《Kingdom of Tyr (Original)》Chapter 009 - Tyr I

(Tyr)
Huh. He killed her. That was unexpected. I thought it would take him at least another month before he killed someone.
I suppose the conversation with Kyle didn’t help. Colt got uncomfortable fast. Had he not grown scared of having to confess to knowing me, and worried about slipping that he was from another world, Tyler probably would have waited until they returned to the Tower to ask him.
I miss him, and wish he’d come back and play, but with this newcomer, he probably won’t be back for awhile. Better than the last person who said they’d return, though – at least Colt meant it, and still plans on it.
The other person forgot about me within two weeks.
Right now, Colt and Tyler are on staring in shock at what Colt did, neither sure how to react. They’ll recover, though. It might take Colt a little while to get over killing someone, but at heart, he’s worse than his family.
And by the time I tell him the truth about them, he’ll be far more powerful than those freaks. What they did to him wasn’t right, keeping him in the dark about magic just because his father was unfaithful. The only blond among his brothers, who were all brunettes. Their father had the gene for blond hair, while their mother didn’t. The blond bimbo that birthed him dumped him off and told that man that she didn’t want his illegitimate scum.
I made sure she got what she deserved. Colt deserved friends and a happy family. Once he accepts his inner killer, he’ll be very happy, and that’s what matters, because he’s fun.
That doesn’t mean he’ll go around killing people randomly, just that he won’t hesitate to when he needs to. Eventually. It’ll be a long, long time before then. He still has to get over what he just did, and accept that he killed someone.

But the pieces are in motion.
Entering a chamber in the deepest part of my castle, sealed with power no god can defy, I look at the table. A chessboard that’s twenty-by-twenty makes up the surface, a variety of pieces set out.
As I look at the table, the pieces scoot off to the sides, dropping themselves onto the lip just under the surface of the table, and a map forms on the table, a map of the continent they’re currently on.
Pieces begin moving back onto the board, some old, some new. I watch as two dragons make their way onto the board, once a blue so pale, it’s nearly white, its eyes icy, the other crimson as blood, with golden eyes. As they touch each other, they merge into a single, two-headed dragon.
The boys will, indeed, take on the powers of fire and ice, and become a formidable force which will surpass the human who is a Divine Being from his sheer power.
A black dragon sits near them, along with a soldier in frosty armor. Kyle, and the Kielvarn who came to Loritar. A fair distance away, a mountain made of ice, where the kingdom of Kielv sits. It’s not actually a mountain made of ice, but who cares? It looks cool this way.
If it weren’t for that, I’d have turned it into a mountain of ice a long time ago, just because.
Stupid humans and their need to actually eat. Animals and stuff wouldn’t be able to survive without plants and stuff.
Sitting on the mountain is a black and red demon, its face twisted into a sinister laugh. There are a few of those figures sitting across the continent, but that’s the one that matters.
Colt is going to need to kill again, if he wants to stay with Tyler. Tyler will have to kill as well, but he will handle it better. His people have a little less moral standard. Killing other people isn’t beyond them, as long as it isn’t one of their own.

They do it to stay hidden, after all.
Bringing Colt here was definitely the right decision. Not only is it shaking things up on Earth, but it’s changing things here. Tyler wouldn’t have given his all, if he didn’t have Colt to compete against. He wouldn’t be as strong as he is, and would’ve found himself dead within a month.
Once Colt’s powerful enough, I’ll tell him about his family… and let him return, to cause more chaos there.
Let him have his fun. I’ll be changing the System again soon enough, anyway.
I’m surprised that he and Tyler haven’t taken on additional Classes. They can take on three more, but haven’t.
They were probably having so much fun, they forgot.
I laugh when I think about that. That’s actually pretty like them.
And me, to be honest. I sometimes forget to do things when I’m having too much fun. Eat, sleep, adjust the System, send Kirta flowers, create new Dungeons, adjust existing ones, invent new creatures…
You know – normal stuff for the God of Fun and Games. When he’s not having too much fun to remember to actually do that stuff.
I’m bored, so I’m going to throw in some sudden rain and lightning. It’ll shock Colt and Tyler into action.
I let a big bolt flash across the sky, and the boys jump. Tyler tells Colt that they should go, and Colt nods, making his way to the Tower with Tyler. For a little while, he’ll be complacent, compliant, but only Tyler or I will be able to get him to do things.
It won’t be soon, but one day, those two boys will be able to best me in battle, and that is the real game, here.
The battle between them and me will be the most amazing thing I’ll have ever done, the most fun thing to ever happen to me.
“Overcome your trials,” I whisper to the twin-dragon figure. “And become as powerful as the gods, surpassing human limits.”
Then, I look at a figure that shouldn't be on this map. It shouldn't be on this world. Yet it's currently in Lortiar.
Another dragon, this one blacker than Kyle's, but with dark markings as well, its blue eyes defiant.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Nathaniel?"

The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation
My name is Richard Brooks. I died while saving a kid. Kicking the bucket at 28 was really depressing, you know? There’s so much I still wanted to do. But instead of passing on, I was thrust into an endless series of reincarnations. Whenever I die, I earn Karma points based on my achievements and growth. These points can be exchanged for weapons, spells, or other bonuses to make my next lives more interesting. “What kills me only makes me stronger!” Or something like that. Honestly, it feels like I’m stuck in an RPG. The difficulty setting can be pretty ridiculous too. Sometimes all I can do is grit my teeth in frustration as I die an ignoble death. But I won’t complain. Even when it’s dangerous and painful, I love life. This is all an opportunity; I’ll do my best, no matter what kind of sadistic fate the System throws at me. I will swing the warhammer of justice! Craft and enhance the most amazing artifacts! Overwhelm opponents with a barrage of auto-casting spells! Lead powerful vassals in Domain wars! All for the sake of creating an eternal sanctuary. With my unique power of Runecrafting, maybe I’ll even become strong enough one day to overturn fate… or at least find out what the hell is really going on. It might take a few hundred or a thousand lifetimes, but what’s the rush? I have all the time in the world now. (Note: R15+ This is the work of a very inexperienced author with a full time job. Please expect an erratic release schedule.)
