The Mitocrasis awoke with a lengthy yawn that sounded more like a growl, its eyes lazily passing around the room with disinterest, before looking to its 'young'. The skeleton lay statuesque, as if truly asleep. The beast prodded the skeleton to get up, and through the connection of the bond, rose. The two eyed each other before the Mitocrasis rose silently, it was hungry and it needed to fulfill the new instinct of teaching its young how to hunt.
The two exited the cave, and the Mitocrasis looked around the immediate surroundings, its tail swaying as it sniffed for the scent of anything that intruded near its cave as it slept. However, no new scents had cropped up in the night. Following its morning check, it began walking into the dense trees, the skeleton not lagging far behind.
For several minutes they walked, the mother sniffing for fine prey, and good hunting.
They silently approach a clearing, the Mitocrasis's eyes, glowered hungrily in the shade of tree and brush. It lowers itself in a pouncing form, for any prey that dares cross near.
It looks to the skeleton expectantly, who complies with an awkward push-up like form, its spine arched like a frightened cat about to spring like a jack-in-the-box. The sight of the skeleton amused the Mitocrasis mildly, who returned its gaze to the clearing.
Time passed slowly, the shadows grew larger as the sun continued to reach its zenith. Buzzing continuously rang irritatingly, out as the temperature grew warmer, painstakingly so, for the thick-furred and scaled monster.
Eventually, patience was rewarded as due. In the clearing stepped out one of the Mitocrasis's favorite sort of prey, a Greudna. It was a member of the scientific family Equidae, or at least would be classified as such in our world, with a mixture of horse. It had powerful legs, not meant for speed, but endurance. Its white fur sleek and shiny in the faint light that broke through the tree line. Black beady eyes on its head stared forward, uncaring for bothering to its surroundings. It poked lazily at the ground with a hoof, as it ate the short grass of the floor.

Through the bond, the Mitocrasis told the skeleton to watch and learn. To which the skeleton stayed still, even though it didn't understand anything it was told generally.
The Mitocrasis slunk to the left to strike from the blind spot of its back, Its wings went slack, slowly moving forward after it got into position. Moments passed, as the monster waited for the absolute perfect moment to devour the prey.
It slammed its wings back as it leaped forward, the push from the wings rocketing it forward with fierce, yet graceful speed that no living thing could respond to, and the Greudna was no exception to the king's hunt. With an audible snap, it died its mouth. Generally, the Mitocrasis toyed with its captured prey, however, it had gained the maternal instincts of its kind, thus bore no such desire to do so today. The Mitocrasis had the skeleton follow it back to the cave, tomorrow it would have the skeleton hunt instead. It had to teach its child how to survive after all.
Upon arriving at the cave, the Mitocrasis promptly placed the corpse in front of the skeleton expectantly, unrealizing the fact that the skeleton was in fact, a skeleton. It'd likely make for several more awkward dinners yet.

No problem*

The Rules of Dungeoneering
The First Rule of Dungeoneering: This will kill you Sylvester Bayes, the 4th son of a small baron, has suddenly had his head filled with the memories and work of someone who had dedicated their life to memorizing every dungeon they could find and designing a new RPG system. Not about to waste these gifts, Sylvester quickly sets out to get rich quick and discover the reasons behind his sudden knowledge. (Please note, this is dressed up actual play from my testing of a tabletop RPG. It is actually how the game has gone and there is a very real chance that anyone, including Sylvester, could die in any encounter. To help make my job easier I am using dungeons written by other people, which is why I have listed this as a fanfiction. I put links to all of them in the chapters where they are relevant.)
