"Impressive, I guess he might have a chance after all."
"Indeed. I'm looking forward to overseeing his next trial," the old man said, stroking his beard.
"That's if we're the ones overseeing his next trial."
"Haha, true."
The two gigantic people stood up from their chairs and disappeared, leaving Tai alone in the trial that he had just completed.
After a few hours, Tai woke up from his deep slumber, groggily rubbing his eyes as he woke up. "Ughh."
During the final minutes of the trial, Tai had been consumed by his desire of not wanting to fail and he paid the price. His body was so sore that even taking a step was a struggle for him. Looking down at his leg, Tai saw that it was still gone, meaning that his leg would only regrow in his empowered state at least until he found other ways of doing it.
Standing up, Tai received a notification.
You have beaten the trial. Collect your reward
OPEN REWARD
Pressing the button to collect his reward, Tai was bombarded by a series of notifications.
You have gained a skill: Pain Transferal
+1 status point
Due to your abnormally high Pain Resistance at such a level, the system has given you the power to transfer your pain to others. Note: You will still receive some pain
You have gained a skill: Darkness Manipulation
+1 status point
Due to your seemingly powerful affinity with darkness, the system has given you the power to manipulate it to your heart's content. Note: More complex use of darkness will require a higher level
Your skill Regenerative Healing Factor (II) has ranked up to Regenerative Healing Factor (III)
+1 status point
As a bonus of annihilating every monster in the trial, the system has upgraded your Regenerative Healing Factor to its 3rd rank. Note: Higher levels equal faster healing times

Due to your healing factor upgrading, your endurance has been changed to match it, bringing your total endurance to 150 without changing your level
You have gained a skill: Enhanced Endurance
Due to your Endurance stat reaching 100, you have gained Enhanced Endurance, making you tougher.
+1 status point
Tai smiled as he looked at his new set of skills. Pain Transferal might be the hardest one to find a use for, but they were all great abilities nonetheless, and the one that Tai was most excited for was his brand new Regenerative Healing Factor that had upgraded. Crossing his fingers, he checked the description of the new and upgraded skill hoping that it would help with his leg situation.
Regenerative Healing Factor (III)
External wounds, including fractured bones and deeper burns, heal at an accelerated rate. Cellular and genetic damage is decreased, greatly extending one's lifespan. Lost limbs regenerate after a set time, or can be re-attached. Allows one to survive severe blood loss. Internal organs may heal, but significant damage may be beyond repair or take longer to heal.
Endurance will always be a minimum of 150
When Tai read that lost limbs regenerate after a set time, he yelled out in happiness. "YEAAAAAH! I'll finally get my leg back!"
As long as Tai gave it enough time, his leg would regrow, and true enough, it was. When Tai rolled up his sweatpants to see his missing leg, it was already starting to heal. Bones seemingly formed out of nothing, and muscles, nerves, and veins started appearing. It wouldn't finish anytime soon, maybe tomorrow, but he was still happy that he would get his leg back.
"Now that that's done. My goal now is to find my mother and sister, but how the hell am I gonna find them?"

After a few minutes of Tai receiving his rewards, the system kicked him out of the trial, teleporting him back to the empty field that he was practicing in.
Reappearing in the empty field, Tai made his way back to the city. On the way there, he opened his status to distribute his status points as if he remembered correctly, he had gained quite a bit of points during his time in the trial.
Level: 138 Health: 1500/1500 Mana: 130/130 Ki: 1000/1000 Chakra: 793/793 Strength: 50(+) Dexterity: 41(+) Endurance: 150(+) Intelligence: 13(+) Status Points: 38
Tai's eyes went wide as he looked at his massive health pool. He was like a mini tank now, and would probably scare militaries.
Spending his points, Tai upgraded his dexterity to 50, leaving him with 29 points to spend on whatever. Tai felt bad about his Intelligence stat that he had neglected and never cared for, but intelligence wasn't the one that saved him. It was his body, and that was what he trusted. Tai spent the remaining 29 points on strength, bringing it up to 79.
You have gained a skill: Enhanced Senses
+1 status point
Due to your dexterity of 50, you have gained the skill, Enhanced Senses
"Hmm, neat." Tai didn't have to test the skill as when he was looking around, Tai could see that his sight was way better than before.
Arriving at the city, Tai was tired. His body was sore and his leg regrowing wasn't free. For his leg to regrow, it would use his energy and the nutrients from the things that he ate.
As he passed by the guild, one of the regulars at the guild called out to him. "Yo, Tai! Congratulations man. How was the trial?"
Since Tai was on the leaderboard, anyone could see his current level and naturally, being in the top 5, he was the center of attention since he had reached level 100 and taken over the 3rd spot on the leaderboard.
"Tiring," he replied as he made his way into the apartment and went to the teleport pad and entered his room.
He groaned as he collapsed on the bed, his sore muscles finally getting some rest from the long day.
