《Bathilda the Bat》Choices For The Future

I was waiting for the right opportunity.
'You called me a pussy!' she exclaims.
Got you moving though, didn't it? Anyway don't you think you should choose your evolution now and stop wasting precious daylight?
'There is no daylight down here and that's beside the point. I didn't like it so you need to apologise,' she says taking a seat on the dirt floor of her small safe room.
Seriously?
'Seriously!'
A few seconds pass before Bathilda hears the words she is waiting for. Free from any sarcasm, she gets the most sincere apology she has ever heard spoken. Not only for the name calling from earlier but also for the hijacking too. The animosity she was holding towards her new unwanted traveling companion fades a little and Bathilda brings her attention to her evolution options.
Large Wingtail Bat: The mature version of the baby tail. Strength and speed will be increased as will size.
Large Poisonous Bat: A larger more potent form of the Poisonous Bat. Your poison will now take effect immediately.
Blood Sucking Bat: Drinking blood refills health and satisfies any hunger completely. Speed and size will be increased a fraction.
Creeper Bat: Any movement created by these small creatures makes almost no sound and is much harder to detect. Speed is increased exponentially but your size will remain the same.
'Wow. There are twice as many options this time and two new one's. Although one is a repeat and another is the upgrade to my current form. I'm quite intrigued by new two though. What do you think, Hiro?' by having someone to talk to Bathilda can finally hear an outside opinion on her current situation, even if that outside opinion does happen to come from within.
I do not know the physiology of bat's.

'Me either. The Creeper is off the list as I need to get grow. I'm tired of been the smallest thing here. Also the Wingtail is out too. In not going to devolve into a lesser species with no unique triats. Therefore that only leaves my poisonous upgrade ,which has served me well so far, and the blood sucking option. I'm actually starting to feel hungry, now that I've read about hunger. Not to mention the fact that I've probably been here for several hours now and the energy I spent on this cave has to be replenished somehow. Can I eat the creatures I poison?'
Again, I'm sorry to say I don't know the answer to that question either. I can't see it going well though.
'I only know of one species that suck blood to...' Bathilda's voice trails as she begins to think hard about the possibility of some type of humanity returning to her. Even if it were to come in the way she is musing over, it would be better than her current way of living.
After arriving at a somewhat conclusive decision, Bathilda chooses confirm on the Blood Sucking Bat option. Upon doing so she receives another notification from her helpful system.
Confirming this evolution will render you immobile for one hour. Are you sure you wish to proceed?
Choosing yes, Bathilda rests back against the wall of her cave as her eyes close and her body undergoes the process of change. There is no pain this time, and no embarrassing incident either as a state of calm envelopes her. Time passes uneventfully and when she awake, Bathilda can feel a new strength flowing through her upgraded body.
Black is now the defining colour of her features and her fangs have grown to twice the size they where before. Her size has increased, yet only a fraction as it had stated, and with it she feels a rush of power. Knowledge flows into her brain and she calls up her skill list to look at her newest additions.

Blood Sucking: Level 1
Restore 5% of health for every level of this skill on any individual target
Paralysing Stare: Level 1
Cost: 10MP
Incapacite a single enemy for upto 30 seconds. Each level of this skill increases the chance of successful paralysing the target.
'Oh my word, I am absolutely starving right now! I'm a bit reluctant to try blood sucking out but I chose it for a reason so that's what happening,' Bathilda declares with some reluctance.
If you chose it for a reason, then why do you not sound more enthused by the idea?
'Have you ever drank rodent blood?' she asks, unknowing of what could be his cultures specific differences.
I can't say that I have. In that case why did you choose blood sucking over poison? Was it because you thought that anything you may bite might accidentally poison you?
Curious to know the reason behind her choice, Hiro, the hitchhiking soul leech, asks abouts the logic that guided her decision. However the answer that Bathilda gives him only leaves him with more questions as he has no idea what manner of species she is referring too when she tells him it's what she hopes to become.
After explaining herself to Hiro, Bathilda check the area below her home to find it empty. Except for the skeletal remains of the Millisnake that is.
'One of other hand, sucking blood sounds alot better than eating raw unprocessed meat. Especially when said meat wold be coming from Brats. I've only seen five different monsters and two of them I didn't really get a good look at. One was huge and the other was called a Gricket I think. As a guess in going to assume it's like a cricket, but probably monsterfied, until I actually spot it again,' no longer talking to herself, but instead to her new piggybacking companion, Bathilda squeezes through the tight entrance of her home. She looks up the long tunnel towards thinking back to the Brat pack that had tried to stone her not too long ago.
The five remaining Brat's are the first targets that she has decided to test her new strength on. Eager to try out her new body out, she wastes no time reaching the top of the cave before assessing her surroundings. On one side of the chasmed room, the dead body of the Alto which had gave chase earlier is laid before the opening of the large drop. The rodent side is empty, yet even without an Echolocation, Bathilda can sense the foul creatures somewhere round their nest in the room beyond. With less hesitation than ever before, she sets off for what she hopes will be her final showdown with the carnivorous Brat's.

Mark of the Lash
Born from a precarious relationship between a Drow and his prize, Serena Lash struggles to find her place, and herself, as she fights to persevere through the hardships life throws her way. A story born from a D&D game I am currently a part of. The narrative will follow the events of the campaign as closely as possible, with some events having been tweaked to better fit into a written story. A slow burn, the narrative does skip around a bit due to the nature of the campaign, considering that not everything in the game needs to be written about. This will begin to peter out the further the story progresses, but for the first parts, expect a bit of skipping!
