《Re: Dungeon Conqueror》Chapter 7: Starvation Hall

"Over your left!" Edard alerted Dylas again but the shadowy skeleton disappeared instantly.
"There... no, wait." He pointed at another skeleton but he suddenly realized the skeletons looked different when using Spiritual Sense. They looked ethereal, more like a projection.
Could it be an illusion?
Edard closed his eyes and used Spirutual Sense. The skeleton attacking Dylas turned blurry and passed right through him without causing any damage. It was an illusion and the Spiritual Sense could identify it.
"What?" Dylas finally asked.
"The skeletons are illusions, even the one I blasted with lava." Edard said.
"Illusions? And you can identify them with... your skill?" Dylas half asked half stated. Edard was becoming increasingly mysterious every time he spoke.
"I'm really hungry." Edard growled. On Earth he was protected by his abilities and could stay a whole day without eating. He couldn't remember when last he was hungry.
You are hungry.
-0.1/sec stamina until you eat.
It wasn't an ordinary hunger. Edard stood his ground for the next few minutes but he eventually fell. Dylas put Edard on his back and trotted onward.
Tyrant
Tyrant visibly shook from excitement. It was time to make his move. He coined a message and sent it to Dylas.
Leave your team members behind and get an additional bonus of 100 hours.
You can always get other team members to join you and you can even proceed alone.
Wishing you the very best of luck. Tyrant.
Obviously, Dylas knew what the dungeon core meant. If he left Edard behind, the dungeon would devour him and take his longevity and life energy. That was one way a dungeon could grow. But the core offered him only a hundred hours, this was a greedy proposal even for a new dungeon.
Dylas harrumphed at the request. He would benefit for sure but there was no way he would leave his comrade behind. He ignored the information and trotted on.
What!? Is he ignoring me? I probably didn't coin that message appropriately. Tyrant cursed inwardly. Well, time for plan B.
He sent another message.
You have entered the second part of the Starvation Hall. One corridor for one person. Throw your unconscious comrade into the corridor to get him started.
+50 hours if you leave them behind.
After the message the hallway divided into two smaller corridors, left and right. Dylas tried to look inside but he saw nothing but darkness.
This time he had no option, he had to leave Edard behind. After a short debate, Dylas pierced his index finger and drew a simple rune on Edard's stomach before he threw him into the corridor.
"I have done my part... the rest is up to you." Dylas said as he followed the other corridor.
"Little horse, your runes won't save you, or him." Tyrant shouted angrily. He just couldn't understand why Dylas would choose Edard over one-hundred and fifty hours.
Edard
Edard woke up a few minutes later. The first thing he noticed was he was alone and no longer hungry. His shirt was removed and a small flower was drawn on his upper abdomen.
Dylas? Edard didn't know why Dylas had left or what the flower on his abdomen meant but he guessed it was the reason he wasn't hungry. Likely Dylas's doing.
He checked out his stats. His life energy was optimum and his stamina was back to sixty-percent.
A few screens informed him of his environment.
You have entered the second part of the Starvation Hall.
Follow the arrows.
A series of light arrows appeared on the ground pointing forward. The corridor shortly opened into a small room with fifteen coffins carefully arranged in the corner. The room had no door or window and the corridor, which was the only way out, had closed behind him. A dim light came from the walls and the floor, making it more like a morgue.

He used Spiritual Sense to look inside the coffins and he found... nothing. All the coffins were empty.
Edard stood there for several minutes before one of the coffins suddenly creaked. The cover was sent flying as a bodiless figure made of smoke climbed out of the coffin. Edard tried to calm down his breathing but he couldn't.
Hunger Ghoul, level 8.
The figure took the form of an eyeless lion with a large spot at the centre of its forehead, completely different from his definition of a ghoul. After a short hesitation he merged with his clone and readied all his skills. He had defeated a demon at the peak of the Secondary Awakening which gave him a little confidence. His first instinct was to use Intimidation but it failed because the ghoul had no eyes. He tried using Interracial Communication but no response. It was as if the ghoul had no sense of communication at all.
Edard resorted to his next skill. He increased gravity by 1.5x but to his surprise the ghoul didn't even budge. Now that he thought about it gravity acted on weight; it might not work on a weightless being like a ghoul.
Crush, Interracial Communication and Intimidation have failed.
Edard fired a fist of lava but it passed directly through the bodiless ghoul with absolutely no effect.
Even lava? Edard sighed desperately.
Among his skills only Dimensional Annihilation remained. Obviously, Tyrant had carefully arranged the stage to cancel his skills.
As he analyzed the situation the ghoul attacked. It was so fast he barely dodged it even at 100m/sec.
You have been injured by a hunger being.
You are hungry.
-0.3/sec stamina until you eat.
Despite dodging the attack he was somehow injured. What disturbed him was the hunger part. He wasn't hungry but he was still loosing stamina because of it. The rune on his stomach was effective against hunger sensation but it didn't cure the actual hunger.
The ghoul turned around and attacked again. Instead of dodging Edard prepared a Dragon-essense dagger. The ghoul clawed at his stomach while he stabbed it in the chest.
Dragon-essence has stored a Hunger Ghoul energy in the dragon dimension.
You have been injured by a hunger being.
You are hungry
-0.5/sec stamina until you eat.
The ghoul gave a soundless roar and clutched its chest while Edard simply rolled to the side. He knew he was hungry but since he didn't feel it he might as well forget about it.
The ghoul attacked desperately, utilizing its speed and weightlessness to change course midair. Edard created another dagger but he kept on missing it.
You have been injured by a hunger being.
You are hungry
-0.3/sec stamina until you eat.
It reduced his stamina regeneration by 1.2/sec before he was able to land another hit. The ghoul became even more desperate, attacking anyhow. Edard managed to land another hit and the ghoul disappeared. It dropped an opaque stone the size of a newborn fist.
He appraised it.
Low grade longevity crystal
Time: 04:00:00
Edard snatched the crystal and wrapped his hands around it in a protective manner.
Now how do I absorb it...?
He stopped as the crystal suddenly dissolved in his hands, giving a frigid sensation.
Congratulations, you have gained 04:00:00 from a longevity crystals x1
Before he finished processing the information, two of the coffins opened and two ghouls came out. They were at the same level as the first but they had two spots on their faces unlike the single spot displayed by the first. He had roughly 100 life energy left and an even lower vitality. As much as he would like to pay his debt and get rid of the corpse, levelling up came first. Four hours was enough to level up each Class. He already had enough nature energy in store to activate the longevity.

He activated it and levelled up his Classes.
Dragonbreath has reached level 2/10 (2 hours)
+1 intelligence

+1 free point
Skills upgrade: +5% suction power, Dragon-essence weapon can deal two strikes before dissipating.
Cost: up to 15 life energy

+1 willpower
+1 free point
•Skill upgrade: duration of stun has raised from 2 to 4 seconds.
Cost: up to 15
Violet Rose has reached level 2/10 (2 hours)
+1 strength
+1 willpower
Gravity effect has raised to 2x the normal Màsar gravity.
The Dragon-essence dagger dissipated after every use but now he could use it twice without dissipating, which had practically reduced the cost by half. The suction power had also increased by 5%.
Clone speed had raised to 110m/sec, duration of Intimidation had also doubled and the gravity effect of Violet Rose had leveled up to 2.0x. Definitely worth it but what he urgently needed was vitality, intelligence and willpower. Vitality would raise stamina thereby balancing the hunger effect. Intelligence would raise life energy thereby increasing his battle prowess. And willpower would increase the regeneration of both life energy and stamina which made it the single most important attribute. Looking at the Classes only psychomancy and Dragonbreath could give all the three attributes. Psychomancy was pretty useless on the ghouls so he chose to focus on Dragonbreath. He also pushed all his free points, including the previous ones, to vitality.
For the first time he was happy to check his Timer. The thought of having four hours was incomparable.
00:00:01
O...one second...? He blinked several times as he looked at the Timer again. He just refilled four hours, why was it still reading one second? He had used up four hours to level up but no one told him the longevity used to level up would disappear.
One of the ghouls bumped into him, pulling him out of his reverie. The other ghoul attacked from behind.
You have been injured by hunger beings.
You are hungry
-0.7/sec stamina until you eat.
Despite not feeling hungry he continued to lose stamina. He would have died if not for all the free points he had put into his vitality.
You have been injured by hunger beings.
You are hungry
-0.1/sec stamina until you eat.
Every time he attacked he would receive a damage as well. Before he realized he was running at -2/sec stamina.
What saved him was the increased suction power of the Dragon-essence and the fact it could now dealt two strikes before dissipating. It took four hits to kill each ghoul, adding up the Dragon-essence cost to 120. This coupled with his slightly raised speed helped him to survive the two ghouls. He was completely exhausted and even before he absorbed the two crystals four coffins had opened.
Edard hurriedly absorbed the crystals and leveled up Dragonbreath.
You have gained 15 hours from longevity crystals x 2
Dragonbreath has reached level 3/10 (3 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 4/10 (4 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 5/10 (5 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 6/10 (6 hours)
+4 intelligence
+4 willpower
+4 free point
Skills upgrade: +20% suction power, Dragon-essence weapon can deal six strikes before dissipating.
Cost: up to 35 life energy
Lava Ejection Speed raised to 30m/sec
He channeled the four free points to vitality. Including regeneration he had 120 life energy left. The first clone had expired so he used 40 life energy to create another clone and merged with it. Having leveled up he was able to create a Dragon-essense sword, although the cost had also increased to 35. The battle began as four ghouls climbed out of the coffins. Each ghoul was at the same level as the previous ones albeit more spots on their faces.
The Dragon-essence was far more oppressive than it used to be. It had become dark blue with interspersed black dots. It took a single strike to cleave the closest ghoul into two. He swung again and another ghoul fell. The two remaining ghouls clawed at his body desperately. One ghoul was glued to his chest while the other clutched at his back.
You have been injured by hunger beings.
You are hungry
-0.5/sec stamina until you eat.
"I think you have taken enough stamina already."
He was curious as to what would happen if he pierced himself with Dragon-essense. He had already tested it on his hands but piercing his chest might be different. His gut told him nothing would happen and his curiosity urged him forward. After a short debate, he pierced the ghoul on his chest first and then through his body to kill the one on his back. He was immune to the effects of the Dragon-essence.
Four crystals dropped to the ground. He ran at -2.5/sec stamina which was even higher than his total regeneration. He desperately needed more willpower and vitality.
He absorbed the crystals and leveled up.
You have gained 33 hours from hunger ghoul crystals x 4
Dragonbreath has reached level 7/10 (7 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 8/10 (8 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 9/10 (9 hours)
Dragonbreath has reached level 10/10 (100 hours + Ten different elements in the dragon dimension)
+4 intelligence
+4 willpower
+4 free point
Skills upgrade: +20% suction power, Dragon-essence weapon can deal ten strikes before dissipating.
Cost: up to 55
Lava Ejection Speed has raised to 50m/sec
He put the four free points to vitality and waited for the remaining ghouls. It would take one hundred hours to Awaken Dragonbreath contrary to the ten hours he had expected. He also needed ten different elements in the dragon dimension... Luckily, he had been storing different elements with the intention of choosing another element when it was time to select.
He checked his Timer.
02:59:48
He had finally gotten enough longevity to close his eyes and take a nap. That's if you excluded the debt he owed the corpse.
This time all the remaining eight coffins opened together and eight fresh ghouls came at him. It was easier because of the improved Dragon-essence. As long he could make contact the ghoul would drop dead. He finished them in a few minutes and absorbed the crystals.
You have gained 64 hours from hunger ghoul crystals x 8
Dragonbreath had reached level 10 and he didn't have enough longevity to take it further so he focused on the other Classes. Tyrant would likely bring more eyeless and bodiless monsters to negate his psychomancy and Violet Rose so he focused more on Cloning. He needed to be faster.
Cloning has reached level 3/10 (3 hours
Cloning has reached level 4/10 (4 hours
Cloning has reached level 5/10 (5 hours
Cloning has reached level 6/10 (6 hours
Cloning has reached level 7/10 (7 hours
Cloning has reached level 8/10 (8 hours
Cloning has reached level 9/10 (9 hours
Cloning has reached level 10/10 (100 hours + no bottleneck)
+8 vitality
+8 agility
+8 intelligence
Clone speed has increased to 200m/sec.
It would also take one hundred hours to take it further but luckily no bottleneck.
He looked at his Timer.
22:52:11
He decided to always leave a reserve of at least five hours, if you added the five-hour debt he owed the corpse he would need a reserve of ten hours. So he leveled up with the remaining hours.
Violet Rose has reached level 3/10 (3 hours)
Violet Rose has reached level 4/10 (4 hours)
+2 strength
+2 willpower
Gravity effect has raised to 3x
Psychomancy has reached level 3/10 (3 hours)

+2 intelligence
+2 willpower
+2 free points
•Skill upgrade: duration of Intimidation has raised to 8 seconds.
Cost: up to 25

He still had twelve hours which was enough to take a nap. Edard was starting to feel a little bit secured. He put the two points to vitality and waited for another set of ghouls but nothing came. After a while a door opened in the wall leading to another gloomy corridor. As he stepped into the corridor the morgue disappeared behind him. The corridor was so dark he couldn't even see his body. Unfortunately, his Spiritual Sense was related to his vision so he couldn't see what his eyes couldn't see. He created Dragon-essense to light up the place but it made little difference. The only light came from the blue screen in front of his eyes.
You have entered the third part of the Starvation Hall.
Amid his confusion he felt bony claws bit deep into his stomach. The bony claws held a part of his guts and tried to pull it out forcefully.
"Aaargh... " Edard screamed in agony, holding the claws with one hand and covering his torn abdomen with the other to prevent his guts from coming out. It was a much more painful experience than breaking his arm. He wanted to slash in the direction but the pain made him dizzy and unable to concentrate.
You have been exposed to at least five different pains. You have gained the skill Pain Resistance. Pain sensation would be suppressed by ten percent for every level.
Activate Pain Resistance? Y/N?
You have one slot remaining. Choose wisely.
This was no time to deliberate, he could not operate under the excruciating pain in his torso.
You have activated the skill Pain Resistance.
Pain Resistance has reached level 1: pain sensation has been suppressed by 10%.
Level up by playing with pain at your leisure time.
The pain subsided, a little, and he slashed in the direction, cutting the bony claws. He activated Crush, setting the violet glow on the bony figure which was now missing a hand. Edard shone the violet glow on his stomach and saw the clawed hand stuck in his stomach. Wherever he looked he would see a ton of the same skeletons and these weren't an illusion.
You have been injured by a Hunger Skeleton.
Hunger sensation is raised by 60%
-0.5/sec stamina until you eat
*
Skin Tempering activated: you have sustained a deep laceration x 1
+4 resistance
The crunching of bones rang as Edard mercilessly Crushed the skeleton and fired volcanic rocks to clear his pass. He instinctively ran forward not knowing where to. Wherever he looked he would see more Hunger Skeletons. Mostly level 5 and below but the lack of lighting and the number of the skeletons made it impossible to fight back. He couldn't even stop to pick up the crystals as he desperately looked for an exit.
When he reached the end of the corridor he realized it was a dead end. He turned around and saw an endless sea of grey skeletons, making soundless roars. The skeletons held primitive weapons in their bony hands as they ran closer. The closer they got the more excruciating the hunger sensation in his stomach became, not even Dylas's rune could save him. He was in a really bad spot.
As he stood there hundreds of skeletons jumped on him. For the first time Edard threw the corpse aside. He fired volcanic rocks, created Dragon-essense sword, merged with his clone and focused the Violet Crush. He stood there, his back pressed against the wall, slashing and Crushing any skeleton that got too close. But still some skeletons escaped and stabbed him with their corrupted swords and claws. His blood splashed on the ground but he remained standing. There was simply too many skeletons.
Is this the end?
You have gained the Acquired skill Night Vision
Ability to see in the darkest of places, even at the bottom of the Black Sea.
You can't activate skill because you have no slot remaining.
Night Vision coupled with Spiritual Sense could help a lot but he had no remaining slot. He fought for a quarter of an hour before the silence came.
You have received skin lacerations 67x.
You have received fatal injuries 4x.
Stamina is down...
+94 resistance
You have reached 100 resistance.
Skin Tempering has reached second stage.
You have developed the White Draconic Scales....
He couldn't see the rest of the information flowing as his skin suddenly started dissolving into a pool of blood and gore. The pain was unbearable despite having a Pain Resistance. Edard gritted his teeth and held on. He would certainly die if he lost consciousness. Because of the pain he couldn't even think straight, he couldn't use any skill even when the Hunger Skeletons slashed him like a barbecue. After an undetermined period his entire skin disappeared, leaving a roasted meat behind like a skinned lizard. Small, white scales appeared on his body and replaced his former skin.
He didn't know how but the claws of the next skeleton that touched him were shredded to pieces.
Second stage of Skin Tempering fully activated. Congratulations, you have activated the White Draconic Scales.
White Draconic Scales? Edard mused. He would have time to check it out but for now he had a payback to make. When he looked at the skeletons he saw longevity crystals. He readied himself and launched an all out vengeance on them.
However, the corridor suddenly glowed and the scene became clear. All the hundreds of skeletons in front of him disappeared without a trace. Apparently, tyrant was such a loser, he refused to give Edard all the crystals.
Edard sighed and turned his attention to the crystals on the ground. He had never seen so many crystals in one place. Smiling happily Edard devoured all the crystals.
You have gained 177 hours from longevity crystals x48
To his surprise, he found that he couldn't absorb eighteen crystals. Their color was light blue unlike the grey opague ones he was used to. He appraised them.
Low grade spirit stones.
Edard observed the spirit stones for another minute before he put them in his pocket and turned to the wall behind him. The wall had become transparent such that he could see through it. There was an open space surrounded by a river. Standing on the river bank was Dylas and another centaur. They were discussing in low tone but Edard could hear them.
"F...father!" Dylas said with wide eyes.
They looked alike except that Dylas looked younger.
"Where have you been, son? Your mother has grown old waiting. What happened to you? You didn't come home even when your mother gave birth. Come, let's go home. They are all waiting." The other centaur rattled while Dylas wept.
After a moment of hesitation Dylas extended his arms to give his father a lovely, centaur-kind hug. But what came out of the father's hand was a long sword of yellow light. He pierced Dylas's chest but there was no wound or blood, only the cry of agony from from Dylas as he opened his eyes and realized everything was an illusion. He jumped back looking at the figure in front of him. It was no longer his father but a giant skeleton with bluish-white horns covered in tattered robes. Even as large as Dylas was it was still larger.
"Hunger Slash!" The skeleton figure cried in a raspy voice.
Dylas jumped back as he clutched his stomach to relieve the sudden severe hunger sensation in him. But that only exercerbated it. He became dizzy and fell on the floor screaming.
The skeleton continued, "even if you've Hunger Resistance you can't resist my hunger illusions. Without food death is certain within the hour."
The skeleton sneered at Dylas as if he was no longer a threat before he turned around to look at Edard. It knew exactly where Edard was.
As a response to the skeleton's stare, a door appeared in the transparent wall and Edard was pulled outside into the open space. Seeing this Edard quickly thought of a way to tackle the illusions. He also leveled up Violet Rose and Psychomancy.
Violet Rose has reached level 5/10 (5 hours)
Violet Rose has reached level 6/10 (6 hours)
Violet Rose has reached level 7/10 (7 hours)

He put the six points to vitality.
Hunger Skeleton, floor boss, level 10 (secondary)
Dammit, he is at the peak of the Secondary Awakening. Edard cursed inwardly.
The skeleton turned to where Edard stood and read his memory to get a suitable illusion material. But Edard had prepared for that. He used a robe to cover his eyes.
"Your illusions can only work if I can see you." Edard said with a stern voice, although his stomach growled for food. Just looking at the skeleton made him felt hungry. He had earlier realized that illusions didn't work on Spiritual Sense so he used it to point the boss's exact position. Then he created two Dragon-essence swords, one in each hand and merged with the clone.
"Are you looking down on me?" The boss shouted angrily. "I'm the dungeon boss of this floor, I will carve out your eyes before I kill you!"
He attacked Edard with the yellow sword in his bony hand. But Edard focused his attention. As soon as the undead slashed, he used the sword in his left hand to block it.
As the two made contact, Edard's sword absorbed the undead's into the dragon dimension.
Dragon-essence has stored a hunger energy in the dragon-dimension.
Then Edard travelled at 200m/sec to appear next to the boss and used the other sword in his right hand to slash.
Just an inch away but the boss turned into a ghoul. The Dragon-essence hit it but the damage was considerably reduced by his new form. Before Edard could react the boss had transformed into a skeleton and dealt a powerful blow at his chest. Edard was sent back flying.
The ghoul was both faster and carried the least damage but it had the weakest attack. Whereas the skeleton took more damage from physical attacks but it's attack dealt both more physical damage and stamina drain.
You have a broken rib.
-1.5/ sec stamina until you heal.
You have been injected with hunger energy.
+250% increase in hunger sensation.
If it was a few hours ago on Earth Edard would have needed a very long hospitalisation but right now he just brushed it off. His scaly skin was impenetrable but, even though his insides had become tougher, the pressure from the punch still crushed his rib. He slashed again but this time the boss dodged easily. Apparently, the boss was faster than his 200m/sec.
Even worse, the boss maintained its distance by firing spears of yellow light in an attempt to prevent Edard from getting closer.
Edard utilized his speed to dodge as he advanced. Whenever he got close enough the boss would transform into a ghoul to minimise the damage. It continued like this for several minutes before Edard received a warning.
Warning, you have reached the time limit of this floor!
You have one minute to kill the boss.
Having lost 90% of his stamina the survival instinct set in. He looked at the boss with hungry eyes, if only he could get close enough. The problem was the boss was faster than his maximum speed, especially in its ghoul form. Not only that, it seemed to have some level of intelligence as it intentionally dragged the fight by running around. Edard ran after it but he was simply not fast enough.
Dammit, just how fast is this thing?
Probably, Awakening Cloning would give him enough speed to tackle the boss but that would leave him with only three hours. Which meant he had to forget his plan of leaving the corpse behind in Lancel.
Are you sure you want to Awaken Cloning for 100 hours? Y/N?
He hit yes.
Choose an Awakening skill
1] Clone Healer: create a healing clone. Merging would raise natural healing by 100% and give a 2.5x increment in stamina regeneration.
Cost of a clone: 50
Half life: 1 minute
2] Clone Messenger: create an intelligent clone. You can send clone up to 5km away from you to perform tasks. All information learned by the clone will be transmitted to you when the clone dies.
Cost of a clone: 150

Alternatively, you can upgrade Cloning to Clone Acceleration Class. Focus on upgrade to see description.
Edard followed the instructions and focused on Clone Acceleration Class.
Clone Acceleration Class: create and merge with a clone to travel so fast that you leave an afterimage behind. +1 afterimage after every level.
Cost of a clone: 70
Cost: 10/sec
Clone half life: 1 minute
If he didn't have the Tempering skills he would definitely go for the Healer and if he wasn't in a desperate need of speed he would definitely consider the Messenger. But right now, all he could think about was killing the boss and moving to the next floor...
Cloning has upgraded to Clone Acceleration Class
Clone Acceleration has reached level 1/10 (200 hours)
+2 vitality per level
+2 agility per level
+2 willpower per level
+1 extra slot for Acquired skills.
When Edard finished Awakening there was ten seconds left and the boss was more than two-hundred meters away. Before the Awakening he could cover the distance in one second but now... he moved so fast that the boss was still focused on his afterimage when he impaled it with a Dragon-essense sword from behind.
Dragon-essence has stored undead energy in the dragon dimension.
The boss released a desperate screech and tried to transform but Edard slashed ten times in a row before it could. The boss dropped two crystals as it was mercilessly sucked into the dimension.
He had finally conquered the floor. The white scales had disappeared and his skin was intact. But he still had a broken rib and internal bleeding at different places.
He laid on the ground, looking at his Timer and his remaining three hours. From his arrival at Màsar to this time he had more than five deadly battles already. Something he could never have imagined.
His stamina was at the lowest minimum and his body was a complete wreck. A door leading to another part of the dungeon had appeared but he couldn't move. His vision was failing and he was slowly tripping into unconsciousness. For a second, he regretted not picking the healing clone. But without his enhanced speed no amount of healing could have brought him this far.
After an undetermined period, Dylas woke up and found Edard lying on the ground, unconscious. He had no external wounds but he was deathly pale, a sign of internal bleeding.
"Well, that's why I specialized in healing." Dylas murmured to himself as he carried Edard to the safe zone.
Meanwhile, the increasing audience outside had seen many surprises. First of all...

America Appears in Another World
One day, the U.S finds itself in an impossible situation where the world around it has changed dramatically! No allies can be contacted, and the economy starts to sour. What will happen to this nation we call the United States of America?-------------------------------------------------------------
8 261Iron Saga - A Military science fiction adventure
This is my first attempt at anything resembling a novel. I planned it as an ongoing story with my main character Leo go through different arcs. This story will have many aspects, ideas, and inspirations I care about in it. The genre is primarily being military science fiction with a sprinkle of litrpg and elements throughout the story.
8 195Devil Inside
Life is unfair... Nothing is more truer than these three words. Michael Pierce lived his life struggling, with his parents dead and no one to ask for help, he was at the bottom of society. It was inevitable that one day he would die, whether by mugging from another bottom-feeder or by his poorer than poor lifestyle. To his surprise, it was either. Walking home from his daily routine of looking for scraps, he met with a young man whose eyes was empty and a dead-pan face, to his surprise the man was atop a dead woman's corpse. The woman was just shot, as there was smoke trailing from the hole of the gun pointed at Michael's head. He didn't move nor flinch but before he could do anything a bullet quietly passed through his head killing him.
