Hadlar looked miserable as he lost his left arm. Almost all of his 300-400 minions were dead. Only a dozen or so remained. Blood was trickling on his cut left arm and chest, while burn marks can be seen in his cloak.

In front of him, Kuro, Dai and Hyunckel were slowly walking towards him. Pop remained in the air while silently preparing his spells again. Maam and Leona were at the back, just as they have planned, waiting for an opportunity to either attack or flee, depending on the reaction of the monster horde.

“Damnit Flazzard!”

“Get your ass over here!”

Flazzard, who was busy raining down his ice and fire spells towards the barrier, stopped and looked at Hadlar’s direction. Even though they were more than a kilometer away, Flazzard has good eyesight. He immediately ordered his lava monsters and ice monsters to go with him to help Hadlar.

“My brethren, come with me and slay these heroes!”

“Let us aid the stupid Hadlar who has fallen into their trap.”

Upon hearing Flazzard’s comment, Hadlar’s eyebrows twitched, but he didn’t argue. He is now on the defense against this group of young heroes, arousing a feeling of shame in his heart.

“It will take a dozen or more breaths before his reinforcements get here.”

“Proceed as planned!”

After hearing the cue, the young heroes proceeded to ignite their cosmos/aura/magic once more. This made Hadlar panic. The latter immediately conjured a blood barrier using his own blood. This barrier can last up to 30 breaths of time and it will not take any damage, except from skills/techniques of the 8th sense (Omega) and Magic/Spells that can destroy the cities.

“It worked!” Kuro and Dai simultaneously shouted.

With a grin, the both of them turned around to flee! The same goes for Hyunckel, Maam and Leona! Hadlar, who poised himself with his hands over his head, could not see nor hear anything while inside his blood barrier. Unknown to him, his secret life saving skill was already seen thru by Avan, and the latter already told his disciples about it.

During the planning of the ambush, this crucial piece of information prompted Kuro to design this specific machination in order to greatly weaken Hadlar’s fighting capability. Afterwards, all of them will retreat while Pop will cast all of his prepared spells while in the air. Afterwards, Pop will also retreat and rendezvous with them 5 km away from the ambush site.

While rushing towards Hadlar, Flazzard knew that something was up. However, upon seeing the blood barrier and the retreat of the young heroes, he was careless. He just directly rushed towards Hadlar and ordered his troops to guard it.

“Guard Hadlar until the blood barrier dissipates!”

“I’ll go back and continue to destroy the Imperial Barrier.”

After giving out his orders, Flazzard turned around to leave. But in less than half a breath’s time, he felt danger. He quickly spun around used both of his hands to conjure and fire and ice shield towards his front.

“Three-Phased Gigadein!”

“Lava Coated Meteor Storm!”

“Icicle Whirlwind!”

Pop simulateanously casted three of the most powerful spells in his arsenal while chugging on a Mana Potion. Afterwards, he immediately flew towards the rendezvous point that they had agreed upon.

With another surprise attack, all of Flazzard’s minions, who did not know how to defend against spells, were struck squarely. All of them were wiped out in an instant! Even Hadlar’s barrier were blown away, as the level of magic that Pop unleashed could destroy cities!

With the loss of hundreds of skeletons, zombies, banshees, lava monsters and ice monsters, the monster horde was now 1/5 less than its original numbers. The pressure from maintaining the Imperial Barrier greatly decreased and the Imperial King did not need to offer his blood that often. This made him realize that somehow, reinforcements had come, properly the vanguard of the Heroes Combined Army.

Hadlar was now in a more miserable state. His internal injuries were now far worse than how it was initially. Flazzard, on the other hand, lost his right leg and right arm (his lava side). Both of them had difficulties standing up. After a dozen breaths of time, both of them were rescued by Death, who appeared out of thin air.

“Let us depart for now.”

“Genya and Avan are here.”

“Vearn will be able to heal the both of you.”

Afterwards, Death and the two became transparent as they faded into the background. Then, the roars of Beelzebub could be heard as he was hit hard by a powerful spell.

“Beelzebub! You will not leave here alive!”

“Dark Metamorphosis!”

“Ultimate Soul Steal!”

This powerful attack was unleashed by Genya, who is now in his Alucard form. This attack was directed towards the soul and it bypass the thick defense of Beelzebub’s body. This attack is also an area-wide one, and all of the flies of Beelzebub were also killed.

Genya, Julius, Yoko and Hammer arrived together with numerous Vampire Hunters and soldiers of the army.

Avan, Brokeena and Matoriv also arrived while leading 10 Hero guilds comprised of warriors, knights and magicians.

Cancer Schiller and Scorpio Sonia accompanied several Silver Saints and Bronze Saints also led hundreds of Steel Saints as they marched towards the remaining monsters.

Genya’s initial attack was the cue that the Heroes Combined Army was waiting for. They all rushed towards the battle field, unleashing their skills in order to deal with the remaining monsters. Beelzebub was quickly defeated by Genya, and he was finished off by Julius who casted his ultimate technique.

“Die Lord of Flies!”

“Holy Cross!”

Genya and Avan, with their keen eyesight, could see that numerous bodies of monsters were piled up a kilometer away. They also noticed traces of large-scale spells and techniques and even the ”X” mark were Hadlar stood previously.

“Looks like the young ones arrived here first.”

“This army was probably led by Hadlar and Flazzard, seeing the bodies of these monsters, together with the Lord of Flies.”

“A pity that the two commanders escaped.”

Genya then looked into the far distance while contemplating something.

“These are mere cannon fodder. We should be wary of Orlox and Death.”

Avan also looked into the far distance and agreed with a nod.

“That’s correct. Also, we need to be careful of Vearn and the Judges of the Underworld.”
