Chapter 4

Arriving at Hogwarts Alex couldn’t help be amazed even though he had already read Hogwarts: A history. Magic was real it wasn’t fake it was real everything he saw was as amazing as the book said… no… It was better than Alex thought to himself.

But before Alex could get to the great hall an older women with green eyes and a pointy hat appeared in front of them. “Hello first years I will lead you to the sorting hat ceremony a hat that sorts you into what house you will be placed into, all second years and above proceed to the Great Hall” The women said.

Alex couldn’t help but remember Hogwarts: A history. He remembered the hat and the Great Hall. The Great Hall was bewitched to look like they where dining outside the ceiling was starry it had levitating candles. It was beautiful.

Alex and all the other first year students followed the older women after she was done explaining everything.

Stopping in front of the hat Ginny and Alex were picked first .

Ginny sat down but like Draco the previous year she was instantly put into Gryffindor. There was a huge applause from the Gryffindor table, Ginny got up and sat down next to Nevil and her other friends .

It was Alex’s turn he was nervous on the inside but there was no trace of it on his face he looked and saw Dumbledore sitting down.

Dumbledore nodded towards Alex, he understood Alex was nervous. Why wouldn’t he be what house he got would determine his friends for the next seven years.

As Alex sat down the sorting hat started mumbling. “Ravenclaw?... Maybe, smart… a craving for knowledge… yes but what about Gryffindor… Hmm.. very rare… very brave… the heart of a lion…

GRYFFINDOR !!”.

Alex was ecstatic he could be with his friends Ron his sitter Ginny, Harry and Hermione.

Another uproar of applause from Gryffindor’s dining table. All the tables were divided by their houses Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Hufflepuff.

Hearing the applause prompted alex to get up and sit next to Hermione facing Harry and Ron.

“Congratulations! You’ve been sorted into the best house in Hogwarts!” Ron said proudly.

“ I’m sure you’ll fit right in just don’t let the other girls tease you" Hermione added with a smile. Alex was a good looking kid he was considered above average amongst his peers only time could tell if he would get better looking or not.

Dumbledore took a glance at Alex and thought to himself. Like he who could not be named. Intelligent yet Handsome one in Gryffindor one in Slytherin. Only time will tell which path of the prophecy he will take.

After a couple of Hatstalls, students who took longer than five minutes to be sorted into their house and the rest of the first year students were sorted Dumbledore shouted, “ Now that all the students have been settled in let the banquet begin!”

Hundreds upon hundreds of dishes full of food appeared on the four dining tables. All the students ate till they were full some even had to adjust their robes in order to fit more delicious cuisine.

Alex couldn’t help but start to get a bad feeling in his stomach like something bad was about to happen.

__4 Private Drive Z. Residence__

“How do you think our son is doing ? Do you think hes eating en… “

*knock* *knock*

A knock came from the door. Jhon Z. Went to check it out but when he opened the door there was a stick like object approximately ten inches staring him in the face.

“Where’s the boy?!” The man wearing a brown trenchcoat stood on the other side of the stick exclaimed “For get it I’ll find him myself! Avada Kedavea" the Man followed shouting with a green light in front of the stick.

Jhon Z. Fell lifeless on the ground creating a thud causing Sam, jhon's wife to check the front door.

“Who are…? What did you do to jhon?!” seeing jhon on he ground Sam yelled in crying pain hoping for her husband would get up. She kneeled down to jhon.

Another green light came from the stick. It’s a wand? The same as Dumbledore’s? She thought to herself.

After the spell was completed another lifeless thud pursued.

“Damn it he’s not here ?” the man grunted angrily. After searching the house he could only find empty rooms.

__ Hogwarts hallway__

Approximately 2 hours later

“All the Gryffindor students fallow me” Percy Weasley said a perfect who was Ron’s brother, Ron was proud of Percy so he talked about him in the Great hall earlier to the new students including Alex.

They finally got to stairs, not just any stairs they were the Grand staircase.

“Don’t stand around, you’ll get lost very easily” Percy warned “Follow me the” red haired Percy followed his previous statement.

They finally got to a painting. “Password please” the figure asked. “grasslake" Percy replied.

The painting swung open and refueled a passage way. All the students followed Percy in. Percy directed them to the Hogwarts common room and the boys and girls dormitory.

Alex went up to his room to find his stuff neatly laid on his bed spotting the Glossy blue ball. Alex went up to pick up the ball, he got the same pain in his stomach no… his heart this time it was his heart. Alex could sense something had gone wrong but what?

A boy rushed in where Alex was staying in and said “You’re Alex right?, “Yes? Why?” Alex replied.

“Dumbledore is looking for you. You should hurry to him" the boy replied to Alex's question.

Alex put the glossy ball in his pocket and went to Dumbledore’s chambers. Alex asked for directions along the way as he didn’t know where it was located.
