《Disciples of the Demon king》Chapter 10.3

Kenn frowned “What about these last two in my book?” he held the page out, showing the basic cast and incantation sigils
“Oh, those. Yeah…” the demon looked embarrassed, “those are, as they say, the simplest known versions of their spell types. No needed elements, no specified effect, nothing. When you use them your mana kinda just… does what it wants. For example, if you activate the basic cast with fire mana you’d just end up with an uncontrolled stream of flames, with ice you’ll freeze everything around you, wind you get a tornado, you get it. Super dangerous and unpredictable.”
“Uh… then why did you give them to me?”
“Because frankly, I don’t have any spells for your time affinity. I’d never heard of it before, so… that's the best we got. I’m hoping that when you use these we can at least get some ideas for what we’re working with.” The demon shrugged
Hailey raised her hand. “B-but they don't even know how to cast. I mean me and Ali could use these but…”
“Rub it in why don't you” Giel huffed
“Oh shut it, Giel. The only reason you can't cast is that you never bothered to learn! In Kenn and sandy’s case they only just gained access to their mana. What's your excuse?” Ali lectured
Giel seemed to flinch at the comment but brushed it off just as fast “Fair fair. I still don’t know though are you gonna teach me?”
Ali Glared back at the Demon King, who twiddled his fingers in a wave
“You know what I will.”
What followed was around thirty minutes of Kenn, Sandra, and Giel being yelled at by a scary miniature woman with intermittent explanations on forming sigils.
The way Ali explained the process you would think it was as natural as breathing and her words could be shortened to ‘you just do it’ without losing much of the contents.

Hailey’s attempt at explaining was better but still confusing. Mainly on the account of the unsureness of her words. It was like despite having her magic for years at that point she didn't really know how she used it.
It took both of their explanations and some pointers from the Demon King until the trio finally figured it out.
Casting a spell was kind of like using your mana like ink. Kenn had to write the sigil out in the appropriate node when he did he could feel it activate then he could feed mana into it and sort of push it out to activate it. There would be a draining sensation and his core would dim a bit and that was it.
The Demon King had them practice with a mage hand spell used to lift small objects, included in the back of their books, once he thought they finally had a handle on it, he moved on
“Great! Now l want you to try the spells in your book. Practicing them is the best way to get them memorized so let's start on that.” He grinned a grin that made Kenn want to run and hide “And what better way to do that than in the field. And that my padawans is why I got this.”
He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket

46 Year Old Syndrome
The daily Litrpg journal of a fairly average 46 year old man in a world where hundreds of thousands of people suddenly have a super power.Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.

As time passed, the land started to die, relationships with other nations worsened, and Clawscar was slowly becoming a miserable place to live. However, one night, suddenly, the old, rotting order was swept away by a mysterious storm that left as quickly as it came. The people who lived to see it called it the Ghost Hurricane. Years have passed since the hurricane's rampage. Now, a young man prepares to make his trek across the Empire's Corpse, hoping to learn the truth of things...
