Tidit! Tidit! Tidit!
The alarm that Hichiroku had set before he went to bed rang loudly. Turning off the alarm, He lightly tapped on the digital clock that he had put near his pillow. A big yawn escaped from his wide opened mouth as he descends from his bed. He looked at his digital clock.
5 AM.
“It has been quite a long time since I last wake up this early.” He thought to himself
Hichiroku is Ichiroku real name. He had dropped the alphabet ‘H’ in his name when during the character creation. He had thought about using a random name during the character creation phase. However the names that he had chosen had already been used by other players. Thus he adapted a new name, from Hichiroku to Ichiroku.
While many others spent 20 hours or more in Einstel Online a day in real world, he had spent about 11 – 16 hours regularly and often went to sleep when he had his brain worked over. Had he have another things to do, he would only play the game for 5 hours max.
He had made his character randomly without looking for information in the official page. He was never serious in playing Einstel Online because he had planned to sell the Monolith Capsule, get money and continue on playing lottery in real life. The very prove of it was his never ending complains and half hearted action when playing Einstel Online. The only reason why he desperately tries to finish the quest that he had accepted was due to his desire to gamble and play the lotteries at the Game Centre.
However, Hichiroku has entirely different reason now. To be accurate, he had a new reason for playing Einstel Online. A few days ago his presence was asked at Einstel Game. Bringing along the documents and the contract offer, he was received at the receptionist as a VIP. He was not to be kept waiting; as two young ladies led him directly to the CEO of Einstel Game office.
Einstel Game was founded by a person called Mr. Le Roy Basel. Starting from a small company a few decades ago, he and his comrades thrive to make a game that can satisfy human desire. Starting from Visual Novel to RPG, they had released countless game that cannot be count by fingers. Nonetheless it was until a few years ago, Einstel Game was a no-name company.

The uprising of Einstel Game began when they introduced a game that could set human limit free in a new world call Einstel World; it was from the help of their main programmer Mr. Satty that the virtual reality was made.
However, it was just a few month ago when Einstel Online server was brought online. People are most fascinated by the game for the essence of realism that it had. The disabled can walk, the blind can see, the mute can talk. With the slogan ‘set your limit off from human’, Einstel Online introduced 4 main races in the game.
Elves, Orc, Dwarf and Beast,
A few months after the server was brought online, Einstel Game has introduced another race that can be chosen by players, the Human race. However, unforeseen glitch had happened when the update was ongoing due to a severe lags, this had caused a major problem with the update patch. Players were not able to choose human as their race.
Einstel Game had tried a lot of things to fix the bugs and error but it was to no luck.
Mr. Satty who was their main genius programmer had retired from game making and no longer working with Einstel Game. Fortunately they managed to get in touch with him; however Mr. Satty the genius himself was not able to resolve the issue. Thus, he had sent one of his students to crack the code and fix the error. At best that they managed to done, was changing the patch index and create a new series of quests to unlock the Human race instead of unlocking it altogether.
Human race is now selectable by player who has Monolith Capsule. There are only about 25 Monolith Capsules that had been distributed across the world. About half of Monolith Capsule owner had logged into the game. Although Human race are selectable by Monolith Capsule users, none of them desired to be human because of the huge drawback and limitless unknown restriction that had been put onto human.
Einstel Game had thought about making a new Monolith Capsule and hires a person to do the quest for them. However, Monolith Capsule was personally engineered by Mr. Satty and there is no other mean for them to obtain Monolith Capsule other than getting it directly from Mr. Satty. Unfortunately, after Mr. Satty sent his disciple there was no more news that was heard from him.

They had tried to convince every owners of Monolith Capsule during their character creations to play as human; however there is no one that interested even if there were cash included in the offer.
But their search had finally come to an end. The man who shoulders the fate of Human race is now standing in front of the Einstel Game CEO, Van Petrol.
Looking at Hichiroku with a smile full of delight, Van Petrol offered his handshake. Van Petrol was a man of 2 meters tall, wearing a black suit with a nicely pulled back hairstyle, wearing fashionable glasses completing his ‘white collar’ looks.
“I’m glad you can make it here.” Van Petrol said.
“Same here.” Hiciroku replied short.
“Please take your seat.” Van Petrol added while showing his hand to a long sofa at one corner of his office.
Van Petrol took out a thick envelope from his table walked to his way near Hichiroku. He took out the content of the envelope and placed it softly onto the small table in front of Hichiroku.
“This is the official contract that our company had prepared beforehand. I take that you had completely read the agreement and offer that we had written down.”
“Yeah… I read it.” Hichiroku said with a smile.
“I will state down the agreement that we had offered once again for confirmation. As what I had said from our recent chat, we will be broadcasting your adventures in Einstel Organization Life Broadcast. From every views and rating that you got, we will be giving you a downright payment as soon as you wish for it to be made, which is a week after the video brought online at Einstel Game website.
As you sign this contract, you will become one of our thousands employees. Your monthly pay would be 5 000 dollars, please be aware that we are using real life month rather than Einstel World month. However! We realize that 5 000 dollars alone won’t be enough for you as this quest is a high level quest. Thus, we will increase your wage based on your performances.
Not only that, we are also willing to pay for your electricity bill in your stead. Having Monolith Capsule for 24/7 would surely put a bang of load on your electricity bills. We are also willing to hear your opinion on the matter regarding to Einstel Online. Now, any question that you want to ask or hear?” Van Petrol said.
“There is only one thing. You said that there will be a programmer or some sort that will accompany me in my journey right?”
“Yes, and what of it?”
“Do you have any info that I can rely one for future reference?”
“I don’t think there is a need for that as you had actually met her, but I only say that she’s a very reliable person. She’s the first disciple of Mr. Satty in programming. Well she still has her issues but, I think you will get along just fine with her. Also, we cannot help you regarding money in Einstel Online. You have to work on your own to fund your travel expense in the game just like a normal player.”
“… …” Hichiroku only nodded. Deep inside his heart he already knew who the person that Van Petrol was talking about was. “Get along just fine? Pftt….” That was what he thought.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
