《Dark Base written by Travis Willier》Chapter 003 Samantha Part 1

The night shift was half way through. It was dead hours so I started my rounds walking down the halls of the Egypt museum night security paid quite a bit. But also ran the risk of thieves trying to raid and steal. So we're always armed,
"Samantha, come in, how's it looking out there?" I reached for my radio to communicate with Catie, Catie was my second back up and she also ran the cameras when Johnny wasn't In.
Tonight was one of those nights.
"Yeah, so far it's still good."
"Great, that's what I like to hear."
"Another night, another couple hundred on the month's payroll,
Nothing down here shall I check the Egypt exhibition?"
Over the small radio on my shoulder Catie speaks.
"Naw, the cameras don't see anything, just come back and forget the sound, it's probably a big rat."
"You're right, yeah I could use another coffee. Catie, is there any left or did you drink it all?"
A short pause from Catie then she replied.
"Ugh, No, I didn't, there's still some, you know what, maybe checkout that new exhibit."
I smiled, shaking my head.
"Yeah, yeah, I will take extra steps, maybe catch a glimpse of the new exhibit."
I walked around the corner and down the large hallway in the museum. It was dim lighting in the evening, so I still carried my flashlight, the black uniform also came with pepper spray, and my name tag and security badge also the shoulder radio.
I walked past the security room and stopped to take a peep inside.
I see Catie, making new coffee.
I shake my head and smile to myself, I look back at Catie bending over to look for the coffee in the lower cupboard, catie's ass was so enticing in her civilian black leggings. She never wore her uniform but that's between me and her plus I liked to eat her out whenever I got the chance. I brushed my black hair strand behind my ear, then I shut the door and kept walking for the new exhibit area. Following down the halls of the huge museum.

To my left and right were old pictures of Egypt and after that a hallway to the left that had the Saqqara Tablet. But I'm heading to a new part of the museum being built. There was a fresh discovery recently that connects ancient Egypt to ancient Mesopotamia, sharing with one another agriculture and technology.
Supposedly the start of civilization according to some new ancient stone tablets.
Wait what is that I hear a muffled distorted voice in the distance, I shut off my light, then listen closer and take lighter steps to try to get a jump on whoever is around the corner.
I hear one of the random intruders talking quietly,
"They really have no clue what these tablets do."
I turn the corner and could see a group of men in black outfits with harnesses on they had guns with silencer attachments,
They meant to kill whoever tried to stop them. I pulled out my 45 pistol and held by myside. with a red dot sight and light attachment.
I walked as silent as I could and my heart started to beat out of my chest.
"St.. stop! PUT THE TABLET BACK!"
I stepped out, pointing my 45 pistol at the man holding the tablet while the others put their hands on the guns they had hanging on their sides.
" DON'T! EVEN FUCKING TRY I WILL BLOW A 5 INCH HOLE IN ANYONE WHO WANTS TO TEST MY AIM!"
The men put up their hands. "Good now put the tablet back, no one has to get hurt."
I felt a swift strike to the back of my head.
I fell to the ground and everything went black.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment.
