A monster horde comprising of winged monsters, lava monsters, ice monsters, skeletons, zombies, peeping eyes, axe armors, giant bats and banshees were attacking the barrier of the Imperial Kingdom.

The Imperial King (Leona’s Father) opted to activate the Imperial Barrier upon seeing the thousands of monsters comprising the monster horde. The Imperial Barrier was a trump card of the kingdom and it has defended against monster hordes in the past. It is powered up by the Imperial Magicians by channeling their mana and power towards the center of the barrier’s formation.

The royal messenger made its way to the throne room while being led by a dozen Imperial Knights.

“Greetings Your Majesty!”

“I have come bearing good news.”

“We have successfully contacted Sanctuary.”

“Hero Avan is sending Dai, Hyunckel, Princess Leona and the others to aid our kingdom.”

“Hero Avan is leading the 10 Teams from the Heroes Guild.”

“Genya and Yoko are leading a delegation of priests from the church as well as 3 battalions from Japan’s Army.”

“Athena Sapphire is sending her Steel Saints Army, a Dozen Bronze Saints, 6 Silver Saints and a couple of Gold saints to aid us.”

“They should arrive within 2 to 3 days.”

A smile can be seen on the face of the Imperial King upon hearing this.

“Our Imperial Barrier can hold on for a week at the least.”

“Once the heroes arrive, we will deactivate the barrier and charge out to meet these monsters in battle.”

“Imperial Knights, heed my call!”

“Half of you will guard the Imperial Magicians powering the barrier’s formation.”

“Half of you, come with me to battle after two days!”

“Dismissed!”

Suddenly, a loud bang can be heard as the barrier began to shake after being hit with tremendous force.

“Despair, mortals!”

“Demon King Hadlar is here!”

“I will annihilate all those who oppose us!”

“The Imperial Kingdom will fall!”

“Merazoma!!!”

Notifications rang on the Imperial King's mind sa he took note of the situation of the Barrier.

"Ding!"

"A strong attack has hit the barrier!"

"Barrier HP - 1000!"

Hadlar’s Merazoma was on a whole different level. Cracks can be seen on the part of the barrier that it hit. But the cracks were immediately mended due to the mana and energy being channelled by the Imperial Magicians in the core of the barrier’s formation.

A loud snarl can be heard after Hadlar was finished casting his fireballs.

“Your Mera’s are so weak, Hadlar!”

“Let me show you what a true Merazoma should look like!”

“Scarlet Merazoma!”

“Shining Hyado!”

A freak of nature can be seen appearing beside Hadlar. This freak’s body is comprised of half lava and half ice. He calls himself Flazzard and he is another minion of Vearn. Multiple cracks can be seen on the Imperial Barrier as the attacks bombarded the same spot. But still, the cracks were mended in the speed visible to the naked eye.

“Looks like your attacks are also weak, freak!”

Hadlar can be seen mocking Flazzard on the side.

“Bah! These weak humans are hiding inside this shell.”

“Let me see how long can you guys withstand my attacks.”

With a thought, Flazzard continued to attack the Imperial barrier. Hadlar also joined in the attacks, and both of them hitting the same spot of the barrier over and over again.

“Lava monsters and Ice monsters, attack the barrier!”

“Banshees, use your sound attack on the barrier!”

“Winged monsters, get rocks the size of a small boulder and hurl them towards the barrier.”

“Skeletons and zombies, claw thru the barrier!”

“Let us destroy the barrier as soon as possible!”

Cold sweat drenched the back of the Imperial King as he viewed the monsters that were constantly attacking the barrier. He held his sceptre and clenched it so tightly that his hands started to bleed.

“I hope Avan and the others make it in time.”

“Else if they don’t, then all of us will die.”

“But we will struggle to the bitter end.”

“Prepare the Altar of Sacrifice!”

“I will use my Imperial Blood to further strengthen the barrier!”

The remaining Imperial Knights half-kneeled on the ground and they said in unison “Yes, your Majesty!”.

On the back of the throne lies a cyan-colored door. The head of the Imperial Knights inserted a cyan-colored key into the keyhole of the said door, afterwards rumbling sounds of different mechanisms could be heard. The door slowly opened and inside a small altar can be seen. The small altar contains the Imperial Symbol of the kingdom, and a small spot with dried blood stains can be seen on the upper right corner of it.

The Imperial King made his way towards the altar, and he used the dagger strapped on his waist to cut his forearm. His ruby-colored blood dripped on the small altar, and after a few breaths a light pillar shone from the altar towards the skies.

The light hit the center of the barrier in the sky, and with it the cracks that were being mended at the speed visible to the naked eye were all fully mended. Cracks did not appear anymore even with the relentless attacks of Hadlar and Flazzard.

A loud mockery can be heard from Hadlar as he belittled the efforts of the Imperial King.

“How long can you withstand the loss of blood, little Imperial King?”

“Our constant attacks will make your blood run dry!”

“All monsters, resume your attacks and do not stop until we have crushed this barrier!”

“I think it’s time to lend us your aid, fiend!”

After a few moments, everyone can feel the ground vibrate. A huge giant with its corroded flesh slowly made its way towards the barrier. Every step it took caused mini-quakes around the area. Standing at almost 30 meters tall, the flesh of this giant was entangled in chains. Huge flies the size of a human can be seen floating around it.

A loud roar emanated from the throat of the giant, as it pointed its fingers towards the barrier.

After a couple of breaths, all of the thousands of flies floating around its body dived towards the Imperial barrier at the speed of sound. The relentless crashing once again cracked the barrier, but the cracks were still mended in the speed visible to the naked eye.
