《Overpowered》Chapter 23:

The dog owner turned out to be this sweet little old woman frantically losing her mind. After ten minutes of the interview, Darion was ready to look for the dog like it was his own lost child.
The picture explains that he is looking for a short-legged beagle. He found out that it wasn't a puppy. According to the staff, the stupid dog ran away at least a hundred times already, almost once every week. But today, Mrs. Withfield believed something truly bad will happen to her dog if she is not found immediately.
Darion also found out that the old biddy turns out to be a close relative of the governor and she lives in a fucking mansion on top of land property the size of Manhattan.
"Please find my little poopie!" she pleaded, holding Darion's hand. The grandma is a tiny little thing with expressive blue eyes and reminds Darion of Tweety bird's owner. He sighed helplessly. After what happened with Alana, Darion believed that he is rather immune to most forms of female seduction and persuasion. Unfortunately, Darion is a sucker to adorable little cute grandmas, and he promised things that he shouldn't be promising.
Darion examined the dog's sleeping quarter and pick up a few of the shed furs of the beagle- he smelled it long enough to familiarize his senses with the dog's scent, and then he was off.
He couldn't use his super-speed at the moment since there are a lot of civilians out in the neighborhood early that morning so all he could do is jog towards the dog's scent.
He was hoping he could use the hovercraft to look around but Hero central explained that the Bluestar transport vehicle is there only to bring heroes in and out of the "battlefield" and nothing more, certainly not to be used as support tools for doggy fetch mission.

Muttering curses, Darion resolved to create his own support system himself in the future.
Thankfully, his time in the army training camp had gotten him into excellent shape, so it was only a mild annoyance to cover several miles by jogging.
He was following the scent of the dog for the last 15 minutes when a new message distracted him.
Congratulations! Due to your diligence, you are able to increase your skill, "Heightened Senses" by 1.
Requirements: PERCEPTION 1
Current Level: 3
He read it once, thought about it, and then swiped the message away.
His "Focus Mind" traits kept him to his task and did not wonder much about checking his stats again. Eventually, the scent led him to an abandoned house several miles away from the mansion. Darion looked back from where he came originally and wondered how in the world did the damned dog get here with his short legs.
He must've really hated being with his owner, Darion thought with a chuckle. He hopped the partition fence and entered the house.
Darion found the dog tearing up what's left of the rag-like curtain on one side of the open veranda room.
The dog turned to him, and its eyes knew, just knew, that Darion arrived there to return him to the granny.
The beagle bolted in the other direction.
Darion tracked the dog and then lifted him up with his telekinesis powers. The dog struggled violently accompanied by a series of panic barks. Eventually, it ran out of energy and started to whine instead.
The beagle floated towards Darion and he looked the dog right in the eye. The dog gave him a subdued growl, knowing that his fun is over because of this interfering human.
Darion smiled at him.
It took him another 30 minutes as he walked back to the mansion while the beagle is floating behind him. There the little granny greeted him and scooped the dejected dog into her arm. The old lady thanked him profusely but eventually got distracted as she fussed over how dirty the beagle is and demanded an immediate bath for her little poopie. As the dog gets dragged away, he gave a pleading look to Darion who just smiled evilly at the dog.

An old staff member who introduced himself as the majordomo thank Darion again and signed some paper in his datapad before bidding him farewell.
Darion hopped back to the hovercraft parked in the wide garden just as it started preparing to fly back to the headquarters. It floated in the air for several feet, turned to the right direction, and blasted off.
Just like that, his first official mission as a street hero was completed.
