On the last episode of Generika 0ffline...

I'm Valeria Fullbright, manager of the 1st Class Trial Dungeon's tutorial arena. Last episode, an unremarkable NPC named "Quinn" challenged the dungeon in hopes of graduating to [Drifter], the default [Class] for new Heroes with no specialty! When I found out he'd never been tested before, I put him through the combat tutorial in my precious pocket world.

The poor thing was overwhelmed at first. When I raised his [Attributes] and lent him [Skills] for our lesson, he acted as though his own body were a foreign object. Quinn's super cute when he's puzzled. I don't think he'd agree, but he was even cuter when the practice monster we picked started chasing him. Those teary eyes... that desperate scrambling... it was like watching a helpless pet monster run around. So, so, so~o precious!

Oh, dear. Am I too frank about my feelings? I'm sorry, reader. I just can't help myself! Newbies are so moe when they're scared! Ah~ Being the combat tutorial instructor is a dream come true~

So!

Despite the tutorial's five-minute time limit, Quinn emerged victorious after blasting the dummy「King Slime」 away with his newfound [Skills]. Not a bad performance! Yes, I had to hint at the monster's weakness... but as someone with zero combat experience and mediocre [Attributes], Quinn proved his potential by casting [Observation I] and [Concentrated Strike] until he'd whittled its HP down past 0. Not everyone who plays the tutorial gets an [Overkill] on their first victory!

Sadly, I must return him to the main dungeon. In Episode 2, my colleague Antoine Belcourt will assess him during the trial proper. Antoine's not fun like I am. Poor Quinn will probably miss this helpful big sister, don't you think? It's a shame I won't get to see him scrabbling around in fea... I mean, making his first real kill. I'm genuinely proud of him, though, and I've no doubt that he'll be a passable [Marksman] someday.
