《The Tragic Tale of a Zombie Survivalist》Fixing Problems

Agh! I was dumb!
Okay, so the process to actually kick someone out of the Clan involves a majority vote of its members. However, if I designate moderators, they have the ability to issue warnings and essentially kick people out of the Clan without all the hassle. How stupid of me. Thanks, Navi!
I quickly returned to the kid, who probably hates me eternally by now, and rescinded the request. I think he was sort of relieved, since he wouldn’t have to kill fellow Humans. I instead told him that I could send these trouble makers to him or send them further south.
He didn’t mind taking them in, for some reason. I wouldn’t have, because I hate dealing with trouble on a regular basis. If I can fix it, I try and do so as early as possible. Especially if the problem happens often. But I guess he needs the helping hands.
I must say, though. That kid has some strength to him. He could easily go one on one with any of the Mid BOSSes. However, if he were to fight Reese, for example, he would no doubt die.
Just saying.
Well, by the time the sun rose, several survivors were already gathered around the BOSSes here and there. While the Capital had over 100 people, the little Towns had about 50 or so. But, why weren’t there a lot of survivors?
Because they turned.
Then why weren’t there a lot of zombies?
Because the remaining survivors all had freaking super powers.
Unfortunately, there were still signs of the infection here and there. Thankfully, the Humans were getting into the groove of being adventurers and killing zombies or scavenging for items. All usable materials were usually handed in, since most people had no idea what to do with them.
Money was exchanged for GP, so that stayed with the person who found it. But, we needed to acquire a means of income as well! Somehow, we could give GP as rewards, and in return, we got Resources. We could then sell these Resources for more GP if we wanted, and that’s what most people wanted to do.
Thankfully, I had set up a trade shop of sorts. The Exchange Express. A market system. Here, one could trade goods for GP or items they scavenged for stuff like food and water. Every resource, whether it be wood, stone, or metal, was given to the Clan. Everything else was kept by the founder.
Isn’t that dumb? Shouldn’t I just keep everything and then use it to increase the army I have?
No.
My army is already over powered, compared to Humans. 100 Humans versus 100 Skeletons at Level 0 would work in their favor, but as soon as the Skeletons Level Up even once, you need to increase the amount of Humans. Or just give them all Skills.

After kicking out the bad seeds, we went down by a good 30 people. But, this worked out well. They didn’t hold grudges, since they could keep the things they earned themselves. I wasn’t a thief. However, if they were, then I wouldn’t hold back.
We had created a Prison near the Capital. Prisoners were forced to excavate Resources and not keep any for themselves. They only got basic bread and water and couldn’t have any free time. Any stolen goods were confiscated and any murderers were not tolerated.
That’s right, we had our first murder.
It was a sad sight, but we could easily find out who it was since they appeared on the Clan log as killing their own comrade. A red aura surrounded them, kind of like a PKer would in a video game. He was immediately kicked from the Clan.
It didn’t matter if he had killed a guy that was about to rape a little child, we had an image to maintain. Soooo…I may have exiled him instead of having him executed. I gave him some Resources and food before sending him to Jeremy’s group.
The guy had gotten the Vigilante Title as well. Ha! It feels good to have likeminded people. He wasn’t upset and solemnly left.
Because of this, we had a special Task Force created to specifically patrol the Towns. They were more like a militia, but they would investigate criminal actions. I sometimes helped as well, but luckily, the crime rate was quickly lowered.
There was still some bullying going on, but as long as it didn’t get physical or life threatening, we didn’t interfere. Why? Because the people had to get stronger. This wasn’t like how the world worked before.
Well, we payed people in GP. Now, GP would have normally been quickly depleted. However, since we could go into the Living Saint’s Area, we found new hunting grounds. We decided to sparingly hunt the Beasts so there was a chance they would repopulate.
But…all we had to eat were fruits and vegetables. We had places to grow clean food, filter water, but not any fresh clean meat. We needed to find a source of meat! The best bet would be chickens and grow nuts. We would also need to find a cow or goat to get dairy products.
So I did the next best thing.
I Summoned them! And thanks to Lucy’s luck, I got all I wanted! Unfortunately, she was drained for a couple of hours. But I got Cockatrices, Taurons, and even Ents! Well, that last one was a surprise.
The Cockatrices were some sort of cross between a snake and a chicken. However, I believe this evolve into a Chimera or even a Basilisk! How crazy would that be?! Taurons were a race of Monster cattle. I bet they could evolve into the Minotaurs you always hear about. Now, the Ents were tree people…or more like just trees that could move around.

The Ents would help manage the forested areas and keep animals from ruining our crops. For some reason, they also purified the land so the infection wouldn’t ruin them.
It’s kind of strange how the world can’t seem to decide whether it’s a post-apocalyptic world or a fantasy world. Such a strange combo of the both of them. Anyways, we used the Cockatrice eggs, which were massive, about the size of an ostrich’s egg, for breakfast! Ooh. We need bacon!
But…I don’t want to somehow get Orcs or something…I don’t know how I feel eating humanoid things…
So we decided to keep our eyes out for boars and the like.
What Level were the creatures? Well, I Summoned the Ent first, which must have taken Lucy half her Luck Bar. I could then buy Ents for 1,000 GP each. It was a lot, so I only bought one. How much GP do I have? Not a lot. Probably about 600 after today. I need to get hunting. The Cockatrice and Tauron took the rest of Lucy’s Luck so they weren’t all that rare.
The Ents were Level 4 and the Cockatrice and Tauron counted as Level 3s.
Hmm…how to get GP…I could always sell Resources, but I need those to build the houses for the survivors. The only reason I had torn down the other houses was to equalize everyone. Not all houses were built the same way and I wanted to have some sense of ease when traveling through the City. Well, It was called a City, but it was just a Town at best. The Towns were actually closer to Villages, but…
People wanted a semblance of normality.
We decided to expand towards Louisiana. This way, it would be easier for us to get that Level 4 person here. Well…they had now become Level 5. Either it was by killing others or using their power to lead. Hopefully, it was the latter. The other two had also become Level 5 by now. They must be taking advantage of the GP supplied by the Clan. I noticed that the person in California was actually moving towards us.
Hopefully, they weren’t traveling on foot because that sucks.
Lucy had come back carrying a big bird that looked more like an eagle than the pelican it actually was. The infection had gotten to it really badly. It didn’t have a Skill, so Lucy didn’t receive any reward except for completing a Quest we had set up.
I raised the pelican, using my Level 4 Spell I was so proud of, and created a Level 3 Giant Bird. It wasn’t all that special, until it started to morph. Just like the catfish, this creature started to grow sharp teeth and its beak became more deadly. Its jaws looked more like a black hole when it opened its mouth to screech.
I sent him on his way to go earn me some more GP. Now, I could have another form of income. These guys are definitely strong. Even Red Amigo would have some difficulty fighting the pelican. Lucy called the bird Buster, so that’s his name now.
The messengers were a good thing. Now, I’m not talking about letters and that stuff since we can use the Clan Chat and the monitor for those things. No, these guys were for carting around Resources and equipment. I had all of us within 30 minutes of each other, but this meant the other places were closer to the edge of the Region.
Thankfully, Jeremy’s group never decided to infringe on the territory we took from the Living Saints. I guess they still had their own troubles to deal with. Maybe that guy I sent their way could be of some help. Well, if Jeremy doesn’t kill them. He killed the first couple of guys I sent.
I went to ask what the deal was, and I thought he didn’t understand when I said not to worry about what I said, but the situation was different from what I thought.
Some thugs had been kicked out for beating someone. When they decided to join Jeremy’s group, they wanted better positions than just newbie stuff. They apparently challenged his authority, so he got rid of them.
Damn, kid!
Oh well. Not that I cared. They didn’t have Skills nor did they have amazing gear. I bet that was taken from them to empower Jeremy’s people. Either way, I hope to actually see some awesome stuff come from there.
In the meantime, why don’t I send someone to travel to other Regions so they can scout out the enemies? Hmmm…I may have adopted an oppressive nature recently…
Who cares?! Let’s call it Manifest Destiny! For the Undead Clan!
