybe I'm ok-
The shock was sent through her body, she raised her hand to the sky and watcher as the rings adjusted to the size of the fingers she put them on, she tried to pull the one on her pinky off, but it was stuck... It had become a part of her.
Her veins started glowing Bright blue and Green.
Her body was thrashing in pain, she had half lost control of it.
"Stop, Stop STOP!"
Her request was left unanswered as arm went numb.
"Shit!"
She tripped down the stairs and fell all the way down to the bottom of the stairway.
She hit the bottom and looked towards the door.
"Daichi... I'm sorry..
As she said that a person appeared in the doorway, and the earth began to rumble again.
"Osiris!"
The person was blurry and started towards her, but she didn't see who it was.
She reached her one good hand towards the person.
"An...Anubis."
There she collapsed, left to die in a tomb, just like the rest of them.
Like the street urchin she was....
