I looked at myself in the reflection of the windows that reflected back my image, the blue power space suit I was wearing would protect and keep me alive on Mars.

Just how much it would protect me is the real question, I placed my matching blue helmet on my head, the visor tinted black.

But it lit up readings of my vitals and of my team and navigational maps. Even their names above the heads of my team members.

I picked up my assigned Tesla battle rifle off the weapons racks and entered the drop pod. I grabbed a seat sitting next to my best friend Max, he was my back up through training, the shoulder restraints came down on our shoulders,and the belly restraints secured us in the ship.

"Ready for the fight bro!"

Max looked at me with a smiling expression.

"Oh yeah! Those bugs won't know how to solve this problem!"

"Fucking rights were going to crush the Bug Infestations, I brought along my flame thrower barrel attachment."

"Nice."

Max said and nodded his head moving his lips In a puckered motion and his eyebrows in a shock but satisfaction expression.

"I brought along that!"

and Max pointed across the drop pod hall to the weapons racks to the Rocket launcher, with a missile guided attachment.

I clapped at the sight.

"You always did have a head for the bigger picture Max."

He looked at me and said,

"You see that one next to it, bro I knew you didn't think much about it and I brought one along for you as well bro.!"

"You serious! MAn!"

He smiled and I shot back a quick "thanks!"

"Main com run the mission for us again on the drop."

A voice sounded over the intercom,

"Most certainly." The holographic display showed drop pods leaving the space station dock.

Drop pods shot put from the giant white mechanical Globe, one after another like a revolving gun.

Towards their drop points.

We sat in the pod watching the holographic display show us Mars, and the orbit the globes will travel around Mars.

There were 50 globes all with thousands of space trained marines ready to unleash the superior strength of the military elite in the milky way.

First planetary take over Mars. which was heavily infested with Bugs.

The holographic display showed how we were launched into the planet and how our thrusters would kick in and land at the designated areas, not all drop pods were marines, some were filled with advanced weapons and supplies that were only accessible throughout our Blue Marine Space suits. Those supply pods were shaped more like giant black pyramids.

The com voice explained

" You are all being dropped at the edge of Arabia Terra there you all will fight the incoming Bug waves.

We are dropping a self making base, that upon landing will deploy and will require you all to fortify as Arabia Terra Forward Operating Base 1 know as (AT FOB1 )

It will have heavy advanced laser turret systems that will help defend the base.

They are robotic controlled but at any moment can be accessed by your battle suits.

The base comes with walking mech units and driveable Tesla tech Tanks and trucks.

Which are all battle suit accessible.

They are all fitted with the most advanced state of the art weapon tech and defense systems.

The insect infestation is made up of many different kinds of bugs of which you come across any new ones you must scan and record all findings and relay them back from the bases.

The most common bug is the Pincher. They have large man chopping pinchers that are located on the head much like the ants or the praying Mantis on the planet earth. Second on the list is the crawlers. They have many legs and are quite fast. You must be very careful with these ones. They can poison it's victim and use the body to make more of the insectoid offspring.

Third on the list is the giant plasma bugs.

They use the bioluminescent energy they conjugate and the chemical entropy sends an explosive plasma into space which burns out and becomes meteors in the asteroid belt. Very dangerous, use extreme caution while cleaning these giant bugs out.

Fourth on the list is the arthropod insectoids. They are highly esoteric and have evolved using highly effective esoteric universal energy they can read minds and do highly effective hypnosis.

Have fun cleaning up and paving a way for all our future, your future."

The drop pods were making their way across the dark sea of space into the atmosphere of Mars thousands of drop pods and bases.

Then the blue plasma meteors started to hit and blow up some of the incoming spaceships killing platoons Marine's in the fiery quick explosions.

Space debris littered everywhere.

We continued our navigated descent.

"This is what we Trained for Dark Squad!"

I spoke out to the Dark squad team.

"This is the day we kill every last one of The infestations. We claim Mars with our military superiority!"

Max and the other Dark squad members roared

"For the Dark Fleet."

The ships entered the atmosphere and it rocked the ship with waving turbulents.

Under the cover of the Mars stormy night we landed,the shoulder and body restraints released and we got up running out with fellow marines charging in the desert storm.

The large crater had a large sizable entrance into the side of the craters wall.

We all lined up and aimed at the entrance in lined formations.

"Explosives squad move In and close the bug entrance!"

"You got it sir!"

The crew of five explosive engineers moved in.

I looked up at the sky and wondered when our damn base was gonna land.

The Marines kept their aim as the engineers got closer and started to set up the explosives.

"All clear sir, cover us we are coming back."

A loud shriek rang out over the com links in the helmets of every marine.

then out rushed what appeared to be thousands pinchers chopping the engineers in half.

"Everyone open Fire!"

The green blasts rang across the Arabia Terra Crater. Cutting down the Pincher force but it wasn't enough like a wave in a sea the insectoids rushed in through our fire power. Inching closer with every reload.

The Mars desert floor ran yellow with insectoid blood. But soon enough also ran red with our Reptilian humanoid blood.

As our left flank of the Dark squad started to take heavy casualties.

The Pinchers were tearing apart the Marines by the limb and crawlers would finish the downed bloody marines.

Max looked at me and said, "General, what do we do?"

"Fall back, keep formation dont stop firing."

Then from the top of the crater a giant plasma bug crawled over and started blasting incoming supply drops and marine ships.

"Nooooo! Those giant fuckers"

I looked at max.

"It's time to bring out the launchers."

We both shouldered our launchers while the other marines covered our setup.

Blasting the incoming Pinchers bug waves saving our hides.

"On three….. three!"

We both blasted the rockets and they were guided to the creature just as it was lighting up readying to fire, the blast was a huge blue and red explosion that filled the stormy Mars night sky.

Then out from the explosion I seen it our FOB 1

Falling in from the sky.

I looked at Max and we both fist bumped.

The pyramid landed and unfolded into the Forward Operating Base. The advanced turret systems went to work on the bug population till the force of Pinchers had no choice but to retreat.

The tanks from the pyramid FOB1 moved in and used their flamethrowers and chased the bugs back into the cave. The engineers team had a truck follow the retreating insects and flame tesla Tanks to continue the work of the first team connecting the relays and Booom! The bug entrance was sealed.

All that remained was us beaten marines FOB1 and the remains of all the Pinchers and dead marines.

Hero's in my eyes.

Our first battle was victorious.

We immediately manned the base taking control of the first Forward Operating Base in Arabia Terra.

I made my way to the Admiral command center to relay our progress.

" Admiral Command we have taken control of the first operations base, we suffered many casualties requesting more troops."

"As expected more troops will be deployed, very good work my son this is the first step to our Mars Civilization."

"Mother, I will not fail you!"

I ended the com link to Catie Mars Admiral Command center.

And looked at Max.

"Rest up we got a lot of work ahead of us."
